VIDEO: Controversial Wrestler Returning To The Ring After SpeakingOut Allegations

That will get people talking. There are all kinds of people in the wrestling world and some of them do not have the best reputation. Sometimes you will see a wrestler get blackballed from the industry and that could be the case for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately some of these are a lot more serious than others, though one such wrestler will be making his return to the ring soon.
Puerto Rico promotion CWA has released a video announcing that Marty Scurll will be making his debut with the company at Halloween Fan Fest on October 23 in San Juan. There is no word on what Scurll will be doing on the show. Scurll has not wrestled since February 2020 after facing allegations of a sexual encounter in the United Kingdom with an intoxicated 16 year old (the age of consent in the country) in 2015. While Scurll insisted the act was consensual, the girl described it as an assault of a child. As a result, Scurll was let go from Ring of Honor and has not been seen in wrestling since.

WWE Hall Of Famer In Hospital With Serious Medical Problems

That doesn’t sound good. Wrestlers are larger than life characters and that is what makes them successful. The more over the top they can be the better, as that is what makes people stop and take notice. You don’t see someone who can make the charisma and in-ring work go well at the same time, but now one of the best ever is having some serious health issues.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famer Superstar Billy Graham has been hospitalized due to an irregular heartbeat, heart failure and fluid in his lungs. Graham is currently undergoing treatment to have the fluid removed, but there is a fear about his kidneys not reacting well to the medication. Graham, 78 years old, is a former WWE Champion, having won the title in 1977. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
You might not have seen Graham before. Check out his time in the ring and see if he reminds you of anyone:

How Bryan Danielson Lied To WWE And Had To Retire

That’s one way to get around it. WWE is a huge wrestling company with an enormous roster of wrestlers. It is a nice idea to think that the company can keep track of everything about everyone around but that is just not a realistic concept. Something is going to get by them at some point and a former top star is now revealing just how much he got away with while part of the company.
AEW’s Bryan Danielson appeared on Moose and Maggie on WFAN (New York) radio and discussed some of his history of injuries. Danielson revealed that he lied to WWE about his injury status after a concussion and eventually the company found out. As a result, Danielson was forced to retire from the ring, as WWE did not feel safe allowing him to wrestle any longer. Danielson was out of the ring from 2015-2018, when he was medically cleared to return.
Bryan does have quite the history. Check out some of the more important moments in his career:

REVIEW: Monday Night Raw – April 23, 2007: It’s A New Record

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Monday Night Raw
Date: April 23, 2007
Location: Earl’s Court, London, England
Attendance: 12,000
Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler
It’s a special show as we are in London and it’s time for a Wrestlemania rematch. The main event of this week’s show will see WWE Champion John Cena facing Shawn Michaels in a non-title match. That’s not a bad way to spend Cena’s thirtieth birthday and they can probably do some good stuff. Let’s get to it.
Here is Shane McMahon, seemingly ready for a match, to get things going. Sha..

Former WWE Star Reveals Canceled Money In The Bank Plans

What could have been. The Money in the Bank briefcase has been around of over sixteen years now and has regularly changed the main event direction in WWE. That was the situation earlier this month when Big E. used the briefcase to become WWE Champion. There are a lot of successful cash-ins, with only a few failures. As it turns out, one of the failures was supposed to go in the other direction.
Aron Stevens, formerly known as Damian Sandow during his time in WWE, was a guest on UnSKripted and revealed that WWE had planned to make him World Heavyweight Champion. Stevens won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2013 and was scheduled to defeat John Cena to win the title, leading to a feud with former partner Cody Rhodes. Instead, Sandow unsuccessfully cashed in his title shot against Cena on the October 28, 2013 Monday Night Raw. There is no word on why the plans were changed, though Sandow said he was still proud of the match.
There is a lot here. Check out the full interview, plus a lo..

AEW’s Best: Even MJF’s Parents Can’t Stand Him

Does anyone like him? There are certain villains in wrestling who almost could not be a good person if they tried. These often make for the best heels in all of wrestling and it can be absolutely great to see some of these people allowed to let loose on the microphone. That is the case with one of the best villains going today but now he has gone another step beyond.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite took place in New York City, the hometown of Maxwell Jacob Friedman. As a result, Friedman’s parents showed up at the event, with his mother holding a sign saying “we’re MJF’s parents and we think he sucks too.” Friedman’s father also wore an “I HATE MJF” shirt. Friedman responded with a tweet saying “f*** off mom”. During the show, Friedman defeated Brian Pillman Jr. via submission.

