Never Too Early: Way Too Early Possible Plans For Summerslam 2023
It’s one of the big ones. WWE has been presenting pay per view events for well over thirty years now and there are several that are among the biggest wrestling shows in the world every year. At the top of the list are the Big Four, with the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Survivor Series and Summerslam. Those shows mean a lot and now we might know something else about an upcoming edition.

According to Fightful Select, Detroit, Michigan is currently a front runner to host Summerslam 2023, though no official selection has been made just yet. If Detroit hosts the show, it is not clear if Summerslam would take place in Little Caesar’s Arena or at Ford Field. The last two editions have taken place in stadium. Detroit has hosted Summerslam before, with the 1993 edition taking place at Joe Louis Arena.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can make for some fun thoughts, as the show might be nine months away but for someone close by, it an cause some plans to start forming. Summerslam is still one of the biggest events of the yea and having it possibly take place inside of a massive stadium would be a great way to go. If WWE wants these things to feel big, this is a great way to start and they seem to be doing just that.
