WATCH: AEW’s Thunder Rosa Records First Song

It’s another field. Wrestlers are very talented performers in that they are able to go to a ring or grab a microphone and convince fans to watch something that they are doing. That is more difficult than it seems but it can be very effective when it is done right. It also isn’t the only talent that wrestlers have though, and now one prominent name is getting to showcase another one. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Perfect Timing: AEW’s Saraya Undergoes Ironic Surgery AEW’s Thunder Rosa has released a video on her Instagram showing her recording her first single in a studio. Rosa says that the song will be released at some point in early 2023 and that she would be releasing a video of her recording the song on her Patreon. She has also been working with a writer and a singing coach for the song. Rosa has been injured since August and there is no word on when she will be returning to the ring. She seems interested. Check out Rosa in the studio and in the ring: [This post contains video, click..

Fuego Del Sol Buys His Own Wrestling Ring to Train for Bigger AEW Matches

As people outside of the big promotions like AEW, we often forget that we see these performers for maybe 30 mins of television time per week, which could be much less for underutilized talents. If you compare this to the standard 40 hour work week, we’re seeing so little of what actually goes into becoming a star in the wrestling business. For instance, Fuego Del Sol has been training extensively despite limited appearances on AEW programming over the course of 2022. He took to Twitter on Thursday to share his progress and goals into improving his craft as well as being prepared for any future opportunities. I bought a wrestling ring to take my in ring training to another level. Developed a new gym discipline. Working out 6 days a week and already see a difference in my body! Wrestling on the indies more so I stay ring ready and prepared for bigger AEW matches. Confidence way up! https://t.co/3rt9qzaiMn — Fuego Del Sol (@FuegoDelSol) November 17, 2022 During an exchange on Twit..

RUMOR: Triple H Only Interested in Bringing “Non-Controversial” Talent Back to WWE

With Vince McMahon’s retirement and Triple H taking the creative reigns at WWE, there has been a dramatic shift in how many performers have been featured on WWE programming. With many notable talents returning to the company, Triple H has opened the rumor mill to many potential names who could make their return to WWE. Most recently, it’s been reported by the Wrestling Observer that Jonah, formerly known as Bronson Reed during his tenure with NXT and WWE, has been offered the opportunity to come back to WWE. There are also reports of Chelsea Green returning to the company as well. There’s also some smoke surrounding a return for Matt Cardona. Related: WWE Interested In Bringing Back These Former Champions While the rumor mill continues to spin on potential names, a new report from Ringside News details that WWE officials and HHH are looking for returning performers to meet some specific pieces of criteria. The word on the street is that “WWE is looking for really talented performers ..

Two Stars Impressed WWE During Crown Jewel

They’ve caught the right eyes. Wrestlers are a lot of things, but above all else they are performers. Their job is to get in the ring and showcase their training and skills, which can take years to develop. It can be notable when someone gets the promotion’s attention, and that was the case again this weekend, as two WWE stars caught the company’s attention on the big stage. This weekend, WWE presented its annual Crown Jewel event from Saudi Arabia. According to PWInsider.com, WWE was impressed by Omos and Logan Paul’s work during the event. Omos lost to Braun Strowman, with WWE feeling that he has been making progress in the ring. Paul lost to Roman Reigns in the show’s main event, where WWE praised his poise and overall work. There is no word on when Paul will return to WWE. Opinion: It is nice to see some talented stars getting their credit as the two of them both did well on the show. Omos is getting a lot further along than he was before as he is starting to feel a lot more smoo..

WATCH: Kayla Braxton NAILS IT In Latest WWE Halloween Costume

The tradition continues. Wrestlers are a lot of things but at the end of the day they are performers. They spend a long time getting to the point where they can do what they do at such a high level, including mastering their characters. Figuring them out can be rather difficult, but it can be quite the compliment when someone else figures them out almost as well. Over the last few years, Kayla Braxton has dressed as Paul Heyman and Sami Zayn for Halloween. WWE’s The Bump Instagram page has posted a video of Braxton and an unidentified person dressed as the Usos for this year’s Halloween. The two have Uso hats, painted on bears and a pair of title belts each. There is no word on if this will be mentioned on WWE TV. This is pretty impressive. Check out Braxton as an Uso: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is a case of imitation being the sincerest form of flattery as Braxton has clearly studied the Usos enough to make something like this work. The Halloween costu..

