NXT Is Already Set For Its First Major Change

That’s certainly a change. NXT has been a rather well received weekly wrestling series and promotion for a long time, but things are shifting a bit. Following the Wednesday Night Wars against AEW Dynamite, it seemed that something needed to be adjusted. Those changes have already started and more are on the way. Now we know one big thing that will take NXT back to its roots.

According to Fightful Select, NXT will be taping several weeks of television on Monday August 23 and Tuesday August 24, the days after Takeover 36. Some regular NXT fans have already sent emails asking about tickets for the tapings. The following weeks will be a mixture of live and taped shows, though there is nothing to suggest that this will be a permanent change. NXT began airing live events in November 2019.

They know how to do the taped thing. Check out some NXT from days past:

Opinion: I’d be curious to know if any of this had to do with the Coronavirus explosion in Florida. NXT might be wondering how long the Capitol Wrestling Center could be available and might be planning in advance. I’m not sure if that is the case, but it certainly would not surprise me. Either way, NXT is going to be planned pretty far in advance and that could be rather interesting, as it has certainly done well before.

What do you think of the change? How will it help or hurt NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
