WWE News: Updated Match Cards For Japan Tour & MSG Return

The WWE will make its return to the “Land of the Rising Sun” with two shows this summer, scheduled for June 30th and July 1st. Lineups for both days have been released, although clearly there will be a change in the opener given the Goldust heel turn that took place Monday night.

Also of note is that while both Akira Tozawa and Hideo Itami are booked, but Asuka is not. Neither is Shinsuke Nakamura, but these are RAW shows. At least one SmackDown Live superstar will work though, and that’s Chris Jericho.

WWE Japan Tour

June 30: 

• Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt & Samoa Joe.
• Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz (w/Maryse) for the IC Championship.
• Finn Balor vs. Karl Anderson (w/Luke Gallows).
• Chris Jericho vs. Hideo Itami.
• Enzo and Big Cass vs. Sheamus and Cesaro.
• Bailey, Sasha Banks and Mickey James vs. Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Emma.
• Neville vs. Austin Aries vs. Akira Tozawa for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
• Goldust & R-Truth vs. Bo Dallas & Titus O’Neil.

July 1: 

• Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt.
• Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho vs. Finn Balor vs. The Miz (w/Maryse) for the IC Championship.

• Big Cass (w/Enzo) vs. Cesaro (w/Sheamus),

• Neville vs. Austin Aries for the Cruiserweight Championship.
• Goldust and R-Truth vs. Bo Dallas and Titus O’Neil.

One week later the RAW crew will return to the WWE’s old “home” of Madison Square Garden. The Goldust heel turn is accounted for in the current lineup, but Apollo Crews’ is not. Also, “The Drifter” Elias Sampson is set to work as well on the heel side.
