For Real: NXT Star Written Off Television Due To Legitimate Injury

One way to do it. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as they can put someone out of action for any length of time. There are all kinds of injuries, but there are also various ways to write someone off television with those injuries. We saw a bit of a unique one earlier this week as an NXT star was taken off television, but things might not have been what they seemed. Wendy Choo was written off NXT TV earlier this week, having been attacked in the parking lot. There is no word on who attacked Choo or how long she is expected to be out of action. According to F4WOnline.com, Choo is out of action with a legitimate injury, though she is not expected to be out of action for very long. Choo last wrestled on the February 16 edition of Main Event. This is the second time that NXT has used a parking lot attack this year to explain a legitimate injury, after Nikkita Lyons was attacked as well. Choo is a unique star when she is around. Such an injury can explain a lot of absences and now we know about another such injury that is preventing an expected return. During a virtual signing with Golden Ring Collectibles, Ariane Andre, formerly known as Cameron and Naomi’s former tag partner, revealed that Naomi is recovering from shoulder surgery. Announcing that a wrestler is hurt can take a story in several ways, including the option of someone specific causing the injury. That is a favorite in NXT and now we have seen it again, with another wrestler being attacked. Katana Chance announced that Choo had been found in the parking lot, where she was seen holding her arm. There is no word on whether Choo will miss time, or when she will be back if she does. This comes about a month after Nikkita Lyons was attacked in the parking lot, after which she announced that she had torn her ACL and would be out of action for roughly a year. There is one thing though that we need to cover, which involves who gets to talk first in a live edition of Busted Open Radio. That’s a very long time. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as you never want to see someone put on the shelf. Unfortunately, no matter how much talent, experience or training that a wrestler can have, there is always the chance that something is going to go wrong. That was the case a few weeks back and now we know just how bad things are. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A New Direction: WWE Plans Surprise Title Change At WrestleMania 39 (POSSIBLE SPOILERS) Back in January, Nikkita Lyons was attacked in the NXT parking lot. Shortly thereafter, Lyons announced that she had suffered a torn ACL and had undergone surgery to repair the injury. That was the case this week, when a wrestler returned after a two month hiatus to set up a showdown. After the match, Keith Lee made his return to save Rhodes and end the show. This was the first time that Lee had appeared since December, when Strickland and Mogul Affiliates had crushed a cinder block over Lee’s chest.
