They’re gone for a bit. With so many wrestlers on any of the WWE rosters, it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. There are only so many ways around this problem, with one of the simplest being to have less wrestlers. WWE has already let a bunch of wrestlers go in recent years, but now there are three more who will not be around for the time being.
The main event of this week’s edition of NXT saw Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs defeat Gallus in a Pub Rules match. Following the match, Gallus attacked a referee and were arrested to end the show. NXT’s Twitter has sent out an announcement saying that the team was suspended indefinitely. Gallus moved to NXT from NXT UK in July and has challenged for the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Things got shaken up in a big way last week as Ilja Dragunov debuted to add quite the wild card. JD McDonagh is the new #1 contender to Bron Breakker’s NXT Title but Dragunov is going to be put into a top spot rather quickly. This should be interesting on top of everything else around here so let’s get to it.
Here is Ilja Dragunov to get things going. He has beaten a monster to win gold before and now he is ready to do it again. This time it isn’t Gunther though, but rather Bron Breakker. Cue JD McDonagh to call Dragunov a sneaky, dirty little rat and to say that he hopes Dragunov’s ankle is healed.
McDonagh offers to end Dragunov’s career but here is Breakker to interrupt. Breakker says the title isn’t going anywhere but McDonagh has an idea: Dragunov vs. Breakker with McDonagh being there for to face the winner. That doesn’t work for Breakker, who says if his ma..

One less on the calendar. WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world and that gives them a lot of advantages over other companies. One of their major strengths is the name recognition that comes with running regular events around the country. It means something to get to see the action live, but that will not be the case for some fans.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE has canceled its upcoming Sunday Stunner event on October 16 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. There was no reason given for the cancellation of the show, which would have been the first WWE event in the venue, and no makeup date announced. The event was to be a SmackDown show, featuring matches such as the New Day vs. the Usos and Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross.
Opinion: This one comes a bit out of nowhere and I’m curious to know why the show was canceled. There is always the chance that it was due to low ticket sales, which would not be the most shocking in a new venue. WWE is on a bit of a roll ..

He would know. There has been a lot of movement in the wrestling world in recent months, with stars either jumping from one promotion to another or just taking some kind of a hiatus. That has led to some interesting changes in the wrestling landscape and it is not clear where it will all end. However, one star whose name has been discussed in recent weeks has spoken up and straightened a lot of things out.
In recent weeks, Malakai Black has been reported to have left AEW or at least taken a hiatus from the company. Black released a statement saying he was recalibrating after several years and would need some time to think. This week, Black live streamed a video on his Instagram page, addressing several of the rumors and explaining some of his current situation. Here are some highlights:
• Black’s contract with AEW is not for five years.
• Black has been granted time off from AEW by Tony Khan to deal with some things.

Well that’s a turn. WWE has been running quite the mystery in recent weeks, but very little of it has been taking place on television. Instead, WWE has been doing more of an underground story, with incidents taking place at live events and a series of QR codes appearing on television, leading to more clues. There was another one this week and things got even weirder.
A new QR code appeared this week on Monday Night Raw, taking you to a site that features a collection of WWE clips which comprise the words “Who killed the world? You did.” It also included coordinates for Prata Nevoso, Italy, the location of the Giant Pink Bunny. In addition, according to Ryan Satin, looking at the site’s source code shows the phrases “No man is ever truly good, no man is ever truly evil”. These were the lyrics to Aleister Black’s WWE theme music, though there is nothing to suggest that Black is on his way back to WWE.

Not so much for that. The rise of AEW has opened up several new doors for wrestlers, as stars now have a new platform to ply their trade on a big stage. AEW has had some success so far and the question now becomes how much of that can they maintain. At the same time, there are going to be some wrestlers who want out, but it seems that one recent story wasn’t accurate.
Last week, a report surfaced saying that Bobby Fish, who has left AEW, was trying to get Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to return with him to WWE. However, according to Fightful Select, AEW sources are denying this story and there has been no contact between WWE and Fish about a possible return. Both Cole and O’Reilly are currently out of action with injuries and it is not known when they will be back.
Opinion: This makes a bit more sense, as even if the three of them wanted to go back to WWE, there is a long list of issues that they would have to solve with their AEW deals in the first place. The Undisputed Era could work..

