Watch: “Woken” Matt Hardy Consults With George Washington

Who wouldn’t want to talk to a dead president? WWE has posted a new video to their YouTube channel, in which “Woken” Matt Hardy talks to the first President of the United States, George Washington. He has, however, taken the modern form of a giraffe his Hardy’s Personal Zoo.

Hardy is seeking counsel as he prepares for “The Ultimate Deletion” this coming Monday on “Raw.”
In the video, after receiving advice from Mr. Washington, Hardy rewards him with a carrot or two. He then remarks that the giraffe loves carrots as much as the “Woken” one loves green beans.
Editor’s Opinion:
Have you had those moments in life where you simply say “you can’t make this stuff up?” This is not one of those moments. The “woken” character is so out there and so ridiculous, that it is absolutely brilliant. I cannot wait to see what WWE’s amazing video production team can do with “The Ultimate Deletion!”
Are you looking forward to “T..

Video: Top Ten Funniest Moment in Wrestlemania History

Your individual mileage may vary. Comedy is certainly a subjective topic and it’s even worse in wrestling. Some people don’t want it there at all while some people love it more than regular wrestling. Either way, it’s not something that’s going away anytime soon, and that includes at Wrestlemania.

WWE has released a new Top Ten video list of the funniest moments in Wrestlemania history. This has a nice selection of options with a combination of promos, segments and mid-match moments. It also ranges back over thirty years, with the oldest going back to the late 1980s and getting closer to modern times by the end. Opinion: These are the kind of things where you really could pick from a huge number of options. There are so many moments over the years that can be considered funny, whether intentional or not. When these things are used in moderation and not used for the sake of adding in a celebrity cameo (such as the crab guy)with Mick Foley ..

Jarek 1:20: The Power of Magic Is Alive and Thriving in Michigan Native

Never did you expect to see the finesse of magic combined with wrestling in magic to thrive as it does in Michigan native Evan Cloyd, known to wrestling fans as Jarek 1:20. We had the opportunity to interview Jarek and being fans of his work over the independent circuit, we knew we had to secure an interview with him after he participated in a recent WWE tryout, even going so far as to make it to the official WWE YouTube channel on a video where he was showcasing his magic skills.
Here is the interview:
Hey Jarek, we are glad to have you with us today. How old were you when you first started watching wrestling? What were a couple of your favorite memories or moments?
I was 8 years old when I was playing soccer in my neighbor’s backyard on a chilly Michigan day. Our other friend was wearing a bright orange ski mask, when my buddy, Corey said, “Oh you look like Rey Mysterio!” I asked who that was, they told me about wrestling – and that night Nitro and RAW were on, I turned on WCW an..

Classic Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle From “Wrestlemania XX”

Viva la mania. There are very few wrestlers who are pure naturals. They know how to talk, they know how to move in the ring and they know how to capture an audience’s imagination. If you can get two of them into the same match on the big stage, you’re in for a treat. That was the case at “Wrestlemania XX”.

WWE has posted the full version of Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero from “Wrestlemania XX” for Guerrero’s WWE Championship. The match was presented as a culture clash with Angle not wanting a former addict like Guerrero representing WWE as its champion. Guerrero promised to win and get high on the feeling of being WWE Champion. This was Guerrero’s first major feud as champion after winning the title from Brock Lesnar at “No Way Out 2004” about a month earlier. Check out a review of the full show here.
Opinion: This was a great stretch of wrestling as Guerrero was having the run of his life and having the best matches of his career. You kn..

Video: Five Shortest Matches in Wrestlemania History

Slow down for a second! Earlier this year, WWE presented the longest match in company history with a nearly two hour long gauntlet match on an episode of “Monday Night Raw”. That’s one end of the spectrum, but what about the other end? Say on the Wrestlemania stage?
It’s a short list.
[This post contains video, click to play]

WWE has released a new List This of the five fastest matches in “Wrestlemania” history. The five matches come from around the history of the show with some ranging all the way back from the early days of the show and all the way down into the newer editions. More than one of them are less than ten seconds and multiple title changes are included in the list. Opinion: These are always fun and they manage to energize the crowd every single time. They can even advance a variety of stories, mainly including the Daniel Bryan loss to Sheamus. That loss set up a lot of his rise to the top of the promotion, which you likely wouldn’t have seen coming when he lost tha..

