WWE Has Another Legend On Their Do Not Mention List
That’s pretty specific. There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have made a bigger impact than others. Some names are remembered long after they have left the ring and those people will still be brought up again throughout the years. However, it seems that there are some names that WWE does not want to mention, not even during a special night.
WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson took part in a virtual signing for the Asylum Wrestling Store. During the signing, Wilson spoke about her Hall of Fame induction speech and revealed that she was not allowed to mention Sable. Wilson had included a mention of Sable in her speech as the two of them worked together during her career, but was told to leave it out. There is no word on why Sable was not allowed to be mentioned. Sable had two stints with the company, from 1996-1999 and from 2003-2005. She sued WWE in 1999 for sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions, with the case being settled out of court.
Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on here, but WWE has a long history of having a list of people they don’t want mentioned. That seems to be the case here, or maybe it had something to do with Sable being married to Brock Lesnar. Either way, it is a bit of a strange situation as WWE certainly didn’t mind her lawsuit when they brought her back in 2003. It’s a weird situation, though maybe Sable can be brought back sometime.
What do you think of Sable? Will WWE induct her into the Hall of Fame? Let us know in the comments below.
