Cody Rhodes took to Twitter to update fans on the condition of his recently injured shoulder. While there was apparently a separation, he seems to be ready to continue his time in the ring, uninterrupted. It’s unclear where and when the initial injury occurred, but at lease he is not going to need surgery

The American Nightmare last appeared on NJPW’s G1 In USA shows, where he faced off with Kazuchika Okada. Rhodes lost that match, but it seemed to gain him a bit more acceptance in NJPW circles; Dave Meltzer even gave the match 4.5 stars.

I’m sure the powers that be at Ring of Honor are breathing a sigh of relief as well, as their newly crowned champion can continue his title defenses. There’s no word yet on who will be Cody’s first challenger for the ROH World Title nor where his first title defense will be.

Rhodes recently talked about his injuries and fighting through the grind of the pro graps schedule.

“There is an honor to what we do, and there are no shortcuts. I’m in the best shape I can possibly be in and I’m drug free. I’m doing what I have wanted to do my entire life, so life is good.”
