WRESTLING RUMORS: Possible Signs Of Another Impending WWE Departure

So long and farewell? There have been so many changes to the WWE roster in recent years and some of the biggest have been in NXT. The NXT roster has been ripped apart and there is almost nothing left from the show’s most famous stretch. These changes have not exactly stopped and now another longstanding NXT name might be on his way out. We might even have some evidence.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, there is a chance that Roderick Strong may be on his way out of NXT. Strong and his wife, former NXT star Marina Shafir, have opened a Pro Wrestling Tees store. In addition, Strong has been losing most of his matches as of late, with his most recent victory taking place at NXT WarGames on December 15. This is seen as speculation at this point, though NXT has released wrestlers o little notice in the last year.
Opinion: The more I think about it, the more I think Strong might be on his way out. At the end of the day, Strong is 38 years old and doesn’t exactly fit the mold that WWE wants. ..

More On Potential Huge Royal Rumble Return, Possible WrestleMania Match

She could be useful. WrestleMania 38 is less than three months away and WWE is in a bit of a weird predicament. The company has let a lot of wrestlers go and as a result, there are not very many huge stars on top of the lineup. WWE needs to come up with something to make it work out, and one of the best options might be bringing in outside help. That seems to be the case, and now we might know some more about the plans.
Earlier this week, a report came out that WWE is hoping to bring back Ronda Rousey, with a return at the Royal Rumble being a possibility. According to Wrestling Observer Live, Rousey is scheduled to be at the Royal Rumble and will set up her WrestleMania 38 match. There is no definitive word on what Rousey would be doing at either show and WWE has made no reference to her.
Rousey made her debut at the 2018 Royal Rumble and went on to make her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 later in the year. Over the course of her WWE career, she would win the Raw Women’s Title at ..

Several New Names Announced For Royal Rumble

The field keeps getting stacked. The Royal Rumble is less than five days away and that means WWE has a lot of spots to fill in and not much time left to do it. There have been a lot of names set already but WWE likes to wait until the very last minute to make some announcements. That was the case again this week, as some more names were added to the fields.
WWE has announced that seven more names have been added to the men’s Royal Rumble field. Before this week’s Monday Night Raw went on the air, WWE tweeted that the following names had joined the match:
Omos
Randy Orton
Riddle
Chad Gable
Otis
Dolph Ziggler
Robert Roode
With these new additions, there are twenty two out of thirty entrants announced for the men’s match. At the same time, there are also twenty two entrances set for the women’s edition. There is no word on if any more names will be announced.

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – January 24, 2022

Monday Night Raw
Date: January 24, 2022
Location: Huntington Center, Toledo, Ohio
Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
It’s the go home show for the Royal Rumble and that could mean a few things. While the show is mostly set on the Raw side, there is always room to get in the final push towards Saturday and odds are that is what we are getting tonight. If nothing else, we have Miz celebrating Maryse’s birthday, which sounds shenanigansy. Let’s get to it.
We’re starting big this week with the official weigh-in between Bobby Lashley (with MVP) and Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman). Lesnar is looking rather casual in jeans and a cowboy hat, which Corey Graves doesn’t like. That earns him a threat, but Lashley goes first and weighs 273lbs. MVP says the match has been in the making for a long time but don’t worry, because Lashley will be gaining weight after the Rumble: the exact same weight as that title.
Lesnar goes next, and does at least take off his hat, allowing him ..

WWE Discussing Major Return, Possibly As Soon As The Royal Rumble

Back in the fold? We are less than a week away from the Royal Rumble and that means it is time to get ready for the Road To WrestleMania 38. WWE has a lot of work to do to get ready for the biggest event of the year and that means getting a lot of big names in position for the show. Some of them have not been around in a long time, but WWE might be bringing one of them back.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is having internal discussions about bringing back former Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. The discussions have reached the point where they are considered a “poorly kept secret” in the company. Rousey has been discussed as a possible women’s Royal Rumble entrant but nothing has been confirmed. Rousey’s return is said to be a matter of “when” rather than “if”. She has not wrestled since WrestleMania 35 and gave birth to her daughter in September.
Opinion: I would be happy to see Rousey back in WWE, but after several previous mentions of her return, I’ll believe it when I see it..

