Jeff Jarrett Misses Scheduled Appearance Under Odd Circumstances, Promoter Apologizes To Fans
Jeff Jarrett was scheduled to appear on Saturday night for RCW Wrestling’s Rise of Legends: War Games show, but even though he was in Edmonton, he wasn’t on the show or his scheduled meet and greet. Jarrett apparently left for “personal reasons” but when you dig a little deeper, the situation gets a bit more odd.
The promoter for the event issued the following statement on Twitter about Jarrett’s missing the event.
@RealJeffJarrett will not be appearing tonight at RCW rise of Legends due to unforseen circumstances. @DBSmithjr will still be appearing and defending the stu hart heritage title,

Someone then pointed out that Jarrett had flown in for the show.

There have been rumors floating around for some time about Jeff Jarrett having a drinking problem. And, reportedly, that problem led to his being ousted from Anthem and Impact Wrestling during the summer after a less-than-professional showing at AAA’s TripleMania event and problems backstage at Impact with Anthem officials.
RCW also posted the following on Facebook explaining the situation further.
“RCW has the unfortunate news to report that Jeff Jarrett will be not appearing at tonight’s event in Edmonton due to reasons beyond the company’s control as Jeff Jarrett has boarded a plane and left the country on his own accord this morning. Jeff Jarrett did appear last night in Calgary at the RCW event but again has chosen to leave the country due to his own issues.”
