While there are multiple real life reasons for a wrestler to miss some time, some of the reasons are only for the sake of advancing a storyline. That seems to be the case again, as an NXT star is going to be missing for a little while.

Over the weekend, Grayson Waller was defeated by Bron Breakker in the main event of NXT Vengeance Day. Following the match, Waller confronted NXT executive Shawn Michaels and asked what he needed to do to become the top star in NXT. On Monday, WWE announced that Waller had been suspended for one week for his actions. Waller has since responded, asking to be allowed back so he can pose with Michaels like other WWE stars. There is nothing to suggest that the suspension is anything more than a storyline.

There’s your next awesome team. There are certain people in wrestling who catch your attention no matter what they are doing. Wrestlers like them are incredibly valuable to any promotion, as they can bring up all kinds of other stars along with them. In this case, one of the biggest stars in wrestling is doing something with one of them, though it is not going to be for the masses.

This week, Chris Jericho hosted his annual Rock N Wrestling Rager At Sea cruise. The cruise featured live wrestling, including a tag match between Chris Jericho and Danhausen against the Gunn Club. Jericho wrestled the match in full Danhausen gear, including face paint, while impersonating Danhausen throughout the match. Following the match, some guest stars appeared as well.

We are less than two weeks away from Elimination Chamber and that means it is time to start getting more qualifying matches out of the way. In addition to that though, we have a cage match between Bayley and Becky Lynch which should be a heck of a showdown. That should be enough but Cody Rhodes will be somewhere as well. Let’s get to it.
Here are Edge and Beth Phoenix for a chat, but first we see a clip of Edge quitting at Extreme Rules to save Beth from a Conchairto, which happened anyway. Then they returned at Elimination Chamber, where they took out Judgment Day again. In the arena, Edge talks about how he wanted Judgment Day to be about finding new talent. We hear about the members of the team but then everything fell apart. The team attacked Edge so here is their golf clap. Fans: “YOU STILL GOT IT!” Edge: “I never lost it!”

It’s just a one off. There are all kinds of wrestling television shows around the world today and the power of streaming has made it easier than ever to see what is available. At the same time, there is little that is more dominant than being on television, as it remains the dominant force for distribution. Now one of the biggest wrestling shows of the week is changing for a little while.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They Went At It: Another AEW Backstage Scuffle Revealed
According to PWInsider.com, the February 17 episode of AEW Rampage will air at 7pm.. The one night change is due to TNT’s coverage of the NBA that evening. The show usually airs at 10pm EST on Friday nights but regularly deals with changed due to the network’s coverage of other mainstream sports. There have been no matches announced for the card so far.

She won’t be around. One of the biggest WWE stories from last year was the departure of Naomi and Sasha Banks. The team, then WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, walked out on the company, vacating the belts in the process. Banks has since resurfaced in New Japan, but Naomi has not wrestled again since. Now there is a hint that it might be even longer than that.

In the last few days, Naomi has updated her Instragram biography to say “Just Trinity”, with no reference whatsoever to her WWE name of Naomi. There is nothing to suggest that she will be returning to WWE at any point in the near future, though there have been reports that the two sides have been in negotiations. Naomi has not wrestled a match since May 15, 2022.

She’s back. The main event of tonight’s episode of Raw featured a steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley that was originally supposed to take place at Raw XXX. While Bayley would have backup with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky, it appeared that The Man had some backup too.
In the closing moments of the match, Lynch was getting ready to escape the cage, when interference from Kai and Sky prevented The Man from getting out. Just when it looks like Bayley was going to get the win, WWE Hall of Famer Lita made her return to television to even the odds. She would fight off Damage Control, slam the door in Bayley’s face, and allow Lynch to get the win.
Lita was last seen on WWE programming at the 2022 Elimination Chamber premium live event, where she lost a match to Lynch.

Long time in the making: We are on the way to Elimination Chamber, with the show taking place in less than two weeks. That does not leave long to build up the show, but the other problem is that the show’s namesake matches are going to take up twelve people from the roster. WWE is going to have to come up with something clever to fill in the card and now we know a bit more about the show.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Edge and Beth Phoenix appeared and talked about wanting to finish the war with the Judgment Day once and for all. Phoenix issued a challenge for a mixed tag against Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley, who was not there, with Balor accepting. Phoenix and Edge have teamed together before, defeating the Miz and Maryse at the 2022 Royal Rumble.

They’re gone too. WWE has such a big roster of talent that they can move wrestlers from one show to another without much trouble. It is the kind of thing that you do not get to see happen very often but WWE knows how to move things around quickly. That is what they did with three names on Monday, but it turns out that is not the only move that has been made on the same day.

Earlier this week, all three of the Maximum Male Models were moved from SmackDown over to Monday Night Raw. This came after the Models appeared last week for an angle on Monday Night Raw. Now, according to PWInsider.com, two more stars are moving from SmackDown to Monday Night Raw, as Los Lotharios (Angel/Humberto) as well. There is no word on why the move was made or if any more moves are expected.

They’re on the move. WWE has enough wrestlers that they have been able to split their talent pool into three unique rosters. Monday Night Raw, NXT and SmackDown all have their own set of talent, but some of them will occasionally move from one show to another. That seems to be the case again as two wrestlers, along with their manager, have moved to a different roster.

Last week on Monday Night Raw, the Maximum Male Models appeared, with Maxxine Dupri seeming to take an interest in Otis, though nothing else took place. According to Fightful Select, the team (Dupri, Mace and Mansoor) have officially moved to Monday Night Raw. An angle is expected to take place to confirm the move as well as to continue the storyline with Otis.

That’s a lot of money. WWE is a company that makes more money than it knows what to do with most of the time and that has put them in a very strong spot. They know how to bring in all kinds of money and often find new ways of doing so. The company is willing to accept almost any method of bringing in extra money and now we know how they did so again recently.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: LOOK: Bray Wyatt/Uncle Howdy Storyline Gets Even More Confusing At WWE Live Event
Last month at the Royal Rumble, WWE presented the Pitch Black match between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight, presented by Mountain Dew. The match saw both wrestlers wrestling in neon gear with the lights turned down and several mentions of the drink. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the match was a “million dollar deal” for WWE. A WWE executive has already announced that another sponsored match will take place at WrestleMania 39 without giving any details.

Just to make it even more confusing. There are certain characters and stories in wrestling that can be hard to figure out. Some of them do or say things that leave fans with more questions than answers and that can make for some interesting moments. WWE certainly has its share of them and now one of the most confusing has taken another turn, at least during a recent live event.

Over the last several weeks, Bray Wyatt has been forced to deal with a mysterious man named Uncle Howdy. This has involved Howdy following Wyatt, as well as attacking him once. Last week on SmackDown though, the two seemed to form an alliance. This was followed by Wyatt wearing the Howdy mask to the ring during a recent WWE live event in Columbus, Ohio. Wyatt had once declared that he WAS Howdy, though the two have been seen together since.
