Are they wrong? A wrestler’s theme music is one of the most important aspects of their entire presentation. Having the right theme music can move a wrestler up to the next level, but the wrong choice can cause them some problems. Music and wrestling often cross paths in other places too and sometimes that is not a good thing. That seems to have been the case last weekend, at least internally in WWE.

Over the weekend at the WWE Royal Rumble, Hardy gave a live performance of the show’s theme song, “Sold Out”. The song took place between the Women’s Royal Rumble and the show’s main event, with the commentators cracking jokes throughout parts of the performance. According to Fightful Select, most people backstage “scoffed at” the performance, saying it “compromised things”.

There is one more big stop to make on the way there though and that is Elimination Chamber. While the show is usually built around the show’s namesake matches, there is something else expected this year and it is already getting some special attention.

Just a cameo. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be difficult to come up with something for everyone to do. With so much talent in the company, it can be quite the shakeup when someone else is added to the list. Every so often you will see a wrestler come in and then be gone again almost so fast, which seems to have been the case again this week.

Nia Jax made a surprise return to WWE in the women’s Royal Rumble, entering as the #30 entrant and being eliminated in just shy of two minutes. There is nothing to suggest that she has signed a new deal with the company or will be appearing regularly going forward, though this could still change. It was a last second situation. The Royal Rumble is one of the most unique WWE events of the year and will feature more wrestlers than any other show of the year. With two Royal Rumble matches on a single night, there are going to be sixty wrestlers spread out over two matches. That can lead to some difficulties in finding enough people, and this year it took until the very last minute.

WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T. appeared in the men’s Royal Rumble event this year. He spoke about the match on his Hall Of Fame podcast, where he revealed that he was only told he was participating in the match during the Kickoff Show. Booker T. brought his gear with him and went to the ring cold, without having time to warm up. He joked that he would have won the match if he had time to get ready. Finally, he said that he was sore after the match, with his wife Sharmell having to walk on his back to get it in line again.

It can happen to anyone. Injuries are one of the worst things to happen to a wrestler as you can see anyone get hurt at any time in any match. The question after that is what happens next, as you never know how long someone is going to be out of action. Another wrestler is hurt, but thankfully things might not be as serious as it can be in various other situations.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Corey Graves mentioned that Dakota Kai was injured during the women’s Royal Rumble, though there are no details on what happened to her. Kai did not wrestle this week on Monday Night Raw, but she did appear in a segment with Becky Lynch, who tied a chair around Kai’s leg and threatened her to get a match against Bayley.

Something about them makes them stand out from the crowd and having them on any given show is a special occasion. Maybe next time. There are certain stars in wrestling who have become legends in their own time. Since it is wrestling, there is always the chance that they might come back to the ring later, even at the age that most mainstream athletes would long since have retired. There was a hope that some legends would be back in the ring later this year, but that does not seem likely.

The situation is about the same for the Rock, who is not expected to wrestle at the event, but could appear. Rock has apparently left the door open for a match at WrestleMania 40 in 2024.

It’s the go home show for Vengeance Day and that means it is time for the hard sell, which is one of the things NXT tends to do best. In addition to the build towards the show, we also have the long awaited Creed Brothers vs. Indus Sher match, which has been postponed at least once before. Let’s get to it.
Indus Sher vs. Creed Brothers Jinder Mahal and Ivy Nile are here too. Julius and Veer slug it out to start with neither getting anywhere. Brutus comes in to slug away at Sanga in the corner but Sanga takes over with the power. It’s back to Julius, who gets dropped throat first onto the top rope to put him in trouble as well. A reverse Beverly Bomb crushes Julius again and we hit the chinlock.
Julius fights up and manages to get over to Brutus for the hot tag. Everything breaks down and Julius muscles Veer up for a powerbomb. The sliding lariat is broken up by Mahal t..

Their title match has officially been set up, but there is a detail involving someone else on the roster. One other wrestler is rather popular at the moment, but WWE has made up its mind.

WWE reportedly does not see Zayn as the face of the company, while Rhodes is seen as someone who could potentially headline WrestleMania. Occasionally you can find a star who has something else to do once they leave the ring and manage to thrive at it, but that tends to be the top of the top stars. Now one of the biggest names in the history of wrestling is going to be trying another non-wrestling project.
According to Wrestlenomics, Steve Austin will be hosting a new series called “Steve Austin Takes On America”. The series will debut on April 9 and run through June 11 over ten weeks. There are no further details on the series, which will air on A&E along with other WWE related series. Austin will also be the focus of two episodes of the WWE Rivals series, beginning on the night of the “Takes on America”.

They’ll be around. One of the biggest WWE stories of the last several months has been the return of several wrestlers after their releases from the company the previous year. It can mean a lot to have these wrestlers back, especially when some of them did not leave on the best of terms. Two wrestlers in particular are back with the company and now we know a little more about it.

Last year, the Good Brothers (Karl Anderson/Luke Gallows) returned to WWE to help AJ Styles in his feud with the Judgment Day. New hirings are usually on three years deals but WWE COO Triple H was reportedly offering the team longer deals to make up for the team being released in 2020.

That could be different. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestler and changing an appearance or character can be a big deal. Occasionally you will see someone get a complete character change, some of which can be quite the boost for a wrestler’s career. WWE is now teasing the possibility of a change, if a new storyline happens to go in the right way.

While not confirmed, this may suggest that the two teams will be feuding, or that Otis could be undergoing a gimmick makeover. Otis did not acknowledge or seem to hear what Dupree said.
