WATCH: Montez Ford And Bianca Belair Represent WWE At NFL Playoff Game

It’s part of the job. Despite its problems, WWE is still the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world. The company is active in several countries, but the majority of its work is done in the United States. It makes sense for the company to want to be associated with some of the biggest sporting events in the country and they tried to do so again this week. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Again: WWE Reportedly Makes More Office Cuts This Week Monday Night Raw stars Montez Ford and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair appeared on NBC’s pre-game coverage of the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Kansas City Chiefs NFL playoff game. Ford talked about the energy being the same as you find at a WWE event and Belair talked about the high stakes. Both picked the Chiefs to win, which would wind up being correct. It was a cool moment. Check out part of their appearance and the two of them in their more familiar location: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, clic..

One More Time: Special Reunion Takes Place At NXT Live Event

For one night only. There are several different ways to present a wresting story and some of the most interesting ones involve personal issues. That can go in a variety of ways as well, with the relationships involved being positive or negative. It can be interesting to see what a promotion comes up with and sometimes the best choice is a surprise. That was true on Friday in a special moment. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That’s Power: Interesting Note On Roman Reigns Working With Kevin Owens And Sami Zayn Earlier this year, Dexter Lumis made his return to NXT to briefly reunite with his storyline wife, Indi Hartwell. Lumis would then be arrested and return to Monday Night Raw, where he has since become a full member of the roster, while Hartwell remained in NXT. During Friday’s NXT live event in Jacksonville, Florida, Lumis made a surprise appearance, reuniting with Hartwell and defeating Javier Bernal. There is nothing to suggest that this is more than a one off appearance. In-Dex Reunio..

AEW Rampage Results – October 21, 2022

Rampage Date: October 21, 2022 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur We’re live this week and not taped after Dynamite for a change. We’re also back in the old stomping grounds of Jacksonville and the card happens to be stacked with three title matches in an hour. That should be enough to carry the show, though Rampage has a bad tendency to underwhelm. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Tag Team Titles: Acclaimed vs. Varsity Athletes The Acclaimed is defending and it’s titles vs. the SCISSOR ME trademark. The Athletes tease an early scissoring and get jumped from behind, only to send the champs outside. Back in and the Acclaimed break up some more scissoring and a powerslam plants Woods. Caster gets knocked outside, where Billy Gunn chases Tony Nese around. That’s enough for a Gunn ejection, much to Sterling’s delight. We take a break and come back with Bowens getting the tag to come in and clean house. Everything breaks do..

REVIEW: AEW Double Or Nothing 2021: It’s A Stampede

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Double Or Nothing 2021 Date: May 30, 2021 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, Excalibur We return to pay per view and that is a nice feeling to have. The card is absolutely stacked and one of the biggest that AEW has had in recent or even long term memory. Possibly the most important story here is the fact that the fans are back in full capacity, meaning it will be even more energized than usual. Let’s get to it. Buy-In Show: NWA Women’s Title: Riho vs. Serena De..

NXT Makes Very Important Announcement About Its Future

They’re back at it. Wrestling has a lot of active parts to make the whole presentation work, but the live fans are one of the most important. Fans offer feedback and allow the wrestlers to get an idea of how they are doing at the moment. It can make a lot of difference when the fans are missing, but now some wrestlers are going to get a better idea of how things are going. NXT has announced that they will be returning to live touring. This week on NXT, an announcement was made that the promotion will be holding a tour of Florida in June and July. Eight shows were announced, with more being promised in the future. Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – March 14, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: March 14, 2022 Location: VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Corey Graves, Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton We have less than three weeks to go before Wrestlemania and WWE still has a lot of work to do before the show. The big story coming out of last week was Kevin Owens challenging Steve Austin to meet him at Wrestlemania, with Austin accepting the next day. Other than that, it’s time to hear about how wrestlers have no path to the show. Let’s get to it. In Memory Of Scott Hall. We open with a look at Kevin Owens’ challenge and Austin accepting. Here is Kevin Owens, who opens with a Hey Yo. He is the happiest Canadian right now because he is going to the main event of Wrestlemania Saturday night. Owens used his superior Canadian intellect to get what he wanted. This draws a USA chant, with Owens saying that everyone, including the USA, will get to see Owens take Austin out. The only can that will be opened is a can of Canadian beer ..

