Cass went to hit his signature big boot on Amore, who dodged it, and Cass took an awkward fall to the outside. He tried to stand but it was clear there was something wrong. The referee made the dreaded “X” gesture, which signaled a legitimate injury occurred and medical assistance was required.

Cass was visibly furious with the referee stoppage and injury. As a reminder, RAW is a live program and there were audio cuts while Cass was shouting expletives. The referee gave Amore the victory since Cass could no longer compete due to the injury.
