The New Generation: Former WWE Superstar Reveals Scrapped Plans For New League Of Nations

They had an idea. Stables are a concept that has worked in wrestling for decades and continues to do so to this day. It makes a lot of sense as well, as a stable allows several people with anywhere from identical to even somewhat related goals a chance to be on television together. WWE has used them for years, but there was one reincarnation that they passed on instead. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: VIDEO: Kurt Angle’s Huge Birthday Celebration Continues After SmackDown Ends Back in 2015, a group of international stars joined forces as the League Of Nations. The team, comprised of Wade Barrett, Rusev, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio, were a force in WWE until April 2016 when they split up for good. During an appearance on the 10 Count podcast, former WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley revealed that WWE had considered relaunching the League Of Nations with Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and himself. Rawley did not say when this would have taken place or how far along the plans went. Rawley’s role in the group..

WATCH: Bianca Belair Has Her Eye On Very Specific Film Role

She has goals. Wrestling and acting are often seen as going hand in hand despite only having a little bit to do with each other. However, there are some wrestlers who fit in rather nicely in the acting world and become quite the successes. Every wrestler turned actor has to start somewhere though and now a prominent wrestler has her eyes set on what would be a pretty big role. In a new interview with Comicbook.com, Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair said she hopes to move into Hollywood and land the role as Storm in an X-Men movie. This is not the first time that Belair has said this, as she previously mentioned wanting the role in 2022. At the moment, there is nothing to suggest that Marvel is considering Belair for the role, or that Storm will be portrayed in a movie anytime soon. There is a lot here. Fuego Del Sol Buys His Own Wrestling Ring to Train for Bigger AEW Matches

As people outside of the big promotions like AEW, we often forget that we see these performers for maybe 30 mins of television time per week, which could be much less for underutilized talents. If you compare this to the standard 40 hour work week, we’re seeing so little of what actually goes into becoming a star in the wrestling business. For instance, Fuego Del Sol has been training extensively despite limited appearances on AEW programming over the course of 2022. He took to Twitter on Thursday to share his progress and goals into improving his craft as well as being prepared for any future opportunities. I bought a wrestling ring to take my in ring training to another level. Developed a new gym discipline. Working out 6 days a week and already see a difference in my body! Wrestling on the indies more so I stay ring ready and prepared for bigger AEW matches. Confidence way up! https://t.co/3rt9qzaiMn — Fuego Del Sol (@FuegoDelSol) November 17, 2022 During an exchange on Twit..

Liv Morgan: “I’d Love To Main Event WrestleMania”

WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan was recently interviewed by Bleacher Report where she discussed a number of topics. Among them were winning the championship, the turning point in her career, and her future goals, including being in the main event of WrestleMania. Below are some highlights from the interview: On winning the Smackdown Women’s Championship: “That whole day was make or break for me,” she said. “I felt professionally in that moment that if I don’t do this for my fans, I dropped the ball. That’s how I was feeling, so I took it very seriously and felt I had no choice but to win. Heading into the match, I was thinking, ‘OK,’ but as soon as I walked through and heard the crowd, it struck a chord with me for some reason and thought, ‘They want me to win this so bad.’ “It made me emotional. In that moment, I said, ‘I’m doing it. There’s no way I’m leaving this match without that briefcase in my hands.’ It was a very overwhelming feeling where I was trying to compose..

Familiar Bunch: Several Former WWE Stars Appearing For Debuting Promotion

Call it a reunion? There are a lot of wrestlers in the world today and it can be difficult for all of them to find a place to go. While WWE and AEW are often the goals for several wrestlers, there is not room for all of them there. That is where the independent promotions come in though and that is the case again, with several former WWE stars finding a new home. The new Wrestling Entertainment Series promotion has announced its debut card, which will take place on June 4 in at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England. The show will feature four title matches and several former names from WWE. Wrestling Entertainment Series is owned by former Raw Tag Team Champions the Authors of Pain, who will be wrestling on the show under the name Legion Of Pain. Another Backstage Name Leaves WWE After WrestleMania

They’ll need a replacement. There are a lot of people who work together to make a WWE show work. While the wrestlers are the most obvious, they are also going to need some help getting things set up in the first place. That can be easier said than done but WWE has an experienced staff of people backstage helping. However, that staff is now going to be one person short. According to PWInsider.com, WWE producer Pat Buck has finished up with the company after WrestleMania 38. Buck helped produce Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte and Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, which was enough for him to feel that he has accomplished his goals. He is also leaving to spend more time with his family and working at his Create-A-Pro wrestling school and WrestlePro promotion. Opinion: This is something that happens a lot as you see the lineup of producers changing at a somewhat regular rate. At the end of the day, being a WWE producer is not the easiest job in the world as there are a lot of peop..

Eddie Kingston: An Imperfect Hero For An Imperfect World

No matter how they tell the story of professional wrestling, it is always the same. Good vs. evil; babyface vs. heel. The fans cheer for their favorite hero to finally overcome the bully that stands in their way of achieving their goals. However, outside the obstacles the heels may place, they do not seem to have many problems in their life. They smile, laugh, and have a good time. Maybe they have a family and are portrayed to have it all together. While fans do enjoy these characters, the ones they have always naturally gotten behind are the ones that seem the most real. Stone Cold Steve Austin became the biggest star in professional wrestling solely due to the fact the Everyday Man could see themselves in Austin. Everyone has had horrible bosses they wish they could give it back to. Daniel Bryan (now, Bryan Danielson in AEW) was relatable because every person in some sort of fashion has felt like they have been held down and told they aren’t what companies or people are looking f..

