Former WWE Mainstay Makes Surprise AEW Debut, Officially Signed

Welcome to the team. There have been so many changes to so many wrestling rosters that it can be difficult to keep track of where everyone is going. That is not a bad thing as it leads to some surprising moments and highly promoted debuts. Sometimes you see someone other than a wrestler making their debut though and that was the case this weekend.
Sunday night’s AEW Revolution pay per view featured the debut of William Regal. Following Jon Moxley’s victory over Bryan Danielson, the two began to fight again. Regal came to the ring and ordered the two men to shake hands, which they eventually did. Later in the night, AEW President Tony Khan tweeted that Regal had officially signed with the company. Regal worked for WWE for over twenty years before being released in January.

BREAKING: AEW Debuts Another Former WWE Star

Welcome to the house. There are some incredibly talented wrestlers on the AEW roster and that has been a major part of their success. The company has managed to bring in a variety of wrestlers who have not gotten a chance elsewhere, allowing for quite a few fresh matches. Now they may be doing that again with a former WWE star who was released before getting his real shot.
During this weekend’s AEW Revolution pay per view, Shane “Swerve” Strickland made his debut and officially signed his contract with the company. This comes after Strickland had been rumored to sign with the company over the last several weeks. There is no word on when Strickland will debut. Strickland wrestled for WWE under the name Isaiah Scott before being released less than a month after being called up to the main roster from NXT.
Opinion: This isn’t exactly a surprise as it has been rumored for a few weeks now but it is absolutely a nice thing to see. Strickland should have been a much bigger deal in WWE but t..

AEW Revolution 2022 Live Coverage And Results

Revolution 2022
Date: March 6, 2022
Location: Addition Financial Arena, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone
We’re back on pay per view and that is usually a pretty good thing for AEW. This is an absolutely packed show with a twelve match (counting the Buy In) card, featuring a double main event of Hangman Page defending the World Title against Adam Cole and a dog collar match between CM Punk and MJF. Let’s get to it.
Buy-In: Leyla Hirsch vs. Kris Statlander Grudge match. Leyla wastes no time in hammering away and taking Statlander down. They head outside, with Hirsch tying the arm up in the steps and crushing it hard for a nasty visual. Back in and Statlander gets in a shot of her own, only to get tied in the Tree of Woe. The arm is tied in the ropes again and there’s a running dropkick to said arm, knocking Statlander back to the mat.
Statlander avoids a shot though and it’s a bodyscissors to keep Hirsch down. That’s broken up and they slug it out unt..

Yes, Again: Impact Wrestling Star Suffers Another Injury This Weekend

That woman is cursed. There are certain wrestlers who have all the talent in the world but one thing or another holds them back for some reason. Sometimes it might not even be their fault, but something keeps happening. That might come in the form of injuries, which can often put them on the shelf. It seems to have happened again, as a certain wrestler seems to be cursed.
Impact Wrestling’s Chelsea Green has announced that she injured her wrist during this weekend’s Sacrifice event. Green suffered the injury during a match against Deonna Purrazzo. This is the same wrist that she injured during her first match in NXT. She also suffered an arm injury during her debut on SmackDown. There is no word on how long Green will be out of action.

AEW Revolution 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s back to the pay per view schedule for AEW and that is a great thing to hear. AEW has a pretty awesome track record for pay per views and there is a good chance that it will do the same here. This time is a bit different though as there is a staggering twelve match card with three matches taking place on the Buy In. The positive thing is that the matches look good, but dang that is a lot. Let’s get to it.
Buy-In: QT Marshall vs. Hook We’ll start off with one of the fun ones here as Hook has taken AEW by storm in his still short career. What seemed to start off as little more than a big joke has turned into a pretty great run from Hook, who has smashed a variety of people without overstaying his welcome once. I believe this will be his first live match though and that could make for a new challenge.
He has been sent:

I mean, I say challenge as seriously as it can be meant as it’s Marshall across the ring from him, meaning Hook wins this ..