WATCH: Shotzi, Scarlett Bordeaux And Harley Cameron Release New Music Video

That might draw some attention. Wrestlers are a lot of things, including athletes and storytellers, but ultimately they are entertainers in one form or another. This can take a variety of forms, with wrestlers often trying out different gimmicks to see what they can make work. Sometimes their talents spill over outside of the ring and that is what some WWE stars have done again. WWE has released a music video of Shotzi, Scarlett Bordeaux and Harley Cameron singing I Put A Spell On You from the movie Hocus Pocus. The three have released music before, with Cameron as the featured star and Shotzi and Bordeaux as featured performers. The song has not been acknowledged on WWE TV and Shotzi and Bordeaux have never appeared together in any way. This is pretty awesome. Check out the song plus another video from the trio: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is one of those things that you do not expect to see but it turned out..

Backstage Update on Jeff Hardy; AEW Status

That’s some good news. Jeff Hardy has not been seen on AEW television since June when he was arrested for a number of violations, including driving under the influence. However, it looks like we may be seeing him sooner rather than later. According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hardy is expected to be out of rehab soon, and back inside the ring. It is unknown exactly when this will be happening. Due to his arrest, Tony Khan suspended Hardy without pay on June 14 of this year. Hardy was mentioned on AEW television this past week by his brother Matt, in a promo setting up a match with Darby Allin. Editor’s Opinion: This is excellent news for everyone involved, and I’m glad he is getting the help that he needs. Despite his age, he is still one of the most exciting performers in the company, and fans always looking forward to seeing him on television. I hope that we see him back sooner rather than later and that he gets to do what he does best! “GET EXCLUS..

Backstage News on How Triple H Is Being Received As Head of Creative

It’s what you want to hear. According to a report from Fightful Select, there is a renewed sense of optimism backstage now that Triple H is in charge of creative for WWE. This is in the aftermath of The Game being in charge of producing both Summerslam and Raw this past week. The report states that even superstars who were not on the show seemed excited about the future with Triple H in charge. One NXT star said that bringing Dakota Kai back to be part of Bayley’s new faction was a great sign and made them hopeful for their future. In addition, two top stars said they were excited not to wrestle the same person every week and are hopeful that will continue going forward. There was a lot of positivity coming out of the show regarding Ciampa and Mustafa Ali having competitive matches with top performers, so they could shine on the show. Triple H will have the opportunity to be in charge of his first Smackdown this week, so we will see how that goes. Editor’s Opinion: Does this reall..

Get Well Soon: NXT Star Injured And Could Be Out For A Long Time

That explains things. NXT has undergone several changes in the last few months, as the show has been relaunched as NXT 2.0. There are very few things that are still around from the old days, but you can still see some of the wrestlers who were around before. Unfortunately that has not been the case with everyone, and now we might know where one of them has been. According to Fightful Select, NXT star Io Shirai is currently out of action with an injury. There are not many details known about the situation, including the nature of her injury or how long she will be out of action. Shirai last wrestled at NXT Stand & Deliver in Dallas, Texas in April and has not been seen on television since. The hope is that Shirai will return at some point this summer, but that is not guaranteed. Opinion: That does explain a bit as there is no other reason to keep someone as talented as Shirai off of television for two months. Shirai is still one of the best performers in all of NXT and could easily ha..

Opinion: This Is Tony Khan & AEW’s Sink Or Swim Moment

It has not been a good week for All Elite Wrestling. Coming out of their recent Double or Nothing pay-per-view, many questions were raised about AEW and their business practices and how things were handled behind the scenes by Tony Khan. With all the controversy surrounding MJF and now with the confusion about their world championship, one thing is evident to me. In my opinion, this is a sink or swim moment for Tony Khan and the future of AEW. Allow me to be very clear and transparent: I am unabashedly and openly not a fan of AEW and haven’t been since the beginning. I believe that Khan has no idea how to run a wrestling company, does not understand the business aspect of it, and his product is nothing but spot fests, blood and deathmatch type matches, and trying to get their small fan base to mark out for every little thing that they do. They have NO IDEA how to tell a story, except for a couple of performers (MJF, CM Punk). As a result, some of my opinions may seem biased. However..