REVIEW: AEW Dynamite – March 17, 2021 (St. Patrick’s Day Slam): The Big Fight

Dynamite Date: March 17, 2021 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone It’s time for the next special show as we have a St. Patrick’s Day special. This time around we have the fallout from last week’s big angle with the Inner Circle being laid out by MJF and his new group. Other than that, we have a major showdown with Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. MJF and company arrived at the airport earlier today. Penta El Zero M vs. Cody Rhodes During the intros, Penta (through a translator) promises to send Cody onto an early paternity leave. Penta jumps Cody during the entrances and we starts on the floor. Some kicks to the face and leg have Cody in more trouble and they head inside. Cody screams at Penta for chopping him and hits a release gordbuster. The Sling Blade gives Penta two and a Backstabber is good for the same. Penta starts going after Cody’s bad arm but he’s fine enough to send Penta out..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – March 2, 2022

Dynamite Date: March 2, 2022 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone This is an interesting show as we have both the go home show for Revolution but Tony Khan himself is also making a major announcement. That could go a lot of different ways and I’m curious to see what he has next. Other than that, we need the final push towards Sunday and we should be in for something good. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Tony Schiavone is in the ring with Tony Khan for the big announcement. Khan talks about how far AEW has come in three years and how proud he is of everyone, including the fans. He has also been a fan of another company that started twenty years ago called Ring of Honor. That’s why he is proud to announce that as of today, he is officially the owner of Ring of Honor Wrestling. Two of the men in the first Ring of Honor main event are here in AEW and that’s our opening match. Bryan Danielson vs. Christopher Daniels Danielso..

REVIEW: AEW Revolution 2021: Uh, Boom?

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Revolution 2021 Date: March 7, 2021 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Jim Ross There is something rather pleasing about having another AEW pay per view. The company has such a great track record with these things and it should be awesome to see what they can do again. The main event is an exploding barbed wire deathmatch because….I have no idea why but it is certainly going to get them some attention. Let’s get to it. Pre-Show: Britt Baker/Rebel vs. Riho/Thund..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – December 29, 2021

Dynamite Date: December 29, 2021 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’ll wrap up another year of Dynamite with this one, in the place that hosted the show for what felt like the better part of ever. Cody Rhodes it the new TNT Champion, which hopefully is not just for the Go Big Show or Rhodes To The Top. Other than that, we also have the welcome return of Jim Ross, who has announced that he is cancer free. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jim Ross gets a big entrance for his return, which is a great thing to see. Jurassic Express/Christian Cage/Lucha Bros vs. FTR/Matt Hardy/Private Party Wheeler takes Christian into the corner for a clean break so we hit the double bicep pose. Christian works on the arm for a bit so it’s off to Harwood to trade chops with Jungle Boy in the corner. Harwood gets caught in the wrong corner and it’s Christian coming in for a kick to the face. The jump over the top into the uppercut has Ha..

WWE And AEW Have Backup Plans In Place Of Coronavirus Shutdown

They need a backup plan. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way the world works, including the wrestling industry. Things are mostly back to normal, but there are some issues that are still not quite what they once were. Now it seems that the entire ordeal is ramping up again and wrestling will need a backup plan. The good thing is that WWE and AEW seem to have that covered. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, both WWE and AEW would likely return to Florida should there be another national shutdown over the Coronavirus pandemic. Florida would not be expected to have any restrictions, meaning AEW could return to Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, while WWE could find another building to use as the Thunderdome. At the moment, there are no expectations for another shutdown to take place. It could be different. Check out the venues we could be seeing again: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to pl..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE’s Wacky Theory About Tony Khan And AEW Tickets

