That’s a serious problem. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and unfortunately several of them have left the company under less than ideal circumstances. Some of those instances are due to something taking place in a wrestler’s personal life, which is what seems to have happened to a former WWE star whose career fell apart as a result.

Former WWE star referee Brad Maddox appeared on Wrestling With Rip Rogers and revealed that his WWE career came to an end due to pornography and sex addictions. Maddox said that his addictions became mind consuming and his was not focusing on his work. He was released from the company in November 2015 after insulting the crowd during a dark match. During his time in WWE, he served as a wrestler, a referee and the Raw general Manager.

It could be a bit. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and unfortunately some of them are a lot worse than others. You never know when you are going to see someone get hurt and they can happen in the blink of an eye, even right in the middle of a match. That seems to be the case again and now it very well may be something that keeps a star on the shelf for the time being.

Last week on NXT, Gigi Dolin defeated Jacy Jayne in a grudge match after the two split up as Toxic Attraction. This week, Jayne appeared with her arm in a sling and revealed that she had suffered a separated shoulder early in the match. There is nothing to suggest that the injury is a storyline and there is no word on when Jayne will be medically cleared to return to the ring.

We’re in Canada this week and that means it is time for…well it doesn’t really mean much but the All-Atlantic Title is now the International Title with Orange Cassidy defending against Jeff Jarrett. Other than that we have MJF’s Re-bar Mitzvah, which should be quite the spectacle. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Here is MJF, complete with four women (one of who he kisses) and a chyron that says “Jewish AF” for the Re-Bar Mitzvah. He already had one of these back when he was a kid and it was awesome. Now though, he has beaten Bryan Danielson so it is time to do it again on the big stage because HE IS IRON MAN. MJF says hit the music so here are a bunch of people with a chair, meaning it’s time to dance in a circle (which I believe is a religious tradition)…but here is Jungle Boy to interrupt.

He’s back? There are all kinds of ways to present talented wrestlers but not all of them are going to be hits. Occasionally you will see someone go from an idea that works very well to something that just misses and there is little way to predict what is going to happen. That was the case again recently in WWE, but now there is a chance of switching back to what worked before.

In March 2022, former NXT star Pete Dunne made his full time debut on SmackDown as part of the Brawling Brutes. However, Dunne’s name had been changed to Butch, with his teammates saying that is how they had known him for years. Butch also was now a wild man who would run around the arena and try to fight any opponent he could, unlike his more calm demeanor before the name change. It came from the source. It had been previously reported that the Bella Twins were officially leaving WWE for good and had rebranded themselves as Nikki and Brie Garcia. One of the main questions that has risen is the wrestling future, particularly when it comes to AEW.
That question was answered today on Instagram Live, where Nikki confirmed that her and her sister would not be going to AEW. You can see a clip of that below:

Garcia also mentioned that there was fan speculation that things have soured between both them and WWE. She said it seems that way because of “everything in the past” but there are no hard feelings.

I’ll take the Garcias at their word, as they have absolutely no reason to taint their legacy by going to AEW. That being said, it wouldn’t surprise me if Tony Khan threw a bunch of money at them to get a major pop for one nig..

She’s in. There are a lot of talented wrestlers in the world today and several of them are able to be seen on national television on a regular basis. It can mean a lot for someone to get their chance on a bigger stage and occasionally that is exactly what you get to see. It was the case again this week, as a former WWE star made their official AEW debut with a target already in sight.

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite was held in Canada, with TBS Champion Jade Cargill issuing an open challenge to any Canadian. Cargill retained her title over Nicole Matthews in less than a minute, but after the match Taya Valkyrie debuted and attacked Cargill’s associate Leila Grey. Valkyrie is a former NXT star, where she wrestled under the name Frankie Monet, as well as a former Knockouts Champion. AEW President Tony Khan has since announced that Valkyrie is All Elite, suggesting she has signed with the company.

It’s a Hall Of Fame thing. Wrestling has a history of working with celebrities and it has been a mixed bag over the years. There are several celebrities who are there for the sake of promoting their latest project and nothing more, while there are occasionally celebrities there for their love of wrestling (among other things). The latter was the case this week and a WWE legend got involved as a result.

Bad Bunny, who has worked with WWE multiple times in the past and is set to host this year’s Backlash, was a guest on the Late Late Show this week. During the interview, wrestling was brought up, resulting in Bunny bringing out Rey Mysterio. Host James Corden then faced Mysterio in a match, where he was quickly defeated. Mysterio is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame later this month.

They’re done. Tag teams have a strange history in WWE as they often feel like they are put together for the sake of being split up. This can cause some rather abrupt endings for teams, as they seemingly go from happy to split in a matter of days. Something similar has happened again in NXT as a team that only started having troubles a few weeks ago have now split up.

Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley split up this week on NXT when Paxley turned on Nile during a match. The two were involved in a #1 contenders triple threat match when Paxley refused to accept Nile’s tag and then attacked her. This comes after a few weeks of taunting from Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, who have been saying that the two are not a real team. The two had been regularly teaming together since August 2022.

He’s a big one. While there are all kinds of accomplishments and milestones to be achieved in WWE, there are very few that stand the test of time. Almost any title that is won is eventually going to be lost, which creates a problem for remembering some wrestlers more than others. There is one honor that sticks around forever though and now another star is receiving the special recognition.

This week on the Bump, Ric Flair announced that the Great Muta will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame as part of the Class of 2023. Muta never wrestled in WWE but did have multiple stints in WCW over the years. He wrestled his retirement match earlier this year, with AEW’s Sting and Darby Allin joining him in his final match under the Great Muta persona. Muta is the second inductee, following Rey Mysterio.
