Update On Nia Jax’s Status After Monday Night Raw Attack

It might be a little while. Injuries take place all the time in wrestling and that is never a good thing. Sometimes someone is going to be forced out of action and the question becomes just how long they will be missing. There are a lot of legitimate injuries but sometimes a promotion uses a fake one to get someone off of television. Another wrestler is going on the shelf, though it could be for either reason.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Shayna Baszler defeated Nia Jax in a match that lasted less than three minutes. Following the match, Baszler crushed Jax’s arm in the steps and stomped on it to further the damage. During this week’s edition of the Bump, an announcement revealed that Jax had suffered a fractured and dislocated elbow, both of which will require surgery. It is not clear how long Jax will be out of action or why she is going on the shelf.
Baszler looked like a monster. Check out her beatdown of Jax plus some of her other dominant moments:

VIDEO: Keith Lee Gets Something New During Monday Night Raw Dark Match

That’s something new. A wrestler’s name can change everything about their career. The right or wrong name can make or break how someone is seen. Sometimes you see a wrestler get the wrong name and it does not work whatsoever. Other times it can be quite the hit, and hopefully the latter is the case in this situation, as a current WWE star needs the boost.
Keith Lee wrestled a dark match before this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw and was introduced as Keith “Bearcat” Lee. The name Bearcat may be a reference to Bearcat Wright, a wrestler who performed in the 1950s and 60s and was inducted into the Legacy Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017. Lee has not wrestled on television since the August 2 edition of Monday Night Raw.
You might not remember him that well. Check out the new and old versions of Lee:

WWE Want To Hear From You About New Superstars

They want to hear from you. NXT has been changed quite a bit as of late and some of those changes have been more prominent than others. The biggest changes have taken place over the last few weeks as NXT 2.0 has officially launched. There were all kinds of new names appearing on the show and now WWE is wondering what you thought of those debuts.
WWE has released a poll on its website asking fans which new NXT wrestler had the best debut. The choices are Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, Von Wagner, Brooks Jensen and Ivy Nile. Breakker is leading the results with 67% of the vote and was the only wrestler to win his match last week. Of the five wrestlers listed, only three of them actually wrestled a match at all.
Some of the wrestlers did better than others. Check out how they have done so far:

Vince McMahon Considering More Adult Changes For NXT

The boss may be speaking. While he might not be the most popular anymore, there is no one as powerful in wrestling as Vince McMahon. Anything he does or says can change the way wrestling works and that has been the case for a very long time now. It can be interesting to see what kinds of changes he makes and that seems like it could be the case again with NXT.
According to Fightful Select, McMahon is considering some new changes for NXT and might have the support of some USA Network executives. Some of the plans would include focusing more on the 18-34 demographic, featuring harsher language and in-ring aggression. There would also be more of a focus on current affairs and verbiage in promos. There is no word on if or when these changes would go into effect and they are only being discussed at the moment.
Did this week look different? Check out how the show went:

Why You Won’t Be Seeing Bryan Danielson Doing The YES Chant In AEW

Something is missing. There are certain things that are associated with certain wrestlers. It might be a move or a catchphrase, but the most effective one can often be a gesture. Steve Austin had the middle finger, Hulk Hogan had the hand to the ear and the Rock had the eyebrow. Now though, you might not be seeing one of the most popular modern gestures of the time being.
Bryan Danielson was a guest on Rasslin With Brandon Walker where he discussed not using the YES chant in AEW. Danielson mentioned that he spoke to Kevin Dunn before he left WWE and was asked to not use the YES chant as it is WWE’s intellectual property. This was done as a request and WWE has not threatened any form of legal actions against Danielson. It is understood that the fans are likely to do the chant, but Danielson will be trying not to get involved.
It’s an interesting interview. Check out the full thing, plus Danielson in both companies:

New Champion Crowned On NXT

History has been made! There are a lot of titles under the WWE banner and that makes some sense. With so many wrestlers and so many unique brands in WWE, you have to have a good deal of titles to spread between all of them. It can also make for a lot of title changes, as those titles are defended fairly regularly. We saw another title change take place this week.
During this week’s edition of NXT, Roderick Strong defeated Kushida to become the new NXT Cruiserweight Champion. The win came after assistance from the Diamond Mine, who attacked Kushida so Strong could get the win. The match was originally scheduled for August, but was postponed due to Kushida testing positive for the Coronavirus. There is nothing to suggest that plans were changed as a result.
Hail the new champ. Check out who is holding the title:

NXT Live Coverage And Results – September 21, 2021

NXT
Date: September 21, 2021
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Vic Joseph, Beth Phoenix, Wade Barrett
It’s time for NXT 2.0 2.0 as we are past the big debut last week. The show included a new NXT Champion in Tommaso Ciampa and the wedding between Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell. I’m not sure where we’re going from here but that’s what makes it fun. Allegedly. Let’s get to it.
We open with a recap of last week’s show.
Opening sequence.
A bunch of newcomers, including Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes and Odyssey Jones, are in the ring to start and here is new NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. The fans are glad to see Ciampa as he talks about going 908 days between NXT Title reigns. Now he is here as YOUR NXT Champion and Ciampa tells Goldie that he missed it too. Ciampa turns around and hypes up all of the new stars around here before declaring himself Mr. NXT.
You can put a new coat of paint on here but what matters most is the passion. That is what makes NXT..

1,500+ Fans Reportedly Walk Out On Monday Night Raw Segment

Voting with your shoes? Every now and then, an angle in wrestling just does not click. For one reason or another, there is something that does not work in a story and it can become a problem. You can see these things over and over and it does not make things any easier. That was the case this week again and some fans in the arena made it clear that they were unhappy.
This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw featured an edition of Alexa’s Playground with Charlotte as a guest. The two spoke about the other not being original and eventually brawled at the end of the segment. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, over 1,500 fans walked out of the arena during the segment. The segment took place before two more matches, including the main event Big E. vs. Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley.
It was certainly a different kind of segment. Check out what happened, plus some more from these two:

Title Change Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

That’s one of the important parts. Titles are one of the most important parts of a wrestling show as they are about as easy of a concept as you can have for any fan. The best wrestlers around have a shiny belt and other wrestlers want to take them away. That is something you are going to see in wrestling on a pretty regular basis and it was the case again this week.
During this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, the team of Rhea Ripley and Nikki Ash won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles from Natalya and Tamina. This marks the first title reign for Ripley and the third for Ash, whose previous two title reigns both came with Alexa Bliss. Prior to the match, Ripley and Ash dedicated the match to children suffering from pancreatic cancer.
History has been made. Check out the title change and how the new champs work together:

WATCH: Violent Injury Angle Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

That could get rid of her. With so much wrestling television to watch every single week, there is always the chance that you are going to need to find a way to freshen things up. Above all else, sometimes you just need to get someone off of television so the fans can start to miss them. That seems to be the case again this week, as a wrestler might not be around for the time being.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Shayna Baszler defeated former tag team partner Nia Jax in less than three minutes with the Kirifuda Clutch. Following the match, Baszler crushed Jax’s arm in the steps and then stomped on it, leaving Jax screaming in pain. As she was attacking Jax, Baszler looked distraught. There is a chance that this will be used to write Jax off of television for the time being.
It was a nasty moment. Check out what happened this week, plus what Jax can do when she is healthy:
