A Top Summerslam Match Could Be In Big Jeopardy

That’s not a good sign. We are less than a week away from Summerslam, which has all of the makings of the biggest WWE event of the year. There are some huge matches already set for the card and the show should be great if WWE can pull everything off. However, one of the matches might be in some jeopardy of not taking place, at least if this weekend is any indication.

According to PWInsider.com, neither Sasha Banks nor Bianca Belair appeared at Sunday’s WWE live event in Columbia, South Carolina. Belair had been scheduled to defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Banks at the event but neither were on the show, with “unforeseen circumstances” cited. This is the second straight show the two have missed and there is no word on what is wrong or when they will be back in action. The two are scheduled to meet for the title at Summerslam.

Belair and Banks feuded from late January through WrestleMania 37 in April, where Belair defeated Banks to win the SmackDown Women’s Title. Banks disappeared after the show for three and a half months, with her lone appearance being a short cameo on the first SmackDown following WrestleMania. There is no word on if another match will be added to the card if this one cannot take place.

It would be a shame. Check out how we got to this match:

Opinion: This is really not a good sign and at this point, I would be surprised if the match took place. I’m not sure what is going on here, but there is always the chance that this is Coronavirus related. If that is the case, we might not be seeing either of them for the time being and that could be quite the problem for WWE. I’m curious to see what is going to happen, but hopefully everyone is ok and it winds up all being fine.

What does this mean for the two of them? Will a new match be added? Let us know in the comments below.
