Jerry Lawler Recently Suffered A Stroke

Jerry Lawler had a stroke while at home three weeks ago.
On his podcast Dinner with The King, Jerry Lawler revealed he had a stroke two and and a half weeks before WrestleMania 34. He said the stroke came right before he had a busy week planned.
“It was on March 21st at about 6:30pm. I was here at my house and matter of fact we were scheduled to leave the next day on the 22nd to go to (Los Angeles) for Wondercon,” said Lawler “I had a stroke out of the clear blue. I was basically feeling fine…I said something to (his fiancée) Lauryn and she said 'what did you say?' and I realized then what I said didn't sound right,” he continued.
Lawler implied he was in an intimate moment with his fiancée when his speech became slurred and half of his face became paralyzed. She drove Lawler directly to the hospital and he was attended to immediately. He said the stroke was a brain hemorrhage and his blood pressure was very high. He was in the hospital for three days without bei..

Andre The Giant Documentary Producer Had To Convince Vince McMahon To Do The Film

Bill Simmons says WWE trusts him with Andre the Giant's story.
Earlier this week, the Andre the Giant documentary premiered on HBO. The film follows the life of Andre the Giant and provides insights to his life. In an interview with ESPN, producer of the film Bill Simmons talked about the creation of the film. He said he had been building relationships within WWE because of his podcast and eventually he got to talk to Vince McMahon.
“At that point I had a good enough relationship with the WWE to at least get them on the phone and get Vince, so we had this teleconference call…and basically tried to convince Vince to do it for an hour. It was really personal to him. I think we swayed them. The WWE is a really good company that is very protective of their (intellectual property) and they should be,” said Simmons.
Even though WWE is protective, Simmons said he feels trusted by the company.
“I just don't think this is something that could have happened sooner than this. T..

UFC 223: From Bus Fights to Cage Fights and Everything In Between

Following UFC 223, Khabib Nurmagomedov is your new undisputed lightweight champion, dethroning former champion Abeyance Iaquinta. It was a competitive fight in the eyes of Joe Rogan and came down to a razor close 50-43 decision on the judges scorecards.
Following the bout, Nurmagomedov issued a challenge to Georges St-Pierre for no real reason. There brief talks that St-Pierre could drop to 155, but those rumors were silenced when logic intervened. Despite missing weight a handful of times, Khabib has never opening discussed moving up to 170 lbs.
All of this is to say, nothing was settled at UFC 223 in the lightweight division.
The long-awaited and highly-anticipated bout between Nurmagomedov and former interim undisputed champion Tony Ferguson fell apart for a fourth time. The UFC will need to book the bout at least one more time to see who wins the best of five series. Featherweight champion Max Holloway stepped up in Ferguson's place, but was deemed unfit to compete by the..

Joe Rogan took part of the UFC 223 broadcast alongside Jon Anik and Jimmy Smith, offering the following about the bus attack by the Irishman and cohorts.
“It’s crazy,” Rogan said during the broadcast. “It’s pathetic, it’s disgusting. I hate it. I hate that it happened. And I hate that it happened, caused by a guy I love. I’m a giant Conor McGregor fan, and to see him step out this badly just really, really upsets me.”

Smith was also a part of the UFC 223 broadcast and he stated the following about the bus attack.
