According to a report from Wrestling Inc., AEW was able able to sign with the company, even though her NWA contract ran through the year. Rosa was to become a free agent in 2022 and was excited about this possibility.

Rosa made her AEW debut back on the September 2, 2020 episode of Dynamite, while she was still the NWA World Women’s Champion. She defeated Serena Deeb that night, but then would lose to then-AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida at All Out just three days later. She has continued to work for AEW and the NWA since then, while also making a few indie appearances.

She also appeared at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary event this past Sunday as the surprise opponent for Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, who retained her title.

Editor’s Opinion:

I’m honestly surprised that it took AEW this long to sign her to a deal. Thunder Rosa is a very talented wrestler and is a great addition to the roster. I hope that she does continues to do great things with the company!