WWE’s Ambitious Plans For Gable Steveson

We’ll call those lofty goals. It is rare to see someone who comes off like a true prodigy in wrestling. When you do find one though, it can make for a very special situation because you see them flying up the charts in the blink of an eye. There have not been very many of them over the years and now WWE might have another one on their hands. It turns out they have some big plans for him too. During this year’s WWE Draft, Gable Steveson was drafted to Monday Night Raw despite not yet wrestling a professional match. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE plans to have Steveson become a regular after college wrestling season ends in March. The current plan is to have Steveson make his in-ring debut at WrestleMania. There is no word on when he will be making his first appearance on WWE TV. Steveson could be a star. Monday Night Raw Date: July 26, 2021 Location: T-Mobile Center, Kansas City, Missouri Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves It’s time to find out how bad Raw can get this week, which tends to be the new low every week. We are less than a month away from Summerslam and it’s time to build things up. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of last week’s Women’s Title match and Nikki Ash cashing in Money in the Bank to win the title. Here is Nikki Ash to get things going. Nikki has worked to get here and once she finally started believing in herself, she accomplished her goals. If she can do it, everyone can do it and we can all be almost superheroes. Cue Charlotte to talk about how last week wasn’t fair and she is getting her rem..

WWE Moving Mainstream, Hopes To Be Like Marvel And DC (Big Changes)

That’s very different. As you have probably been able to tell, the WWE has been undergoing quite the shakeup in recent memory. A lot of this has been due to the arrival of new company President Nick Khan, who has negotiated a series of lucrative deals for the company. These things have been rather successful so far and that is going to get Khan more good will. It turns out that he is going to be getting quite a few more responsibilities. According to PWInsider.com, Khan is being given even more authority and goals in the company. The idea is to move WWE into more of a mainstream property in the same vein as Marvel or DC Comics. This could include various crossover appeal with wrestlers and characters. There is no word on how this will go or how Khan plans to make these transitions work. Khan was formerly with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), one of the biggest and more important talent agencies in the world. As a result, Khan is able to bring in a variety of people he has worked with b..

VIDEO: R-Truth And Brock Lesnar’s Excellent Adventure

He made it work. There are very few wrestlers who have been able to defy the laws of time like R-Truth. He started in the WWF all the way back in 1999 and came back after a lengthy hiatus, only to reach some incredible heights all over again. He has since moved on to become one of the more popular comedy wrestlers in WWE and those comedy skills were on display in a lucrative way earlier this year. R-Truth has gone from a serious wrestler to someone who is not always exactly on top of everything and is often confused. This has been a big part of his dominance of the 24/7 Title but he has also had some higher goals in mind. One such goal was winning the Royal Rumble, but Brock Lesnar entering the match had R-Truth a bit scared. The moment also had Lesnar in stitches of laughter, and that was worth something to someone. In a new interview with TalkSport, R-Truth spoke about his in-ring segment with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar from January of this year. R-Truth says there was a bet betw..

Vince McMahon’s XFL Revival Already Has Some Early Competition

Vince McMahon only recently revealed the revival of the XFL but it seems that alongside the pre-existing NFL, McMahon may have new competition and he is very familiar with the man responsible for it. The name behind this competition is Charlie Ebersol, someone very familiar to McMahon. Ebersol’s father Dick was a longtime NBC executive and actually helped McMahon launch the original XFL years ago, with Ebersol himself directing the recent ESPN 30 for 30 documentary on the failed launch of the original XFL. Today, Ebersol has announced the formation of the Alliance of American Football. According to WrestlingInc, Ebersol plans to launch the AAF on CBS on February 9, 2019 which is set to follow the NFL’s Super Bowl. This is much sooner than the XFL, which is set to begin in early 2020. Dick will serve on a board of directors alongside former NFL stars Hines Ward, Justin Tuck, and Jared Allen. Their goals are similar to that of the XFL, with good seats supposedly costing around $35. E..

Bischoff is joined on today’s show by his co-host Nick Hausman.

A listener calls into the show and asks Bischoff where the line is in terms of what is too controversial for the wrestling business. Bischoff says that he always drew the line at anything involving race or religion. He admits that while you’re caught up in a ratings war it’s very easy to do anything imaginable to create controversy, but we must always remember that there is a line we must not cross.

Another listener asks Bischoff what he thinks about GFW’s current product, and if he thinks the company can ever turn the corner. He says that he doesn’t watch GFW, so he doesn’t have an opinion on the current product. In terms of if they can turn the corner, Bischoff says it’s hard to know unless you’re involved in the company and you understand what their goals are moving forward.

He points out that GFW are in a tough spot right now because their only revenue source is through their international television licensing. Bischoff says if they lose their deal with PopTV and therefore their presence on U.S. television, their demand overseas drops dramatically and that could become very problematic.

He made the following remarks regarding the topic:

“To make our entrance through the crowd, it would take a common goal and that’s been the big difference I think, you know. In the last few years is that we’ve all got our individual goals and individual things going on so it would take something pretty massive to take us all away from that and get us back on the same page.
