Again? WWE Hall Of Fame Teases Coming Out Of Retirement

One more time? Retirement is a difficult concept for a lot of wrestlers as they can have trouble walking away for good. While several wrestlers will says they are done for good, they often have the chance to come back for one more match. That can make for some interesting circumstances as you get to see someone make a surprise return. Now a WWE legend is teasing the possibility. Rampage Date: February 10, 2023 Location: County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We are still in Texas with less than a month to go before Revolution. That should make for a few interesting weeks but this week’s lineup doesn’t exactly offer much in the way of hope. The Blackpool Combat Club is here though and that is one of the better things Rampage could do. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Blackpool Combat Club vs. Butcher and the Blade/Kip Sabian Sabian drives Yuta into the corner to start but a sunset flip gets Yuta out of trouble. Yuta is sent outside and Castagnoli comes in, with Butcher getting to come in as well for the power staredown. They yell at each other and slug it out, with both of them staggering. Moxley and then Yuta come in to take turns on Butcher as Jericho talks about the Impractical Jokers cast stealing his baseball bat. Dynamite Date: February 8, 2023 Location: County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz It’s a title themed show this week as we have two title matches plus a pair of eliminator matches. That should be enough to make for a good night as AEW tends to treat its titles seriously. The build towards Revolution continues and we should be getting some more added to the card. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Maxwell Jacob Friedman vs. Konosuke Takeshita Non-title. MJF’s offer of a handshake is brushed off to start so Takeshita hammers down some right hands in the corner. A knee is blocked and MJF sends him into the corner to take over. We hit the armbar, followed by a hammerlock DDT for two on Takeshita. Back up and Takeshita hits a quick brainbuster for two and a frog splash gets the same. Takeshita traps the legs and hits a Tombstone, followed by a wheelbarrow suplex to send MJF outside. MJF gets in a shot of his own and takes it back inside, with Takeshi..

That could have been horrible. There are all kinds of people in the wrestling industry but at the same time they all have to deal with the same kind of things that non-wrestling people do as well. Some of those things can be terrible and incredibly difficult to face, including all kinds of tragedies. That is the case with one wrestling legend and some of his comments scared his fans so much that police got involved. Earlier this week on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash spoke about his son passing away twelve weeks ago. This included Nash talking about how “time flies when you got a gun in your mouth” and how he can do “whatever the f*** I wanna do. Long as I leave a note.” According to TMZ, this caused the Volusia County Sheriff’s office to do a wellness check on Nash. The office said that Nash seemed to be ok. Cain Velasquez Pleads Not Guilty to Attempted Murder Charge

It had been previously reported that former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar Cain Velasquez had been arrested on charges of attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty to these charges in Santa Clara (California) County earlier today. From ESPN: Velasquez, 40, is being charged with attempted murder and 10 other gun-related charges stemming from an incident where he allegedly chased down a man, Harry Goularte — who is being charged with molesting a young relative of Velasquez — and shooting a gun into Goularte’s vehicle, hitting Goularte’s stepfather, Paul Bender. Velasquez has been in jail since Feb. 28 and has been denied bail on three separate occasions. A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 26, where Geragos is expecting to be able to get witnesses to testify, the attorney said. If the case is not dismissed at that point, he said, it would then go to trial, which could begin before the end of the year. Geragos said the prosecution will not be calling Goula..

Jeff Hardy Suspended From AEW Without Pay

It had been previously reported that Jeff Hardy was recently arrested in Volusia County, Florida, on charges of driving on a suspended license, violating restrictions placed on a driver’s license, and driving under the influence. Tony Khan has released the following statement regarding Hardy’s status with AEW: “We were able to resume contact with Jeff Hardy this afternoon. AEW does not condone Jeff’s alleged behavior. We’ve made it clear to Jeff that we’ll assist him in getting treatment for substance abuse issues, which he has indicated that he’s open to receiving. Jeff Hardy Arrested, Facing Charges Of Driving Under The Influence And More

That’s always sad to see. There are a lot of people in the wrestling business and some of them have some issues that take place outside of the ring. Unfortunately some of these are rather serious, including problems that can put the wrestlers and others in danger. That seems to be the case again, as a wrestler with a long history of issues has had another serious problem. As announced by the Volusia County, Florida police department, AEW’s Jeff Hardy has been arrested and faces a number of charges. This includes driving on a suspended license, violating restrictions placed on a driver’s license and driving under the influence, with the latter being the third such charge that Hardy has faced in three years. WWE Hall Of Famer Arrested, Facing 30 Years In Prison

