Mae Young Classic Results (7/14/17): Night Two SPOILERS (Quarter & Semi Finals)

The second night of the WWE’s Mae Young Classic women’s tournament concluded with surprise wins and the final round’s competitors set. For results from the first night, click here. But on Friday night, fans attending the tournament at Full Sail University saw the Round of 16, quarterfinal, and semifinal matches filmed. The taping saw the return of WWE superstars sitting ringside along with UFC fighter Ronda Rousey. In addition to the tournament matches, two additional special matches took place with the eliminated competitors from Thursday night and from the alternates who were on reserve for the tournament.

The second night also saw Triple H appear to honor Performance Center coach Sara Del Ray. There was also a friendly altercation between the WWE’s “Four Horsewomen” of Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch (Sasha Banks has been in New Zealand) and mixed martial arts’ “Four Horsewomen” of Rousey, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke.

Non-Tournament Matches:

Deonna Purrazzo and Jessica James defeated Barbi Hayden and Nicole Matthews.

Jazzy Gabert, Tessa Blanchard, and Kay Lee Ray defeated Santana Garrett, Marti Belle, and Sarah Logan.

Mae Young Classic Tournament Round of 16

Abbey Laith defeated Rachel Evers.

Piper Niven defeated Serena Deeb.

Mercedes Martinez defeated Princesa Sugehit.

Kairi Sane defeated Bianca Belair.

Toni Storm defeated Lacey Evans.

Shayna Baszler defeated Mia Yim.

Dakota Kai defeated Rhea Ripley.

Candice LeRae defeated Nicole Savoy.

Quarterfinals:

Mercedes Martinez defeated Abbey Laith.

Shayna Baszler defeated Candice LeRae.

Toni Storm defeated Piper Niven.

Kairi Sane defeated Dakota Kai.

Semifinals:

Shayna Baszler defeated Mercedes Martinez.

Kairi Sane defeated Toni Storm.

Following the result of each semifinal match, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Sara Del Ray entered the ring to congratulate the winner. The night ended with Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler posing next to the Mae Young Classic trophy. The matches filmed on Friday night will be available on-demand on the WWE Network on Monday, September 4. The final round of the Mae Young Classic will take place live from Las Vegas on Tuesday, September 12, airing exclusively on the WWE Network.
