John Hennigan (Lucha Underground’s Johnny Mundo and WWE’s John Morrison) is set to make his Global Force Wrestling debut in August as part of a talent swap between GFW and Crash out of Mexico. He will be joined by Drago and Taya Valkerie.

Rey Mysterio is coming to the end of his deal with Lucha Underground, and it’s being reported that he is negotiating with both WWE and GFW at this time. Karen Jarrett fueled rumors of Rey heading to GFW after posting a picture of the two of them on Instagram earlier this week.

Gail Kim, who announced her retirement from in-ring competition earlier this month, will have a backstage role in GFW when her active wrestling career is over. The announcement of her new role was announced by Jeremy Borash during a Global Force talent conference call earlier today.

Also on that conference call, Borash was asked about Alberto El Patron, who is currently indefinitely suspended by the company due to the recent domestic violence incident between him and Paige, being advertised for live events in New York next month. Borash said the whole situation is still under review.

And, on a final Global Force note, it’s being reported that new contracts being presented to company talent require that a percentage of their independent bookings be given to the promotion, as well as 100% of their merchandise sold through the company.
