[ANNOUNCEMENT] Our Mission Has Changed, We Want Your Voice To Be Heard!

Top Rope Press is looking to bring all kinds of new people on board. It’s past time that we continue to distinguish ourselves from every other wrestling site. Sites that report the same thing everyday and regurgitate the same opinions by the same voices every week.
How do we do this? We strive to become the most inclusive wrestling site out there. In a field where men have continued to dominate coverage, Top Rope Press has always strived in connecting with our female audience. Look no further than our managing editor, our own Abbey Arthur. We are looking to expand our full time staff and contributors to include every possible voice in pro wrestling’s fandom.
What Are We Looking For?
- All voices
- All opinions
- All promotions
- All points of view
What Does This Mean?
- We want to shed light on issues that other websites don’t report on.
- We want to hear from people that other websites won’t normally let speak.
- We want coverage from everywhere, not just pro wrestling’s big old gorilla in the room.
- We want to give everyone in wrestling’s vast audience a voice and a platform to tell their stories, promote their projects (like podcasts), and introduce people to wrestlers & promotions that are great but don’t get mainstream coverage.
Who Do We Want?
- Men, women, children, puppies, kittens, the occasional alien…we want EVERYONE!
- If you are a wrestling fan and have a point of view that you feel is underrepresented, you are who we are looking for.
What Content Do We Want?
- Opinions
- Guest editorials
- In-depth stories on underreported topics
- Podcasts
- Show reports, wrestler profiles, interviews, promotion coverage from all over the globe
- And, if you want to pitch in on our regularly-scheduled content (like news, PPV recaps, major promotion coverage), that’s great, but it’s not required.
Will You Get Paid?
At this point, this is probably not in the cards though it could be depending on your dedication to the website and how regularly you participate in helping out with growth. However, if you are a content creator, we are committing to giving you free-promotion by advertising your podcasts, artwork, and whatever else you want published on the site. Free of charge. Our mission is to give everyone a voice in this wacky world of professional wrestling by using Top Rope Press as your platform.
We are looking to expand, and the more we grow, the more revenue the website makes. We are looking to make this site stand out from the rest. A great way to do that is to have your voice be heard on a platform that is open to “out of the box” opinions.
Requirements
- All we ask is that you know how to spell (or at least use spell check), can string coherent sentences together, and can present your point of view in an intelligent, entertaining, engaging, and cohesive way.
