We Might Know Who Brock Lesnar Is Facing At WrestleMania 35

Burning down the Beast. Brock Lesnar is the most dominant Universal Champion in the title’s short history. There’s only so much that can be done against him, as he’s a nearly unstoppable monster with almost no weaknesses to his game. Only Roman Reigns has been able to do much against him most of the time and that brings up the question of who could stop him. Well now we have a possible idea.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plans are for Lesnar to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35 with a story coming together based off of Reigns battling leukemia. The two have fought before on pay per view, with a match at Battleground 2015 where Lesnar challenged Rollins for the WWE Championship, winning by disqualification when Undertaker interfered.
Here’s how things go between them.

Opinion: I like the idea, save for the motivation. We’re already in the middle of one story involving Reigns’ illness and a second really isn’..

WWE Doesn’t Have Return Date For Becky Lynch Yet

After suffering a legitimate injury at the hands of Nia Jax, Becky Lynch finds herself in a very interesting position. The Lass Kicker’s momentum is thriving and the image of her bloody face in front of a roaring WWE Universe has her on the verge of something huge with the company. However, everyone is still waiting on Becky’s return to SmackDown.
According to a report from Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE officials still don’t have the return date for the SmackDown Women’s Champion. The company takes concussions as seriously as possible, which leaves Becky Lynch on the sidelines indefinitely. That gives them additional issues heading into TLC if Lynch isn’t cleared over the next few weeks.
Related: Backstage News Regarding Becky Lynch’s Potential Babyface Turn For instance, The Lass Kicker hasn’t defended her championship since WWE Evolution back in October. WWE officials can be lenient with the “30 day rule,” but Lynch will be in danger of being “stripped” of the title as soon as next..

Kenny Omega: “If My Motivation Was Money, I Would Already Be In The WWE”

Kenny Omega was recently interviewed by The Business Times at the 2018 Gamestart Asia Gaming Convention. He discussed a number of topics, including learning Japanese, NJPW, joining WWE and more.
Below are some highlights from the interview:
On learning Japanese to be able to participate in NJPW:
“I would ask him for translations and he would tell me words and phrases I could use in conversation and I would write them down in my notebook. I would study them and memorise them and eventually, I had a huge list of words and sentences. I was able to look at these words and sentences and take apart the grammar and made my own sentences. I could recite my own thoughts. It was kind of a very strange way to learn but that was how I started to really build my own Japanese.”
On representing IWGP as champion:
“I am sort of very much a part of representing an alternative. If my motivation was money, I would already be in the WWE. I was down on the current product and I wanted to create a style..

NXT UK Results – November 21, 2018 (Second Episode)

NXT UK
Date: November 21, 2018
Location: NEC Arena, Birmingham, England
Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness
We’re at the semifinals of the tournament now and that means we should be getting to the final in another week or two. Other than that it’s…well fallout from whatever happened an hour ago which the announcers, who aren’t actually in the arena, will call last week. I’m sure someone we’ve seen recently will be around. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
NXT UK Women’s Title Semifinals: Rhea Ripley vs. Dakota Kai There’s some history here as Kai eliminated her from the first Mae Young Classic. The fans sound like they’re behind Kai, even as Ripley takes her down with a test of strength. Ripley sits her on the top for a slap to the face, only to get kicked in the jaw to even things up. A rollup gives Kai two and Ripley is looking annoyed. Some kicks to the chest send Ripley bailing to the floor and a pair of running soccer kicks make it even worse.
Back in and Ripley tosses..

KB’s Review: The NXT Three

Last weekend, WWE presented one of its biggest shows of the year with Survivor Series. Your interest in the show may vary, but there is no denying how big of an event the show is. For me though, I’m rather sick of talking about the thing so instead we’re going to go down a level in the hierarchy but up a good bit in quality with a look at the best show of the weekend, and one of the best shows of the entire year, with a closer look at NXT Takeover: WarGames II.
The show wasn’t exactly huge on the surface with only four advertised matches (though we did get a bonus match) but there were some people who stood out to me on the card and are worthy of some extra attention. I’ve done something like this before but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve more appreciation as the talent on the show really is that good. Today we’re going to look at three people, who are kind of in a past, present and future lineup. That’s a bit of a stretch but it sounds a little bit better than “you’re awesome a..

NXT UK Results – November 21, 2018 (First Episode)

NXT UK
Date: November 21, 2018

It’s time for another double shot as we continue to try and get through all the old tapings, even though there’s another taping scheduled for this weekend. This week’s show will focus on the NXT UK Women’s Title Tournament, with the first round wrapping up to get us down to the final four. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
NXT UK Women’s Title Tournament First Round: Xia Brookside vs. Rhea Ripley Ripley throws her down by the face to start so Xia tries to grapple her down as well. The hurricanrana is countered into a buckle bomb though as the much smaller Brookside can’t do much with the much bigger Ripley. A delayed suplex and a dropkick to the back of the head give Ripley two and it’s off to a standing Texas Cloverleaf. Brookside fights up and snaps off a headscissors before going up top. The high crossbody is countered into the Riptide to give Ripley the pin at 5:14..

