Roman Reigns Leading Off RAW; Cena’s Schedule; Owens Not Injured
Kevin Owens Dodges Injuries At Money In The Bank
Kevin Owens is reportedly doing fine after what appeared to be an injury scare during last night’s Money In The Bank match. Owens took several nasty looking bumps during the course of the match and had to be helped to the back after. It was reported as a possible leg injury, but apparently it’s nothing serious.
Roman Reigns Kicking Off RAW Tonight
.@WWERomanReigns will kick off #Raw with a BLOCKBUSTER #SummerSlam announcement TONIGHT at 8/7c on @USA_Network! https://t.co/5JyVpMd5s9

Roman Reigns’ SummerSlam announcement will be the first segment on RAW tonight. What that announcement will be is still anybody’s guess. I’ve seen both John Cena and Goldberg thrown out as possible Reigns’ opponents for the big summer show. Cena now being promoted as a “free agent” is what sparked that rumor, though Dave Meltzer refuted it in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter. There have also been rumors Cena will be challenging Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam.
Tonight could also be a setup for Braun Strowman’s return. Strowman, according to the WON, is still on the books to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title at SummerSlam. We shall wait and see.
John Cena Working Night After SummerSlam
We know that John Cena’s official return to WWE television will take place on July 4th. But it’s also looking like he’s now scheduled for the SmackDown Live Event on August 21st in Albany, New York. That would be the night after SummerSlam. This only strengthens the case that whatever happens on July 4th will lead to Cena returning to the ring at SummerSlam.
