Two-Time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair to Make Feature Film Debut

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is obviously no stranger to the silver screen, but the ‘Nature Boy’ is preparing to make his feature film debut. according to WWE’s official website.

The 16-time World Champion is set to make his acting debut in a dramatic comedy that will be executively produced by Flair and his fiance Wendy Barlow.

The film, titled “Uncle Steamroller & Champion Rabbit” is set to focus on an Iraq War veteran who isn’t doing too well with his luck. In an attempt to reclaim his old Heavyweight Championship as Uncle Steamroller, the veteran mounts a comeback accompanied by a failed motivational speaker.

Flair himself is set to play the president of the World Wrestling Union. This is a Las Vegas syndicate through which Uncle Steamroller will attempt to stage the comeback.

Flair had the following to say to The Wrap about the movie:

“I really like this wonderfully written script and find it to be very entertaining. The edgy sense of humor is great, but the story also has a good heart. I’m expecting the inspirational storyline will appeal to fans that extend beyond my loyal core wrestling base, and I am seriously looking forward to getting this film in front of worldwide audiences. Wooooooooooooooooo!”

Writer and supervising producer Brian Kowalchuk had his own words on the movie:

“It’s really cool to have the fabulously talented Ric Flair on board and we are super-thrilled. I tried to write something fresh and bold, and put a lot of work into it. Even so, I think I might’ve gotten a bit lucky because it seems like maybe it could find a good audience. Especially considering it’s R-rated material.”

We personally can’t wait to see what Flair gets up to in the movie. He has been rather prominent to a wider audience in the past few weeks.

One such case is the new rap song created by 21 Savage, Offset and Metro Boomin, ‘Ric Flair Drop’ is a song all about the beloved wrestling icon. Check it out.