WATCH: AEW Stars Rock Some Karaoke In Las Vegas (This Is AWESOME)

That’s a different side. Wrestlers are a lot of things but above all else, they are performers. These people go out in front of a crowd and do what they can do as well as anyone in the world. You can see some amazing talent from bell to bell, but there are also some talents that you do not get to see in the ring. Some of them were on display this weekend though in a rather fun way. During their time in Las Vegas for Double Or Nothing, several AEW wrestlers performed karaoke songs as part of AEW’s Fan Fest. This included names such as Bryan Danielson, Keith Lee, Rebel, Eddie Kingston, Adam Cole and more. Several of the names will be appearing on the Double Or Nothing pay per view this weekend. There have been several videos of the performances on Twitter. This is great stuff. Alexa Bliss Returns On Monday Night Raw

She’s back! Tonight on Raw, Alexa Bliss made her return to television after being away for several months. She would be the mystery opponent for Sonya Deville, whom she defeated in somewhat of a squash. You can see the return and the match in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] Bliss was last seen on WWE programming at the 2022 Elimination Chamber premium live event back in February. She would eliminate Liv Morgan but then be eliminated herself by Bianca Belair. Alexa returned with what appeared to be her ‘Little Miss Bliss’ gimmick that she has used for the majority of her time in WWE. Since July 2020, she had been playing a supernatural character, that had been manipulated by ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. Sonya Deville was in a state of shock for this match, as she had just been fired as a WWE official by Adam Pearce. She still remains an in-ring performer, however. Editor’s Opinion: YES! Alexa Bliss has always been one of my favorite performers in the com..

Injured Monday Night Raw Star Offers Positive Update

It would be nice to have him back. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler as you do not know how long they are going to be on the shelf. What seems like something that is only going to keep them out of action for a short time could take months if things are more serious than they seem. That was the case with a Monday Night Raw star, but now we might have an idea of when he could be back. Monday Night Raw star MVP was a guest on the most recent edition of Wrestling With Freddie and mentioned that he is working to rehab his injured knee. MVP has was injured during a tag match in September 2021, suffering a torn meniscus. The tear has since healed but MVP has been had to work to regain the atrophied muscles. There is no word on when MVP will be returning to the ring or WWE television. Opinion: This is always good to hear as MVP is one of the better all around performers on Monday Night Raw. He is excellent as Bobby Lashley’s manager but having him get in the ..

More On Randy Orton’s New WWE Pay Per View Record

It’s a big record. Pay per views have been a thing in wrestling for the better part of forty years now and they continue to be such to this day. It’s a pretty simple idea: use the regular shows to set up the important event which is good enough to make people pay to watch (or view in this case). There have been a lot of pay per views over the years, and now there is a new king. Earlier this month, Randy Orton set a record for the most pay per view matches in WWE history with his 177th pay per view match. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has listed the top ten pay per view performers, with Kane in second at 176, all the way down to Kofi Kingston and Shawn Michaels tied in 10th at 117. In addition, AJ Styles holds the all time record across all promotions is AJ Styles with 289. However, Styles wrestled in NWA-TNA which held weekly pay per views in its early years. 1. Randy Orton – 177 2. Kane – 176 3. The Undertaker – 174 4. Triple H – 173 5. John Cena – 163 6. Chris Jericho – 144 7. ..

VIDEO: Fan Attacks Seth Rollins During Monday Night Raw, Arrested

Uh….security? Some wrestlers are in a tough spot at times as their job is to make the fans hate them. The goal of a villain in wrestling is to get the fans so riled up that they are willing to spend their time and potentially money to see someone beat them up. That is hard to do, but when it works, it works very well. This time though, it might have worked too well. This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins attacked Finn Balor, including giving him the Stomp onto the ring steps. Following the attack, Rollins began walking back up to the stage when a fan jumped the barricade and tackled him. The camera immediately cut away and the attack was not mentioned. In a video that has been released on Twitter, Rollins tried to get the fan in a front facelock until referees and security took the fan away. After the show was over, WWE issued a statement to PWInsider.com, saying: “WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned ove..