That is not a good way to go. There are a lot of names that have come up throughout the history of wrestling and some of them are rather famous. Unfortunately, some of them are more infamous than famous, often for things that are not exactly positive. That is the case with a certain WWE Hall of Famer and now things have gotten a lot worse than they were just a few months ago. Back in March, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch was involved in a car accident that killed a man in Ormond Beach, Florida. According to PWInsider.com, Sytch has been arrested and is facing nine charges, including DUI Manslaughter, driving with a suspended or revoked license and seven counts of DUI causing damage to a person or property. The DUI Manslaughter charge carries a potential thirty year prison sentence with a four year minimum and up to $10,000 in fines. That’s a special honor. There are a lot of titles to be won in wrestling but at some point, almost every wrestler is going to lose their championship. It isn’t something fun for them to do, but it has to happen at some point. Cain Velasquez Arrested On Attempted Murder Charges

According to a report from ESPN, former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar Cain Velasquez has been arrested on charges of attempted murder. He is currently being held in Santa Clara (California) County jail, the San Jose Police Department announced Tuesday morning. There he goes. WWE has a lot of wrestlers on its roster, to the point where it can be difficult to keep track of all of them. Sometimes a wrestler will disappear for a long time with little explanation and it can be easy to forget that they are around in the first place. That seems to be the case with a WWE star, but now we have an update on where they are currently located. Monday Night Raw’s Finn Balor has posted an image to his Instagram, showing he and his wife in his hometown of Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. WWE Closing Yet Another Office As Changes Continue

Another change. There have been a lot of moves made in WE as of late, with several of them being behind the scenes. WWE has let a bunch of backstage employees go while also consolidating several of their departments together. It is not clear why things have been changed so dramatically, but now it seems that something else has been changed outside of their main office. According to Periodico Correo, WWE has closed its office in Mexico, with no reason given, though the ten plus employees working at the office knew about the closure in advance. This comes after WWE closed its offices in Japan and England earlier this year. WWE has not run an event in Mexico since 2019 but they plan to return to the county in the future now that the Coronavirus travel restrictions are being lifted. It’s an unfortunate mistake. Wrestlers are a unique group of people as they are TV stars who are supposed to make you believe that they are larger than life characters who are being their real selves. That is one heck of a trick to pull off, but ultimately they are still people once the cameras stop rolling. That means they are going to make mistakes, which was the case with a former wrestling star. PWInsider.com is reporting that former Impact Wrestling and WWE star Chris Harris was arrested in Kenton County, Kentucky on October 5for driving under the influence and being unable to provide proof of insurance. Harris spent about thirteen hours in jail before being released on a $2,500 bond, with a court date set for November 2. Special Match Takes Place After SmackDown Ends

The feel good moment. There are a lot of different ways to present a wrestling show but one of the easiest is to showcase the most popular wrestlers around. There will be a core group of wrestlers on the roster who are liked above the rest, but sometimes a different wrestler stands out. This can often be the case in their hometown, which was the case for a special moment this week. This week’s edition of SmackDown took place in Bianca Belair’s hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. Knox County Mayor Kane made a special appearance to give Belair the key to the county and Belair’s family was in attendance, but Becky Lynch appeared and attacked Belair to end the show. However, Belair faced and defeated Lynch after the show ended in the night’s non-title dark match. The two are slated to face each other in a title match at Extreme Rules. Here’s What Happened After AEW Double Or Nothing

We aren’t done yet. This weekend saw one of the biggest non-WWE pay per views of the year with AEW’s Double Or Nothing. The show featured nine matches, capped off by the huge Stadium Stampede main event. The match saw the Inner Circle survive over the Pinnacle, but it turns out that the night was not over yet. Something else happened later and it was quite nice. According to PWInsider.com, after Double Or Nothing went off the air, Chris Jericho thanked the fans for their “AEW” chants and for everyone who helped make Stadium Stampede a success two years in a row. Jericho also thanked the city of Jacksonville, which prompted a “DUVAL” chant, after the county Jacksonville is located in. Sammy Guevara and Jericho thanked the fans for selling out the event to end the night. The main event was a heck of a battle.
