Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – RAW/Smackdown Analysis, Cena’s A Pro, Why Beat Jinder? More!

Russo is joined on today’s show by Jeff Lane and Big Vito.

Russo says that one thing really bothered him from RAW this week. Just over seven minutes into the show Brock Lesnar’s role was over, and he was done for the night. Russo can’t understand why WWE  continues  to bring in Lesnar for these rare appearances and only use him for a short period of time at the top of the show. Why couldn’t have Lesnar made an appearance again at the end of the night?

He points out that WWE could have promoted that Lesnar was going to actually have a match on this show, and have him go one on one with The Miz. However, Russo admits that there might be something in Lesnar’s contract that states he’s only able to work a certain amount of matches.

Russo hates how ‘cookie-cutter’ these shows have become. He says it’s the same old formula used week after week now, and he points to the tag team division for proof. Last week Sheamus took on Rollins, and Ambrose faced Cesaro. This week each partner switched opponents and we saw two more matches. Russo thinks this is lazy from WWE, and they could have done something different like a backstage attack.
