WWE Roster Shaken Up Following Bray Wyatt’s Release

Can you blame them? The biggest wrestling story over the weekend was WWE releasing Bray Wyatt. The release came rather unexpectedly, as Wyatt, a former multiple time World Champion, had not been on the chopping block or close to it. Since then, news has come out that Wyatt was released as part of the latest WWE budget cuts. How does that make everyone else feel though?

According to Fightful Select, several WWE wrestlers, including several long term names, do not feel safe from similar cuts. Wyatt regularly moved merchandise for the company but was still released anyway. This includes wrestlers who have been with the company for years at any level or in spite of any previous pushes. There is no word on if WWE is planning any more cuts in the near future.

There have been some memorable releases over the years. Check out some of them, plus some Wyatt:

Opinion: I can’t blame the wrestlers for being nervous whatsoever. WWE is going insane with the cuts as of late and Wyatt likely will not be the last. That can be a scary moment for a lot of the people in the company and hopefully a lot of them come out ok. There are going to be a lot of cuts in there somewhere though, and the nervousness that comes with them is very real.
