WATCH: Bryan Danielson Says It’s Time To Go Home, Walks Out On AEW TV

Back later? There are all kinds of storylines in wrestling, some of which might not make the most sense on the surface. Oftentimes, these stories are things that will not be paid off for a long time, as fans are left waiting to see what is going on. That seems to be what is happening again in AEW, as one of the company’s top stars is saying he will be gone for the time being.

On Sunday at AEW Revolution, Bryan Danielson lost an Iron Man match to AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman, submitting in overtime to give Friedman the win. This week on Dynamite, Danielson talked about how he got where he is by never giving up and did not know what to do now. Danielson said that it might be time he went home before walking away. There is no word on when Danielson will be back on television.

Opinion: This feels like a way to get Danielson off of television for the time being. The good thing is that Danielson is such a made man that he can be gone as long as he likes and still get a huge reaction when he returns. At the same time, there is always the chance that he could be heading back to his roots, say in Ring of Honor, for something of a career recharge.
