New royalty will be crowned. WWE has issued the following press release, announcing the 2023 King and Queen of the Ring event: The General Entertainment Authority, in cooperation with WWE, has announced that WWE King and Queen Of The Ring will be held at the Jeddah Superdome, the world’s largest pillarless Superdome, on Saturday, May 27, 2023. WWE King and Queen Of The Ring is happening in Jeddah, alongside a host of additional exciting events happening in Jeddah throughout the year. This marks the first King Of The Ring Premium Live Event to be held since 2015 and the first crowning of a Queen since the inaugural Queen’s Crown Tournament which took place at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh in 2021. Clearing things up. It had been previously reported that WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus was backstage at Raw this past week and was expected to be on the show. However, that ended up not happening, and Stratus left the arena before the end of the show. According to a report from Ringside News, Stratus had a long meeting with Triple H was and then her participation in the show changed after that. While the majority of injuries to wrestlers take place inside the ring, there are some that happen away from action that can still slow things down. With so many wrestlers needed to get into the Royal Rumble matches, there are only going to be so many spots left for other matches. Lock them in. We are coming up on Survivor Series and this year’s edition is going to be a little bit different. For the first time, we are going to be seeing WarGames make its main roster debut in WWE. There will be two matches on the show with a men’s and women’s match taking place on the show. Now we have a good idea of what one of the matches is going to be. This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE announced most of the women’s WarGames match. Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss challenged Damage Ctrl to compete in the match, with Damage Ctrl accepting. Nikki Cross became the fourth member of Team Damage Ctrl, with one more member to go. She has their eye. There have been a lot of returns to WWE in the last few months and there is nothing to suggest that they are going to calm down. Some of these returns have come out of nowhere with names who never got a serious chance in the company being brought back. That might be happening again as WWE is reportedly interested in bringing back another past star. According to Fightful Select, WWE is interested in bringing back Mia Yim. This comes about a year after Yim was released from the company in November 2021 as part of the Retribution stable, where she was known as Reckoning. Since then, Yim has wrestled on the independents and in Impact Wrestling, where she lost to Mickie James at Bound For Glory in October. There is no word on when Yim would be returning, if she does indeed sign with WWE again.
