You Might Not Be Seeing An AEW Star For A Little While
Be back later. There are a lot of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster and some of them have stood out in a big way in the company’s short history. It has been great to see a lot of these wrestlers develop and become that much better in an AEW rung. One of the better stars has been taking a beating lately and now it might be a long time before you see her again.
This week on AEW Dynamite, Serena Deeb defeated Hikaru Shida in a short match, injuring Shida’s knee in the process. The match was stopped due to Shida’s injuries, with Deeb being awarded the win. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Shida will be returning to Japan “for a while” after the injury angle on Dynamite. There is no word on how long Shida will be out of action and nothing to suggest Shida has any injury issues.
Shida has been one of the top stars in AEW to date. Check out some of her time in the company so far:

Opinion: This sounds like a way for Shida to get a bit of rest, and if she is not going to be on television, good for her to get to go home for a bit. There is nothing wrong with letting her get to recharge her batteries for a bit and come back better than ever. Shida has been one of the most successful stars the women’s division has ever seen and it is good to see her in a feud like the one she is having with Deeb.
What do you think of Shida’s time in AEW? What will she do when she gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