Several New WWE Events Announced For WrestleMania 38 Weekend

The calendar grows. We are less than three months away from WrestleMania 38 and that means it is time to start getting things set up. You can probably guess a few of the matches from here, but there are more than a few other things taking place over WrestleMania weekend. Those events have not been around in recent years, but now it is time to add a few things to this year’s schedule.
The Dallas Morning News has announced that there will be a Hall of Fame induction ceremony, some form of Axxess and NXT Stand & Deliver event taking place in Dallas, Texas over WrestleMania weekend. There are no more details about when or where either event will be taking place, though WrestleMania 38 will take place on Saturday April 2 and Sunday April 3. There has not been a traditional Hall of Fame induction ceremony since 2019 and last year’s NXT Stand & Deliver event took place at the WWE Performance Center.
Opinion: I’m really not sure what to expect from the weekend, but it could certainly look in..

Update On Mustafa Ali/WWE Standoff, Ali Blocks WWE Related Twitter Account

Well that got serious. There have been a lot of changes in WWE over the last year and a half, with all kinds of wrestlers being let go from the company. That has caused a huge shakeup within the company and changed the way that wrestlers see WWE. That means some wrestlers might want to leave before they are let go, but that is not always going to be granted. Now things have gone in a different direction.
Earlier this month, Mustafa Ali announced that he had requested his release from WWE, but the company turned down his request. This has led to a Twitter campaign using the hashtag “FreeAli”, with a fan sending the tweet to the WWEOnFox account. The fan was blocked, which caused Ali himself to block WWEOnFox. There is still nothing to suggest that WWE is planning to release Ali, who has not wrestled on television since October.

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE May Be Bringing Back An Old Character

Maybe it’s an improvement. Wrestlers have to have the right character to really get things working properly. Having the wrong situation or character can be quite a mess and that has been the case more than ones in WWE. Sometimes things just do not work out and a change is needed. That seems to be the case again, as we might be seting someone back in a characte that worked for them before.
According to WrestleZone, WWE has applied for a trademark for “The Goddess”. While not confirmed, this could mean a return to Alexa Bliss’ old character, as she was nicknamed the Goddess earlier in her in-ring career. Bliss has not ysed the character since becoming assoicated with the Fiend, though she has been undergoing therapy to return back to her former self. There is no word on when the change could take place or if it will be done whatsoever.
Bliss has been part of the WWE main roster since 2016 and has spent most of her career as a wrestler. Since debuting on the main roster, Bliss is a thre..

LOOK: AEW’s Britt Baker Appears In Sneaky Freaky Segment, Lockjaws Host

It comes with the job. A company’s champions tend to be its biggest stars, which makes a lot of sense. Most of the time, the more popular and successful wrestlers will be holding the gold, though that does bring some extra responsibility. Some of these responsibilities can include making various media appearances, which was the case for an AEW star this week. This time though, things got physical (in a way).
AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker appeared on a recent episode of the Nick Cannon Show during the Sneaky Freaky segment. Baker was initially announced as a dentist, before also revealing that she was a professional wrestler. She would go on to talk about getting into wrestling and balancing her two careers, as well as putting Cannon in her Lockjaw finishing hold.

Hi There: Jon Moxley Makes Surprise Appearance At Independent Event

Look who it is! AEW has changed the wrestling world by offering a new, top level platform for wrestlers to showcase themselves. That is not something that has been around for a very long time now and several AEW wrestlers have become stars as a result. Some names were big before they came in though, and now one of them has made a special appearance outside of the company.
Former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley made a surprise appearances at this weekend’s New England Wrestling WrestleFest 26 event in Poughkeepsie, New York on Saturday. Moxley wrestled in the first match, defeating Channing Thomas. This comes a day before Moxley is scheduled to defend his Game Changer Wrestling World Title against Homicide at The Wrld On GCW in New York City.
This match comes in the same week as Moxley returned to the ring following a three month hiatus. Moxley stepped away from wrestling in October in order to seek treatment for alcohol abuse. As a result, Moxley did not appear for a wrestling event un..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE May Be Bringing Back Former WCW Shows

You might remember them. Prior to the rise of AEW, WWE had been by far and away the most dominant wrestling promotion in the world. No one came close to touching them and that had been the case since WCW went out of business. By outlasting their competition, WWE was able to pick up some of the trademarks that had been forgotten, which was the case with two former events.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE has filed trademark applications for Uncensored and SuperBrawl. Both of these were events used by WCW in the 1990s and neither has been used since WCW folded. It is not clear what WWE would be using the names for, though they have brought back former WCW concepts such as WarGames and Halloween Havoc among others, in NXT.
SuperBrawl and Uncensored were regular WCW pay per view events, running in the 1990s and into the 2000s. WCW mainly ran the shows in February and March respectively, though the first SuperBrawl was held in May. SuperBrawl did not usually have a special theme, though..
