Real Reason Why Roman Reigns is WWE’s Top Merchandise Seller Revealed

Recently, it was reported on WrestlingRumors that Roman Reigns had surpassed John Cena as WWE’s top merchandise seller. On paper, that’s a good thing. A lot of fans and analysts question how Cena’s sales are still so high despite barely being on WWE TV.
Others have blamed Roman’s complex dynamic with the WWE Universe as the reason why he hasn’t surpassed Cena until now. However, DirtySheets has revealed the details behind WWE’s merchandise sales and why Roman Reigns is considered the top seller.

According to the report, “The Big Dog’s” individual merchandise sales are not strong at all. By item, Roman’s merchandise sales have been disappointing, but his numbers are so high because of the number of items being sold. A top wrestler like Seth Rollins has two shirts and maybe a few small items during a WWE event. Roman Reigns can have as many as ten or more items available for purchase during a WWE live event.

Here’s When Becky Lynch Could Win the SmackDown Women’s Title

At Summerslam, Charlotte Flair won the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Becky Lynch also turned heel to set up a long rivalry between the two women. However, the WWE Universe has embraced Becky’s turn to elevate her as a babyface rather than be the heel turn WWE officials had planned. That’s forced the latter to change their plans.

WWE officials are allowing the fans to choose their favorites and the rivalry won’t have the tradition babyface/heel dynamic any longer. It’s undeniable that Becky is building a lot of momentum since Summerslam. There’s a unique opportunity to do something big with Lynch, so the big question is when should she win the SmackDown Women’s Title?
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the obvious choice for the title change would be WWE Evolution in October. In many ways, it’s predictable. It’s also fitting because WWE fans have made their point crystal clear to WWE offi..

We’ve finally arrived. Last year, Dave Meltzer said Ring of Honor couldn’t sell 10,000 tickets to an event. Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks took it as a challenge and they actually pulled it off in about fifteen months. The tickets sold out in about half an hour and they were off to the races. This is the biggest independent wrestling event in history and really, anything good coming out of the show is a bonus. Let’s get to it.
Here are Cody and the Young Bucks to say they’re going to blow the whole budget in 90 seconds with a bunch of pyro. The pyro doesn’t go off and Cody asks Nick if he paid the pyro guy. They try again and there is indeed pyro. With that out of the way, here’s Animal on a motorcycle for the wrestling legend cameo (their words). Now it’s time for free merchandise with t-shirts being thrown and launched out of a t-shir..

Is Charlotte Flair the Roman Reigns of WWE’s Women’s Division?

Becky Lynch’s recent heel turn against Charlotte Flair in WWE continues to be the talk of pro wrestling fans. Many believe the turn is ill-advised and puts Lynch in a bad spot for her character. Others feel that Becky had to change at some point and at least she’s in the world title picture again. But both sides can surely agree that once again WWE is taking a very familiar direction that typically leads to nothing but confusion. Fans have seen this move many times in the past and more often than not, it just doesn’t work out. Whatever the reasoning behind the heel turn was or despite what the destination is, the fact is that Charlotte is now becoming the Roman Reigns of the women’s division.
With any luck, this is not what WWE wanted. It’s impossible to know, mostly because Roman’s direction is the same today as it was when fans began hating him three years ago. The company has had ample time to alter course and do something different yet that’s not happened. Reigns continues to rece..

It’s The Big One. Watch John Cena Debut The Sixth Move Of Doom

I guess he can learn a new move. John Cena is an institution in WWE and has a lot of what he does down to a science. He’s so established in what he does that he uses a regular series of moves to finish opponents off. That list of moves hasn’t changed in a long time, to the point where they’re known as the Five Moves of Doom. Now that Cena’s career is coming to a close though, he’s got something new to throw in.
And it’s worth the wait.

Cena wrestled in China on Saturday and debuted his newest move, which he had dubbed the Sixth Move of Doom. The move was called the Lightning Fist (and the Doomiest), which was a backfist to the face after some posing. Cena set up the move with an Attitude Adjustment to Elias, who was teaming with Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal to face Cena, Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley. This was Cena’s first match since the Greatest Royal Rumble in April.
Cena debuted a new look as well and it’s….different. Check out a previe..

Five Letters, Two Words. Video: WWE’s Top Ten Biggest Quitters

It’s just not for me. There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history. The company has been around for a long time and that means a lot of people have come in and out of the doors over the years. Some of them have left in a graceful way and others haven’t left under the best of circumstances. The latter is often the more memorable and WWE is looking into just that.
See you later?

In honor of Kevin Owens quitting WWE earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, WWE has put together a new Top Ten video looking at the Biggest Quitters in WWE history. The majority of these are storyline based but several were used as ways for people to actually leave the company. There is a wide range to the list, with the oldest entry dating back over twenty years.
Opinion: Those two words are some of the most interesting you’re going to see in wrestling as they’re almost guaranteed to mean a big change of pace. I’m curious to see where this Owens story..

