Top AEW Star Out Of Action “Indefinitely”
I’d say he’s earned it. Most promotions have their share of stars, but there are only a small number of wrestlers who feel like they are above the rest of the roster. Those wrestlers need to be treated like a different kind of star and a wrestling company should be a little more careful with them. That seems to be the case with a current top star, who is getting a bit of a break.
During this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, commentary announced that Jon Moxley will be out of action indefinitely following an attack at Double Or Nothing over the weekend. Moxley had competed in a match for the Tag Team Titles and was hit with four straight BTE Triggers to end the match. There is no word on when Moxley will be back in the ring or on television.
The announcement of Moxley taking time off also comes as his wife, former WWE backstage interviewer and host Renee Paquette is due to give birth later this year. The pregnancy was announced in November, meaning that the baby will likely arrive sometime this summer. Should that be why Moxley is away from television, there is no word on how long Moxley will be out of action once the baby is born, or if he will be back beforehand.
Moxley is certainly a star. Check out some of what he has done in AEW:

Opinion: I’m not sure if Moxley is missing time due to the impending birth, but even if it is something else, it is nice to see Moxley getting a breather. He is one of the most active wrestlers in AEW and it makes sense for him to get a bit of a break. If nothing else, it can allow his body to heal up a bit and every wrestler needs that from time to time. Moxley is going to be near the top of the company all over again as soon as he gets back so this is hardly some kind of career killer for him.
What do you think of Moxley? Will he be World Champion again? Let us know in the comments below.
