That would be a change. Titles have been a gigantic part of WWE since the company was founded. There are several titles in the company and some of them are among the most prestigious in all of wrestling. It means something for a wrestler to hold one of them, but now there are some wrestlers who are holding two at a time. That might be changing sooner rather than later. That’s a lot of money. We are in the middle of one of the most important periods in the history of WWE, as the company may be sold at some point in the near future. That is going to shake things up in WWE in a huge way, likely including when it comes to their television deals. WWE’s television deals are set to expire next year, and it seems one of them is not doing so well. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Things Change: What Might Happen To Vince McMahon If WWE Is Sold According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a Morgan Stanley study found that FOX is losing over $100 million a year by airing SmackDown under the current deal with WWE. In the 2020-21 television season, FOX paid $196.7 million for SmackDown and reported losses of $134 million. In 2021-22, those numbers increased to $208.5 million paid and $145 million in losses. Double Threat: New United States Title Grudge Match Set For WWE Survivor Series

All at once. There are several ways to present a title match as there are often multiple people who want to be champion. That can make for some interesting possibilities as you don’t know what you might be seeing in any given title defense. Sometimes the best solution is to put multiple challengers into the same title shot, which is what we will be seeing later this week. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Nine In, One Out: Update On WWE’s Plans For Survivor Series (Contains Likely Spoilers) Over the last several weeks, Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory have been chasing Seth Rollins and the United States Title. And NEW! Former WWE Star Wins First World Title

He who hath the gold. Titles have been the focal point of wrestling since the sport began, as wrestlers want to be seen as the best. The easiest way to be recognized as such is to hold a big shiny belt after beating the former champion. There have been a lot of titles throughout wrestling’s history and now one of the most famous, as well as important, has changed hands. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WWE’s Scarlett Reportedly Involved In Incident With Fan At Live Event This weekend at NWA Hard Times 3, Tyrus, formerly known as Brodus Clay in WWE, defeated Matt Cardona and reigning NWA World Champion Trevor Murdoch in the main event to win the title. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE’s Weird Plan For Roman Reigns To Lose World Title

That would have been different. Roman Reigns has dominated the WWE landscape for more than two years now and there is nothing to suggest that he is going to be falling from the top anytime soon. WWE has built Reigns up into an all time star and it is not clear who can take one or both World Titles from him. It seems WWE might have had a plan to have him drop one in a bit of a messy way. According to WrestleVotes during an interview with Give Me Sport, WWE had considered a plan to have Reigns lose one of the World Titles to Drew McIntyre at Clash At The Castle in September. The idea would have been to have Austin Theory cash in Money In The Bank for only one of the two titles, turning the match into a triple threat. Then Tyson Fury would have knocked Theory out as he did and McIntyre would have won one of the titles. There is no word on why WWE decided to not run with the idea. The match was a huge battle. Check out how things went down: [This post contains video, click to play] [T..

Money In The Bank Briefcase Cashed In On Monday Night Raw In Brand New Way

There it goes. WWE offers several annual traditions, many of which involve championships and shots at them. There are ways to earn a guaranteed title shot at some point down the line, but there is one that lets the challenger choose their shot whenever the feel like it. That was the case this week, but it was in a completely different way than it has ever been done before. This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins issued an open challenge for a shot at the United States Title. Before the match, Bobby Lashley came to the ring and attacked Rollins, putting him through the announcers’ table. Mr. Money In The Bank Austin Theory came to the ring and cashed in his briefcase for a title shot against Rollins. Theory went on to lose the title shot after Lashley interfered. This marked the first time the briefcase has ever been used for anything but a World Title shot. Opinion: It was very different, but I like the idea a lot. There was little reason to believe that Theory was going to win t..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Possible Unique Plans For Austin Theory’s Money In The Bank Cash-In

That would be a first. WWE has been around for a rather long time now and they have some traditional shows and events that take place every year. Some of these have long term implications for the top storylines in the company and it can mean a lot for someone to be part of one of them. That was the case earlier this year, and it might still be the case for a large part of next year. Back on July 2, Austin Theory won the men’s Money in the Bank contract, guaranteeing him a World Title shot at any point he chose over the next calendar year. Theory has still yet to cash in, though he has teased doing so on several occasions. According to WrestleVotes via GiveMeSport, WWE is considering having Theory wait one year to cash in. The contract would still be active on the final day Theory can cash it in and his time would be down to minutes. There is no word on if the cash-in would be successful or not. Opinion: This is a different way to go for the briefcase and that is something that could ..

AEW Dynamite Results – October 26, 2022

Dynamite Date: October 26, 2022 Location: Chartway Arena, Norfolk, Virginia Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone We’re well on our way to Full Gear and now it seems that we have a World Title main event. Last week saw MJF announce that he will be cashing in his chip at Full Gear, though the question is who he will be challenging. This week, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will be defending against Penta El Cero Miedo. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Chris Jericho/Daniel Garcia vs. Wheeler Yuta/Claudio Castagnoli The rest of the Jericho Appreciation Society is here too. Castagnoli takes Jericho down to start before handing it off to Yuta to armbar Garcia. Everything breaks down for a bit and it’s Garcia being sent into the post on the floor. A Hager distraction lets Jericho get in a cheap shot to Castagnoli though and we take a break. Back with Castagnoli fighting out of a chinlock but Jericho knocks Yuta off the apron. Castagnoli knocks Jericho away and brings in Yuta as e..