He’s doing what? For a very long time, one of the things that wrestling fans wanted to see more than anything else was another billionaire to come along and try their hand at going up against the WWE. It is not an easy task but it has finally happened in the form of AEW owner Tony Khan. He has certainly been a success so far, though some think he might be up to something. According Bryan Alvarez on the F4WOnline message board, there are some in WWE who believe that Khan is personally buying tickets to AEW events to beef up ticket sales. There is nothing to suggest that this has actually taken place, or where the fans who fill the paid seats came from. AEW returned to running events on the road in September after staying in Jacksonville, Florida throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. It would be a heck of a trick. Check out some of the shows the fans have paid to see: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, clic..

AEW Gets Some Very Cool Attention From The NFL

It’s a new way to go. There have been a lot of wrestling stories to pop up over the last few years, but nothing is going to top the rise of AEW. The company has gone from almost nothing to one of the biggest promotions in the world. You almost never see something like this take place and AEW has made some amazing strides in a pretty short time. Now they have done something pretty cool in another sport. The Buffalo Bills’ Stefon Diggs wore special AEW cleats during the pregame warmups of the Bills’ game vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon. The cleats were gold with the AEW logo appearing on the side. AEW President Tony Khan is also the Chief Football Strategy Office for the Jaguars and Jaguars cheerleaders have appeared on Dynamite before. It is not clear where Diggs got the cleats or if he had them specially made. With the @BuffaloBills in Jacksonville today what more fitting pair for my man @stefondiggs to rock for pregame than some @AEW cleats? pic.twitter.com/nknKhSpe..

REVIEW: WWE One Night Stand 2007: The Gimmicky One

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? One Night Stand 2007 Date: June 3, 2007 Location: Jacksonville Veterans Memorial, Jacksonville, Florida Attendance: 7,000 Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Joey Styles, Tazz, Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield It’s what almost has to be the final cycle of Wrestlemania rematches and early summer stories. The build for this has not been great, which probably has a lot to do with it being a mere two weeks after Backlash. The card isn’t looking the best either, but maybe they can surprise me. Let’s get to it. T..

AEW’s Entire Full Gear Card May Have Been Spoiled

In black and white. AEW has already become the second largest wrestling promotion in the country and they have done so while doing things a little bit differently than WWE. One of the major differences is how infrequently AEW runs pay per view events, with only one a quarter rather than one a month. That makes the existing shows all the more important, and now we might know what to expect. A photo of AEW President Tony Khan was taken at this weekend’s Jacksonville Jaguars game. In the photo, Khan is seen with a piece of paper, which seems to contain the card for Full Gear, which will be held on November 13. Currently, only one match has been announced, as Hangman Page will challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title. There are eleven matches listed, including Page vs. Omega, with Page’s name circled. Here is what is listed, which is in no way confirmed for the show: * AEW World Title: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Hangman Page * Bryan Danielson vs. Jon Moxley * MJF vs. Darby Allin * Britt Ba..

AEW Dealing With Travel Issues Between All Out And Dynamite

It can happen to anyone. AEW has gone from non-existent to one of the biggest wrestling companies in the world in less than three years. Now that things have changed a bit in the Coronavirus pandemic, AEW is able to get out of Jacksonville and tour around the United States again. That means a lot of extra work, and that was even more of the case this week. According to Wrestling Observer Live, the Young Bucks and some other AEW wrestlers had travel issues leaving Chicago after AEW All Out last Sunday night. Instead of being able to fly to the show, the wrestlers were forced to drive or take a busy five to six hours to Cincinnati, Ohio for this week’s Dynamite. This was said to be especially difficult for some of the wrestlers who were banged up from the pay per view. Everyone will be at this week’s show as scheduled. It isn’t easy in AEW. Check out some of the company’s harder hitting matches: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [T..

Smackdown Date: September 3, 2021 Location: VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves It’s a title show this week as Finn Balor gets a shot at Roman Reigns and the Universal Title.