Surprise Return Takes Place During This Week’s AEW Dynamite

Welcome back. Every now and then, a wrestler has to go away for one reason or another. That can make for some changes in storylines, but it can also lead to some cool moments when they finally get to come back. It is even better when someone comes back from a special occasion, and that is what took place this week with a surprise return during AEW Dynamite.
During this week’s special Grand Slam edition of Dynamite, Brandi Rhodes made her return from maternity leave. She accompanied her husband Cody Rhodes to ringside during his match against Malakai Black. During the match, Brandi got in the ring and sat face to face with Black as he taunted Cody, who was down on the floor. Brandi had been away since late last year on maternity leave.
You might need a refresher. Check out what Brandi can do when she is around:

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – September 22, 2021

DynamiteAEW
Date: September 22, 2021

Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross
We might be in for the biggest Dynamite in history as we the show is in New York City in front of about 20,000 people. The card is stacked too and this is giving me vibes of the Raw in MSG debut, which just happened to be twenty four years ago to the date. If it’s close to that good, we’re in for a huge night. Let’s get to it.

New Column: AEW’s Garden Style Grand Slam

AEW has changed the wrestling landscape with a mixture of different tactics. In addition to having some very entertaining wrestling, they have also done a nice job of tying their current product back into wrestling history. Some of these things have been flat out copies, but others have been a bit more subtle than that. This week, as AEW approaches probably their biggest Dynamite ever, they are dipping back into history again, whether they realize it or not.
This week, AEW is presenting its Grand Slam event in New York City at Arthur Ashe Tennis Stadium. The show will feature probably set AEW’s all time attendance record and will feature an absolutely stacked card. Already announced are Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson, Britt Baker defending the Women’s Title against Ruby Soho, the Cody Rhodes vs. Malakai Black showdown, Sting in action and a CM Punk interview. That’s one of the biggest cards ever, and then there is Rampage on top of the whole thing. All of that alone is an amazing car..

Main Event Results – September 22, 2021

Main Event
Date: September 16, 2021
Location: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton
We’re on the way to Extreme Rules, which is currently missing out on anything extreme. I can’t really picture that changing here, but Main Event isn’t exactly a show that likes changing things up very often. At best we can get a few good original matches and that’s about all. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Jaxson Ryker vs. Drew Gulak Ryker powers him into the corner to start so Gulak tries a slap to the face. This goes as well as you would expect as Ryker plants him down and hits a running headbutt. A shot to the throat slows Ryker down though and it’s a headlock takeover to put him on the mat. It takes Ryker a bit longer than expected to suplex his way to freedom as the comeback is on. A top rope hurricanrana of all things sets up the swinging Boss Man Slam to finish Gulak at 5:24.

RUMOR: AEW Considering New Championship

Keep bringing the gold. AEW has not been around for very long now but the company certainly has its own identity. This comes in the form of various traditions and accomplishments, some of which come in the form of championships. The company only has a few titles around, but that number might be growing even higher in the very near future.
According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Wrestling Podcast, AEW is considering introducing a new championship, which would be a secondary women’s title. There is no word on when the title would be introduced or what it would be called. AEW currently only uses its own Women’s World Title, as held by Britt Baker, though they have also used the NWA Women’s World Title, currently held by Kamille.
Hearing rumblings of a new title being introduced to AEW soon.

WWE RUMOR: Monday Night Raw Star Requests Release

So long again? WWE has been undergoing a lot of changes over the course of the year and a lot of that has been due to moves being made on the roster. This has included a lot of wrestlers leaving the promotion for one reason or another, some of which have not been voluntary. This time around though, another wrestler may be on their way out and by his own choice.
According to MasLucha.com, Monday Night Raw star Gran Metalik has requested his release from WWE over not having enough opportunities or a clear path on the roster. Metalik’s current deal expires in 2023 and he has been with WWE since 2016, losing in the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic. Metalik has spent the majority of his WWE career as a tag team wrestler, mainly as part of Lucha House Party.
You might have forgotten about him. Check out Metalik in WWE:
