All For One? More Details On WWE’s Interest In Signing Kenny Omega
It’s a little complicated. The rise of AEW has changed a lot of things in the wrestling world, as there is now another large scale wrestling promotion where stars can go. That is the kind of thing that has been lacking in wrestling for a very long time now but things can go in the opposite way too. Wrestlers are going to leave AEW at some point and now we have some more details about that possibly taking place.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has more details on WWE’s interest in signing Kenny Omega. While Omega signed a four year deal with AEW on February 1, 2019, there is a chance his deal was extended due to missing nine months with various injuries. If AEW adds on the full amount of time that Omega missed, he would not be able to begin negotiations with WWE, or any other promotion, until November.
Omega and the Young Bucks are all represented by Barry Bloom and the feeling is they would want to stay together, wherever they go. WWE made offers to all three before they signed with AEW but did not come to a deal. Finally, the way Cody Rhodes has been treated is seen as a factor, as WWE has presented him as a star despite his time in AEW. There is no word on when the Bucks’ AEW deals expire or which way any of the three are leaning.
That would be a big package deal. Check out what WWE could be going after:

Opinion: This is something that we’ll have to wait on, as the idea of Omega and the Bucks all leaving AEW would be a huge shock. If they feel there is nothing left for them to do in AEW then they might make the jump, though it is almost hard to imagine it happening. There is every chance that Omega and the Bucks stay where they are, but it seems that WWE is ready to make a play.