Bayley Says She’d Be Happy to Help Ronda Rousey “Earn Her Stripes”

WWE superstar Bayley was recently interviewed by Sports Day in order to promote “Raw” and “Smackdown Live” events in Dallas this coming week. She discussed a number of topics, including her rivalry with Sasha Banks, the “Royal Rumble,” Ronda Rousey and more. Below are some questions, along with “the hugger’s” answers:
And what about the Royal Rumble – being behind the curtain, and hearing the countdown, the “5, 4, 3, 2, 1…” before you go out to the ring?
Bayley: “Every time somebody went out I had goosebumps. Every single time the crowd was counting. That’s almost everybody’s favorite memory about watching the WWE is the Royal Rumble, and being able to be a part of the countdown when you’re live in the crowd, and just seeing who comes out next – it doesn’t matter who it is – everybody is just excited. So, going down there myself and then Trish Stratus coming out right after me and hearing the crowd when her music hit, and when her and Mickie James were face to face – to be in the ri..

Elias Discusses His Love of Playing the Guitar, His Songs, WrestleMania

Elias was recently interviewed by Guitar World, where he discussed a number of topics. Among them were his love of playing the guitar and music in general, the songs he writes every week, WrestleMania and more. “The drifter” has most recently been in a mini-feud with Braun Strowman, but also recently wrote a song for “Woken” Matt Hardy.
You can see a clip of that song below:

Below are some questions from the interview, along with Elias’ answers:
When did you first start playing guitar?
When I was 15, I got super into Eric Clapton. My father took notice of this and got me a guitar for Christmas.
What was that first guitar?
I’m going to say the brand was a [Yamaha] Pacifica electric kit for learning guitar. Once I had enough knowledge of guitar, that’s when I branched out to Fender, which is a favorite brand of mine, and so on.
Every week on-air, you perform a different original song. Do you feel pressure to come up with new material all..

“Impact Wrestling” Ratings and Audience – March 15, 2018

The fans like monsters. Last week’s episode of “Impact Wrestling” saw the Crossroads special which features several top name stars in big time matches. While that set up several things, it also created the question of how many people would come back. The following show would be a regular episode, so how did it draw?
Miss last night’s show? Here are some quick highlights.
[This post contains video, click to play]

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of “Impact Wrestling” drew a .10 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 350,000 viewers. These numbers are up 42% and 8% over last week’s .07 rating and 325,000 viewers. The rating is the highest since July 2017. This week’s show was headlined by the Feast or Fired match though the contents of the briefcases weren’t revealed. You can read this week’s results right here.
Opinion: I’m not surprised that the numbers are higher up as last week’s show was quite good. Hopefully they can keep this up, though that’s been a problem for..

Rusev Has a Celebrity Opponent for WrestleMania 34?

What better way to celebrate your own day then with an appearance by a celebrity? As of right now, Rusev does not have an opponent for WrestleMania 34. He recently lost to Shinsuke Nakamura at the “Fastlane” pay-per-view, and lost to AJ Styles by disqualification this past week on “Smackdown Live.”
You can see a clip of that match below:

As a result of not having a match, Rusev sent out the following tweet, indicating that he wants to face a celebrity at WrestleMania:
I need a celebrity to fight me at #WrestleMania34 ! #RusevDay
— RusevFromRusevDay (@RusevBUL) March 14, 2018

I'll take you on. Back alley brawl?

New Bold Claims About Roman Reigns Steroid Allegations, No Evidence Provided

A major story during the last few weeks has been alleged steroids distributor Richard Rodriguez accusing Roman Reigns of using performance enhancing drugs. After a great deal of hype and promises to release evidence implicating Reigns, today Rodriguez’s friend and associate Jon Bravo released a new video discussing the allegations.
[This post contains video, click to play]

In the video, Bravo and Rodriguez go through a long sequence of connected e-mails and text messages apparently showing various non-WWE trainers associated with wrestlers (including Jinder Mahal, Luther Reigns and Sheamus) who they claim purchased products from Rodriguez. Regarding Roman Reigns, both Bravo and Rodriguez claim that he has made similar purchases under an alias, though the evidence proving such claims are currently in the possession of the DEA. Bravo says that he will be receiving the evidence in the future, though a time frame is not provided. Near the end of the video, it is specifically said tha..

Impact Wrestling Results – March 15, 2018

Impact Wrestling
Date: March 15, 2018
Location: Impact Zone, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Josh Matthews, Sonjay Dutt
Things are entering a new phase here as we’re done with Crossroads, meaning it’s time to get ready for the next big show. While that hasn’t been announced yet, there is at least a hint of the upcoming World Title feud with Alberto El Patron staring down Austin Aries last week. Let’s get to it.
Here’s Crossroads if you need a recap.
Jeremy Borash (flashback time) is with everyone involved in Feast or Fired. The point of this: they’re all in Feast or Fired.
Recap of Crossroads. That really was a good show.
Opening sequence.
Sami Callihan vs. Fallah Bahh
Sami bounces off the huge Bahh and gets knocked into the corner by the power of the belly. The third knockdown has Sami bailing to the floor for a meeting with OVE. TBack in and Bahh takes him down to put a toe in Sami’s mouth. Callihan finally pulls him down by the head for a breather and some stomping keeps Ba..