Batista’s Reveals Reason For Leaving WWE Was “Out Of Spite”

Former WWE superstar Batista was recently interviewed by The Sports Daily where he discussed a number of topics. Among them were why he left WWE and if he thought it was a smart move or not.
Below are some highlights from the interview:
On why Batista left WWE for Hollywood:
“It came about out of spite. First I have to say it came from me discovering I was a horrible actor and I wanted to be a better actor and I wanted to do it while I was still with WWE. They wouldn’t give me the opportunity within the company so I said that I should be given the opportunity to do it outside of the company and they said absolutely not.”

On if he thought it was a good decision:
“It was brave, maybe a little stupid. It was three years of me barely working. You know, it was a nice thing with the WWE, I made a very good living there, I was very comfortable and I could’ve stuck with that. But I wanted to do something else.”
What do you think of Batista’s co..

We’re still on the way towards….whenever the next Cruiserweight Title match is going to be as Drew Gulak seems ready to get another shot at Cedric Alexander. Last week’s main event saw Lucha House Party defeat Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese, but we could still get a thing or two more out of the feud, especially since Kalisto got involved at the end. Let’s get to it.
Here are last week’s results if you need a recap.
Drake Maverick gives us the recap/preview.
Opening sequence.
Brian Kendrick vs. Akira Tozawa Before the match, Kendrick and Brian Gallagher rip on Toronto a bit for being a secondary Commonwealth city. In addition to that, Tozawa doesn’t know his place and needs to learn to keep his mouth shut. Tonight, Tozawa is taking the beating that he deserves. Kendrick bails to the floor to start so Tozawa dives onto both he and Gallagher. Back i..

So You Want To Wrestle With Alexa Bliss?

She’s quite good at it. Alexa Bliss debuted on the main roster back in 2016 and has taken the WWE by storm. Despite being in WWE less than three years and having only turned 27 years old last month, Bliss is already a five time Women’s Champion and will very likely add more to that resume in the near future. There has to be some secrets to her success and now she’s letting the fans know.
In a new video from the BBC, Bliss talks about the five tips that allowed her to become a top WWE superstar. Some of these are a little bit self explanatory, but several are exercise and workout tips which could be useful in a variety of projects. The interview is outside of kayfabe, allowing Bliss to talk in more general terms instead of specifics. Here are her suggestions, with transcription courtesy of Sportskeeda.com:
1. Keep At It And Have Patience. “It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. You have to work every day to accomplish your goals, and then set more goals for yourself… know that it’s gonna..

Video: Five Surprising WWE Returns

Hey it’s….them. Returns are a staple in wrestling. You never know who might be showing up from one week to the next, as a lot of wrestlers have performed in various companies over the years. There’s little more entertaining than seeing someone pop up in a place you’re not expecting them to and if they have a good performance, things are even better. That’s where WWE is going today.
What the heck are you doing here?

WWE has posted a new video looking at Five Random Superstar Returns. These returns are all somewhat surprises but for the most part are more low key than others. The majority are names who were stars in the company in days past but came back for one reason or another. Several of them hadn’t been seen in WWE for a good many years and stuck around for a pretty long time after their surprise return.
Opinion: These might not have been the biggest deals, but there’s a reason that you get the annual Royal Rumble surprise nostalgia app..

Video Interview: Kevin Owens: “Working With Braun Strowman Hasn’t Been A Lot Of Fun”

I can understand why he wasn’t happy. It’s been a rough summer for Kevin Owens. Earlier this week he quit Monday Night Raw and after everything he’s been through, that can’t be the biggest surprise. Owens spent most of the summer dealing with Braun Strowman, who put him inside of a portable toilet, destroyed his car, and threw him off the top of a cage. So how did Owens like dealing with Strowman?
It wasn’t the most thrilling.

Owens was recently a guest on In This Corner with CBS Sports and talked about a variety of things. The interview includes Owens talking about the issues with Strowman, what it was like to fly off the top of the cage, the Festival of Friendship, and what it was like to be laying on the announcers’ table after Strowman threw him off the cage. The interview is mostly out of kayfabe for a rare take. Here are some highlights, courtesy of NoDQ.com:

Video: Jeff Hardy’s Ten Most Jaw Dropping Dives

It’s a Whisper in the Wind, it’s a Swanton, it’s not the best idea in the world. Back in 1994, a young kid named Keith Davis got destroyed by Razor Ramon on an episode of Monday Night Raw. He would later wrestle under his real name of Jeff Hardy and things would get a little better. Now a first ballot Hall of Famer, Hardy has been around for a long time and that means a long highlight reel. Some of the entries are a little more dangerous than others.
This can’t end well.

In honor of his 41st birthday, WWE has put together a video looking at Jeff Hardy’s Ten Most Jaw-Dropping Dives. The list isn’t in any particular order and features dives from Hardy’s entire WWE career. The dives come off of all sorts of objects, including trucks, ladders, the set and a cage among others. Not all of them take place in an actual match though, meaning there’s a little variety to the list.
Opinion: Hardy is going to do something very stupid in the Cell isn’t ..