That’s A Big Step. Rumored Independent Wrestling Promotion Registers Trademarks, Including Company Name

You mean the denials might have been fake? A few weeks back, rumors began to swirl that Chris Jericho and Jim Ross might be starting a wrestling promotion. Both denied the claims, but it’s not that easy to trust wrestling people. At the same time, there have been rumors that the Elite (Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks) may be starting their own promotion. As it turns out, there seems to be something to that.
According to Ringsidenews.com, a number of trademarks have been registered recently by a group known as All Elite Wrestling LLC. These were all filed in Jacksonville, Florida, with the address matching that of the home stadium of the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team. This would suggest that the group is tied in with Tony Khan, the Jaguars owner, who was rumored to be the backer of Ross and Jericho’s promotion. There is currently no word on Jericho and Ross being involved, though they could be involved as talent. Here are the trademarks that were registered:
• All Elite Wrestling
• AL..

Check Out This Awesome History Of WWE Show Openings

You have to start somewhere. There are a lot of parts to any wrestling show. These can include the wrestling, the promos, the vignettes and the commentary, but the production values, including the show openings, are important as well. A good look to a show can make things look more or less interesting, and one of the few parts that a lot of people are going to see is the show’s introduction. There have been a lot of these over the years, and I think you know where this is going.
If nothing else, the music is still sweet.

WWE has released a video showing the History of WWE TV Show Introductions. The video offers a collection of opening sequences to wrestling shows, with a huge selection of shows from over the years. These openings range from modern shows like Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live to older shows like Tuesday Night Titans and Saturday Night’s Main Event. Some shows have more than one entry included.

Dolph Ziggler Working Through An Injury

Make sure to show off the wound. Whether you like him or not, there is no denying that Dolph Ziggler is one of the most athletic wrestlers around. He can make some of the most difficult looking moves around look so easy and that has been the case for years. However, there is always the chance that he might be slowed down a little bit by an injury, which seems to be the case now.
According to Post Wrestling, Ziggler is dealing with some kind of a foot injury. Ziggler wrestled at the Survivor Series pay per view on Sunday but didn’t appear the following night on Monday Night Raw. There is no word on when he was injured or how long he has been dealing with the issue, or how long he might be out of action. At the moment he is scheduled to appear at Saturday’s Starrcade event, but hasn’t been announced for a match.
Here’s one of Ziggler’s most recent efforts:

Rumor: Is EC3 On His Way To The Main Roster?

He’ll get there. One of the most interesting things to see in the world of WWE is talents getting the call up from NXT to the main roster. Some of these can be almost instant successes while some of them might not be as interesting as others. It’s interesting to see how many people seem like they could make the jump instantaneously while others might take some time. In some cases though, there’s a delay for a specific reason. That’s the case here.
According to Mike Johnson on PW Insider Elite Audio, EC3 might have been ready to be called up around Summerslam but suffered a concussion during his match at Takeover: Brooklyn IV. EC3 missed over a month of action after the show but has since returned to TV. There is no word on when he’ll be called up, though his name has been rumored for a move to the main roster for awhile now.
Here’s what might be coming to the main roster:

Full Match: WWE Tries An Interesting Experiment After SmackDown Live

Maybe it’s time to change. The Miz has been around for a long time, likely a lot longer than most people expected him to last in WWE. He’s won a ton of championship and accomplishments, but one of the dark spots on his record was his less than stellar run as a good guy several years back. Miz has been a bit better received as of late, and there’s a chance that WWE might be trying again.
After this week’s SmackDown Live, Miz fought Daniel Bryan in a dark match. The Miz was cheered and worked as a face throughout the match, which he ultimately lost when Bryan kicked him low. It should be noted that the match took place in Los Angeles, where Miz is billed from. There is no word on if this is a one off thing or an experiment for the future.
Here’s the full match via fan cam:

Opinion: I’ve been a big Miz fan for a long time but I’m a little hesitant about this. Miz is one of the best heels in wrestling and has been for years, which might not tr..

NXT Live Coverage And Results – November 21, 2018

NXT
Date: November 21, 2018
Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California
Commentators: Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson
After everything that went down on Saturday, it’s time for a little breather. That tends to be the best thing that you can get the week after Takeover and that’s even better the day before a holiday. There are some matches from before Saturday’s Takeover, which tend to be pretty entertaining in their own right. Let’s get to it.
We open with the traditional long form recap of Takeover.
Opening sequence.
Keith Lee vs. Fidel Bravo The fans sing about basking in Lee’s glory so the much smaller Bravo shoves him in the fans and demands respect. Lee takes him into the corner for a double chop to the chest, followed by the Supernova for the pin at 1:59.
Result: Keith Lee b. Fidel Bravo – Supernova (1:59)
Video on Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler.
Baszler doesn’t want to talk about Duke and Shafir getting involved in her match.