WATCH: Becky Lynch’s Very Emotional Interview After WWE Survivor Series

Can you blame her? Wrestlers are ultimately performers in a way, but there are still very real people in the ring. Those people are going to have emotions of their own, some of which can be related to the wrestling business. Sometimes you will see someone let some of that emotion out and it can be rather interesting to watch. That was the case again this weekend. One of the major feuds coming into this year’s Survivor Series was between Becky Lynch and Charlotte. The two were previously friends but various issues have driven them apart. Lynch defeated Charlotte in the show’s opening match but she was not done for the night. WWE has released an interview with Lynch from after the match, where she talks about how emotional she got getting ready for the match and where they are now. Lynch was in tears during the promo and talked about how close the two were while they despise each other now. It was an emotional night. Check out the promo, the match, and how we got here: [This post cont..

Eva Marie Is Missing From WWE For A Special Reason

That’s your explanation. Wrestlers are some of the more versatile performers that you will see in any form of entertainment. In addition to all of the athleticism that comes to wrestling a match, wrestlers have to make fans believe in what they are presenting. That is rather complicated and hard to pull off, and it would make sense to have wrestlers get attention for their efforts. Now it seems to be paying off for a wrestler as a result. Back on the September 27 edition of Monday Night Raw, Shayna Baszler attacked Eva Marie, stomping her arm on the ring steps. Eva Marie has not been seen since, and there is no word on when she will be back on WWE television. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Eva Marie is off filming a movie and the injury was used to write her off of television. This is also why she was not drafted to either show during the WWE Draft. Eva Marie certainly has a place in WWE. Check out the beatdown, plus some of her better time in the company: [This pos..

RUMOR: More Details On 2021 WWE Draft

We need to shake things up. There are so many wrestlers and performers of various types in WWE that sometimes you want to see how things would go if it was mixed up a bit. It doesn’t help when you have Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT as separate brands, but every now and then you get to see things mixed up a little bit. Now we know more about it happening again. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, the 2021 WWE Draft will be held on the August 30 Monday Night Raw and September 3 SmackDown. There are currently plans for some big names to be moved around and WWE is hoping to make the Draft feel like a bigger deal than in previous years. There is no word on who will be moving where or how many names will be changed. The WWE Draft is taking place on Aug 23rd & Aug 27th. Im seeing a few reports that WWE doesn't have set plans for after the draft. I can tell you that report isn't totally accurate. WWE has big plans for some who will be switchin..

VIDEO: R-Truth Joins A Viral TikTok Challenge

His other talents. Wrestlers are incredible performers as they have to mix together athleticism, action, drama and occasionally comedy, romance, intrigue and more, all in front of a live crowd. That is a heck of a trick to pull off and it should be praised even more than it already is. Every now and then you find someone who is even more talented than most and that is the case with a current WWE star. R-Truth has been in wrestling for a long time now but he also has another passion which may be even bigger. For more than twenty years, R-Truth has also maintained a music career, which includes him performing his own entrance music. His music career has been around for a very long time with R-Truth often releasing various songs and music videos. That is the case again, but in a bit of a different way. This is a different one. Check out what R-Truth has gotten into this time: https://media.wrestlingrumors.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/18224537/R-Truth-Dreams.mp4 In a new video posted ..

How Are WWE And AEW Testing For COVID-19?

The more you know. The COVID-19 pandemic has been at the forefront of world culture for the past 6 months, and almost every industry has been affected by its devastation. However, professional wrestling has found a way to remain on the air, using testing to providing a safe working environment for all of their performers, staff, and production team. But how have they done it? According to a report from Wrestling Inc., both WWE and AEW are doing weekly COVID-19 tests to all performers, to ensure that it is safe for them to be in a wrestling ring each night. Furthermore, the fact that all performers have been tested has led to the relaxed nature of mask-wearing by the talent for both companies. Here is how each company is handling its testing procedures: WWE: All talents are instructed to show up to a parking garage the day before tapings. Talents stay in their cars and are given a nasal swab test. The talent then leave and are sent a text, or other message, later that night letting..