WCPW Pro Wrestling World Cup Finals

So back in 2017, What Culture Pro Wrestling (later Defiant Wrestling) set up a massive tournament with wrestlers from around the world taking part. As you can guess, this is the big final, with both the semifinals and finals taking place. This was a cool concept and I didn’t get to see any of it but here’s the big ending. Lets get to it.

He’s back. There are all kinds of stars on the WWE roster and some of them are all time legends. WWE knows how to present those wrestlers on a less frequent basis for the sake of keeping them looking strong and it can mean a lot to see those wrestlers show up again every so often. That was the case again this week as a star returned and looks ready for his next big showdown.
The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Riddle defeat Damian Priest with the rest of Judgment Day at ringside. Following the match, Edge made his return to the show and attacked Judgment Day before challenging Finn Balor to an I Quit match at Extreme Rules. This was Edge’s return after a two week absence when Judgment Day attacked him and injured his knee.

Monday Night Raw

We are less than two weeks away from Extreme Rules and the card could use some work. There are some more matches that could be added to the card and the show could use some more extreme. That shouldn’t be difficult to figure out and I’m curious to see what they do. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Here are Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka for a chat. Belair would call out Bayley right now but she knows it wouldn’t be a fair fight. Last week, Bayley should have fought Bliss one on one but that wasn’t the case. Cue Damage Ctrl, with Bayley saying she is taking over WWE and that means getting the title back. Belair says Bayley was great but then she got hurt and now someone new is here. Bayley wants the title and she’ll take it in a ladder match at Extreme Rules. For now though, we need a match.

The show isn’t over. There are a lot of different ways to present a wrestling feud and some of them are more effective than others. One of the best ways is to create a personal issue between two people, which is the direction several feuds take. That is the case with one of the more prominent issues WWE is presenting at the moment and that was obvious after Monday Night Raw went off the air.
The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw featured Riddle defeating Damian Priest. WWE has posted a video to Twitter, showing Seth Rollins coming out after the show to brawl with Rollins, with referees and agents separating them. Rollins and Riddle have been feuding for the last few months and are set for a match at Extreme Rules inside the Fight Pit on October 5.

Add them on. WWE has a lot of major shows throughout the year and some of them need something extra to make them stand out. As a result, WWE has special themes for a lot of its shows, some of which are about as cut and dry as you can get. That includes next month’s Extreme Rules, which will be built around more violent matches. We ight have seen two more added this week.
This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE added a stipulation to a previously announced match and likely added an entirely new match. The show opened with an exchange between Bayley and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. Bayley said she wanted their already announcement match at Extreme Rules to be a ladder match, which was made official later in the show. The final segment of the show saw Edge make his return and challenge Finn Balor to an I Quit match at Extreme Rules, though that match has yet to be made official.
Opinion: This is the kind of night that the show needed as there wasn’t a ton of extreme on the card. WWE h..

Welcome back to the family. WWE has been shaken up in a lot of ways in recent months, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. One of the biggest changes has been due to the amount of wrestlers who have been brought back. That can make for some very exciting television and WWE did it again this week, with a surprise return and debut taking place at the same time.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Candice LeRae made her return to the company and main roster debut, defeating Nikki Ash. LeRae had been absent from WWE since late 2021 as she went on maternity leave. Her contract expired in May of this year and she chose not to renew it. LeRae’s husband Johnny Gargano is also on the Monday Night Raw roster, having returned to the company last month.
Opinion: LeRae might not be a game changer (yet) but she is certainly a nice debut as she never got a chance on the main roster. If nothing else, it is nice to see LeRae and Gargano on the same show again as you do not see many real life..
