Surprise AEW Debut Sets Up New Revolution Match
Welcome back and get going. There are a lot of wrestlers on the AEW roster as the company has put together quite the collection of talent. The company has a great mixture of top level stars, up and coming wrestlers and younger names starting to get noticed. It can be interesting to see what happens when someone else is added to the mix and that was the case this week.
This week on AEW Rampage, Alex Abrahantes, Pac and Penta Obscuro challenged the House of Black to a six man tag at Revolution. The House of Black appeared and accepted the challenge, but Abrahantes said that he had someone else in mind to take his place. This brought out Erick Redbeard, formerly known as Erick Rowan, to help clear out the House of Black, with the six man tag being announced for Revolution. Redbeard has appeared for AEW before, making a one off appearance on the Brodie Lee memorial show in 2022.
Opinion: This is one of those cameos that I didn’t see coming but it was something that made me think it was a nice moment. I’m not sure how long Redbeard is going to be sticking around, but even a one off is better than nothing in this case. Redbeard is good for a big time brawl and that is what he is going to be doing at Revolution, so at least they have the right idea.
