First Of The Year: WWE Adds A New Match To Day One

The card grows. We are only a few days away from the end of the year and that means WWE is almost ready to air its next pay per view offering. In this case, it’s Day One, which will be taking place on the first day of the year. That means the card needs to be a strong one, and now we know how things are going to get going, with the first match of 2022 looking interesting.

WWE has announced that Cesaro and Ricochet vs. Ridge Holland and Sheamus will serve as the Kickoff Show match for Day One. This comes after Cesaro has had issues with Holland and Sheamus for several weeks, while Ricochet fought Sheamus in the 12 Days of Christmas gauntlet match. This will be the first time that Ricochet and Cesaro have teamed together on television, though they have teamed together at recent live events.

There is a lot of talent here. Check out what the four of them could do:

Opinion: This is the kind of tag match that could do some good things for the show. Above all else, Ricochet is someone who can get a crowd invested in a show like no other and Cesaro has quite the fan base. Cesaro and Sheamus have some history together and it should make for a good match between the teams. That is a good way to get the show going and hopefully the crowd will approve.