Seth Rollins Takes Shot At Fellow WWE Star, Gets Very Harsh Response

It’s not a happy response. There are a lot of people on the WWE roster and a lot of them are not able to get the amount of television time that they would like. With so many wrestlers on the roster, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. At some point, a wrestler is going to snap and that took place again this week, after some WWE commentary did not sit well. This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins did guest commentary on a match between Mustafa Ali and Mr. Money In The Bank Austin Theory. Rollins said that Theory had a better chance of cashing in on Dana Brooke than Rollins, should he win the WWE Universal Title. Brooke responded on Twitter, saying she works hard and “will not take this s*** anymore.” She talked about working through injuries and could fit any position. Brooke has not wrestled on Monday Night Raw since August 15. Talk is CHEAP!! I work my ass off every single day & will not tolerate this shit anymore! I can promise you I am the hardest working..

Impact Wrestling Results – October 20, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: October 20, 2022 Location: Albany Armory, Albany, New York Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan We’re still coming out of Bound For Glory and that means it is time to start getting ready for whatever the next monthly special is going to be. In this case, that means Frankie Kazarian is going to cash in his X-Division Title for a World Title shot against Josh Alexander. That is likely going to mean some competition for the vacant title and it might start tonight. Let’s get to it. Opening recap. The Bullet Club goes to see Ace Austin but find him down in the parking lot. Tommy Dreamer is here but denies everything. Opening sequence. Tommy Dreamer/Bully Ray vs. Bullet Club It’s Chris Bey/Juice Robinson here, with Robinson putting on his wrist tape on the way to the ring (as he is replacing Austin). Dreamer sends Bey to the apron to start but it’s quickly off to Robinson to stomp Ray down in the corner. Some rapid fire chops in the corner have Robinson in..

Main Event Officially Set For AEW Full Gear After Huge Challenge

They’re on top of it. Titles are the most important things in wrestling as they are such an easy concept. Fans are going to understand what they are seeing as soon as they see a wrestler holding a championship and winning one can make all the difference in the world. Now we have a major title match set for a huge show, which was set up in advance this week. This week on AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman teased cashing in his Casino ladder match poker chip for a World Title shot against Jon Moxley. However, Friedman changed his mind, saying that he wanted to cash in at Full Gear to do it the right way. The match is official for Full Gear, which airs on November 19. The two have met once before, with Moxley defeating Friedman to retain the World Title at All Out 2020. Opinion: I don’t think the match taking place is much of a surprise but it is nice to have it made official. We are still almost a month away from Full Gear and now the two can set up their match as well as they possib..

WATCH: WWE Teases Huge Money In The Bank Twist

That would be a different way to go. There are a lot of different concepts that WWE presents on a regular basis, some of which have major championship implications. It can mean something big is taking place when one of them is mentioned and sometimes these things are announced in advance. Now we have gotten a big clue about something going in a different way. The closing segment of this week’s NXT featured a three way discussion between the competitors in the Halloween Havoc triple threat match for the NXT Title. At the end of the show, Mr. Money In The Bank Austin Theory, from Monday Night Raw, appeared and suggested that he could cash in his contract for the NXT Title. Theory has held the briefcase since July 2 when he won the Money In The Bank briefcase. This could make things interesting. Check out the big tease: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: In a way, this might be the best thing that could happen to Theory and his briefcase. It has been a long time since..

WWE Reportedly Sends Feelers To Several AEW Stars

That might be a bit much. The rise of AEW has seen wrestlers being offered another place to apply their trade at a top level. The company is offering a top stage that has not been available outside of WWE in a very long time. Several wrestlers, including some who had previously worked in WWE, are now getting a new place to go, but it seems that WWE wants some of them back. According to Fightful Select, WWE sent out feelers to FTR (Cash Wheeler/Dax Harwood) and Swerve Strickland about potentially returning to WWE. There is no word on when this would be possible due to their AEW contracts or if any of them are interested in a potential jump. This comes after reports that WWE has reached out to Malakai Black, who recently departed AEW in some fashion. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you are going to hear more about going forward as the companies fight for talent. While the contract situations are going to make things more and more complicated, the fact that the promotions are ev..

KB’s Review: Who Else Do They Have

As you might have heard, Summerslam is this coming Saturday and that means it is time for….well a bunch of stuff we have seen before. If there was a theme to this year’s show, it would be Summerslam: Rematch Edition, and that isn’t the most exciting way to go. There isn’t much on the card that has me inspired to see where things go, and that is rather disappointing. At the same time though, it is rather unsurprising and that is what we are going to look at this week. Summerslam has eight matches on the card and the majority of the card is comprised of rematches. The show has two rematches from Money In The Bank (Usos vs. Street Profits, Bobby Lashley vs. Theory, and Ronda Rousey vs. Liv Morgan, though the latter has an asterisk due to the cash in), one from this week’s Monday Night Raw (Mysterios vs. Judgment Day) and two from WrestleMania 38 (Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair). That’s at least half (or more) of the card is made up of matches that we hav..
