Done soon? WWE has a strange history with tag team wrestling, as several teams have been put together over the years, seemingly with the intended result of splitting them up. It can make for some emotional moments when a team is split up, some of which are more interesting than others. Now we might be on the way to another breakup between a team with a bit of history.

Tatum Paxley and Ivy Nile have been teaming together for several months now. The team has recently been having issues with Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, who have been suggesting that Paxley and Nile are not really friends. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan is for Paxley and Nile to split up in the coming weeks. There is no word on how the split is set to happen.

She’ll need something new. With so many wrestlers on the AEW roster and so little television time, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. One of the most common solutions is to put wrestlers together into groups so they can be on screen at the same time. Occasionally changes still need to be made though and that seems to be the case again.

The top storyline in the AEW women’s division is a feud between the AEW originals and the division’s newcomers. The originals, comprised of Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter, have been fighting against Saraya and Toni Storm, but their usual friend Rebel has been missing. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rebel is no longer being used in the story. Since Baker and Hayter are being presented as babyfaces, there is no need for them to have a third woman. There is no word on what Rebel will be doing next.

She has the pull. There are certain stars in WWE who have more status and power than others. It can make for some very interesting moments when they use that status to get something they want, which can range anywhere from something simple to something that changes a fairly important aspect of the company. We might be seeing something in the latter, as a star is pushing for a certain change.

On the December 30, 2022 SmackDown, Ronda Rousey lost the SmackDown Women’s Title to Charlotte in an impromptu title defense. According to Wrestlingnews.co, this is because Rousey and Shayna Baszler will be challenging for the Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39. Rousey has been pushing for the match and according to a source “that’s the match she wants and whatever she wants she gets”. The title match has yet to be announced.

That explains it. The wrestling world has changed quite a bit in recent years as different companies have started to work together. While there would previously be occasional crossovers between promotions, it was rare to see one company working together with another. Now we are seeing it more frequently, which is what was on display this week in a big way.

Ring Of Honor TV made its return this week with its first weekly show after being purchased by Tony Khan last year. At the end of the show, Eddie Kingston made his Ring Of Honor debut, challenging Claudio Castagnoli for the World Title. This comes a day after Kingston quit AEW following this week’s edition of Dynamite. There is no word on if Kingston will regularly appear on AEW TV going forward.

Slight snag. Wrestlers have tried their hands at acting for years now and the connection makes sense. Wrestling is designed around the idea of making fans believe that what they are seeing is real, which has led to wrestlers appearing in the occasional acting project. A prominent WWE wrestler is now trying his hand at it as well, but now things might be slowed down for the time being.

The unnamed film will be a horror movie and is described as “Ichi The Killer Meets Xanadu”. It’s going to be a bit. There are several talented stars on the AEW roster but with only three hours of television in a week, there is only so much that can be done to give all of them something to do. It can be noticeable when someone is gone and that is the situation with a certain missing wrestler. However, it might be even longer than expected before we see him again.

Miro has not wrestled for AEW since All Out in September 2022, one of four matches he wrestled for the company that year. According to Fightful Select, Miro is healthy and only waiting for AEW to give him something to do. Miro also has years left on his contract with the company, having signed a four year extension last year. He is a former TNT Champion, having held the title for about four months in 2021.

I see you back there. We are just over four weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and the show has come together for the most part. If a match has yet to be announced, you can probably guess where it is going based on the regular television shows. However, there is something else that often happens at WrestleMania and now WWE might have spoiled its own surprise.

WWE has released a new poster for WrestleMania 39, featuring Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at the top. At the bottom there is a group shot of several wrestlers, many of whom have matches announced for the show. WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg appears to be in the back of the shot, standing with the other wrestlers. Dogg has not been mentioned on WWE TV as part of the show’s build.

It worked. There are all kinds of different ways to present a wrestler and some of them are more serious than others. Occasionally you will see a wrestler find something that just works for them, even if it might not be the most serious situation in the world. That is the case at the moment on Monday Night Raw, and now we know some more about how it came together in the first place.

For most of the year, Dominik Mysterio has spoken extensively about his time in prison, following his arrest on Christmas Eve for invading his father Rey’s home. Since then, it has been revealed that Dominik only spent a few hours in prison, though he has continued to talk about his time there. In an interview with Inside The Ropes, Dominik said that the idea came about as part of a joke about a character called Prison Mike on the Office. WWE then ran with the idea and it became what it is today.

One way to do it. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as they can put someone out of action for any length of time. There are all kinds of injuries, but there are also various ways to write someone off television with those injuries. We saw a bit of a unique one earlier this week as an NXT star was taken off television, but things might not have been what they seemed.
Wendy Choo was written off NXT TV earlier this week, having been attacked in the parking lot. There is no word on who attacked Choo or how long she is expected to be out of action. According to F4WOnline.com, Choo is out of action with a legitimate injury, though she is not expected to be out of action for very long. Choo last wrestled on the February 16 edition of Main Event. This is the second time that NXT has used a parking lot attack this year to explain a legitimate injury, after Nikkita Lyons was attacked as well.

It’s the go home Dynamite for Revolution and that means we have a stacked show. This time around that includes the Face of the Revolution ladder match plus a Casino tag team battle royal to determine the fourth team in Sunday’s four way Tag Team Title match. That should be more than enough to carry the show so let’s get to it.

All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Big Bill Bill, with Stokely Hathaway, is challenging. Cassidy gets backed to the floor to start and the chase is on, with Cassidy messing with Bill’s mind. With nothing else working, Cassidy even steals Stokely’s glasses before tumbling away from Bill. Back in and the tornado DDT is countered into a side slam to plant Cassidy for the first time.
A running big boot puts Cassidy on the floor and it’s time to set up the table (which they do move to the end of the ramp for once). Cassidy..

That would have been different. There are several titles under the WWE banner these days and some of them are among the most important championships in wrestling history. Some of those former champions are quite the legends of the company and it means a lot for them to show up every so often. Now a current WWE star is revealing a plan he had to honor one of those former champions.
In a recent post on TikTok, Miz talked about a plan he had to drop the Intercontinental Title to the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania. While he held the title, Miz wanted to defeat all former Intercontinental Champions at WrestleMania in a gauntlet lumberjack match. The Warrior would enter as a surprise final entrant and defeat Miz to win the title in short order. Miz said he tried to make this happen but could never pull it off. Warrior was a two time Intercontinental Champion, having held the title twice from 1988-90.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Brock Lesnar agreed to face Omos at WrestleMania 39. According to Fightful Select, there were multiple matches pitched for Lesnar before Omos was chosen as his WrestleMania opponent. These names included Gunther, Bobby Lashley (who Lesnar had been feuding with on and off for over a year) and Bray Wyatt. There is no word on why the previous matches were called off or how far Omos was down on the list.