Former World Champion Makes Surprise Return At Impact Wrestling: Sacrifice

Surprise surprise. There have been a lot of moves made from on almost every wrestling promotions roster in the last several months and all kinds of wrestlers have jumped from company to company. That has happened so often that it is almost strange to see someone stick around, but it does happen from time to time. It was the situation again this week when a big return went down.
The main event of this weekend’s Impact Wrestling Sacrifice event saw Moose successfully defend the World Title against Heath. After the match was over, Josh Alexander made his return to the company after three weeks away, announcing that he had signed a new long term contract with Impact Wrestling. This came after Alexander’s previous contract had expired and he had returned to Canada. Alexander also said that he would be challenging for the World Title at Rebellion on April 23.
Opinion: This is something that Impact Wrestling almost had to do as Alexander has been the centerpiece of the company for most of t..

Three Title Changes Take Place Saturday Night

History has been made twice! Titles have long since been the focal point of wrestling promotions and that is not a surprise. They are the easiest concepts in the wrestling world and that will be the case for a long time to come. Wrestlers can win, lose or challenge for a title and have an instant story to be told, making putting a story together that much easier. That was the case twice over the weekend.
Three titles changed hands at Impact Wrestling’s Sacrifice event on Saturday night. First, the Knockouts Tag Team Titles changed hands as the IInfluence defeated the IInspiration to win the titles for the first time. Later in the show, Tasha Steelz won the Knockouts Title from Mickie James, marking her first reign with the title. Finally, the Good Brothers lost the Tag Team Titles to Eric Young and Joe Doering of Violent By Design, marking the group’s second reign with the championships. All of the other champions retained their titles on the night.
Opinion: It was certainly an event..

WATCH: Bloody, Violent Ending To WWE Live Event At Madison Square Garden

That’s the big one. WWE has been around for a long time and the company has a certain group of traditions that they follow. There are matches that are held, events that take place and special places to go, but nothing is as important as Madison Square Garden. The venue is the home base of company and it is still a special place for WWE. They were back this week and something big happened.
One of the major selling points of this weekend’s WWE live event at Madison Square Garden was the idea of Brock Lesnar’s challenge for the WWE Title. Austin Theory wound up challenging Lesnar in a losing effort, but after the match, Universal Champion Roman Reigns and the Usos attacked Lesnar and left him bloodied to end the show. Lesnar and Reigns are scheduled to square off at WrestleMania 38 in a title unification match.

Impact Wrestling Results – March 3, 2022

Impact Wrestling
Date: March 3, 2022
Location: Alario Center, Westwego, Louisiana
Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan
Somehow it’s already the go home show for Sacrifice and the card is mostly set. The big match on the show seems to be the Tag Team Title match as Moose defending the World Title against Heath is only so important. Odds are they will add one or two more things to the card tonight so let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Opening sequence.
Eddie Edwards vs. Steve Maclin Maclin starts the brawl in the aisle and they slug it out, with Maclin hitting a running knee. They go inside for the opening bell and Maclin punches him right back to the floor, setting up a hard suicide dive. Back in and Eddie grabs a Blue Thunder Bomb to take over but they trade running forearms for a double knockdown. They slug it out until Maclin hits a running clothesline but Eddie catches him on top with a running boot. Maclin knocks him into the Tree of Woe and hits the spear in the corner to..

WWE Hall Of Famer Returning To Monday Night Raw Next Week

Welcome home. There have been so many wrestlers throughout the history of WWE that it is virtually impossible to keep track of all of them. Some names make very little impression while others have such an impact that their name alone brings back a flood of memories. One of those names has not been seen in a long time but will be making a special return next week.
WWE has announced that Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler will be making an appearance this week on Monday Night Raw, though there is no word on what he will be doing. Lawler last appeared in a backstage segment back in December 2021, though the announcement says it has been nearly two years since his last appearance. Lawler has been a regular host of the Raw Talk recap show.
Opinion: I’m not sure what Lawler is going to do, but it is a bit telling that WWE doesn’t even remember his most recent appearance. It kind of makes you wonder just how unorganized everything is backstage, as that is something that WWE should be able to rememb..

VIDEO: Surprise Return Takes Place On AEW Rampage

Welcome back. There are a lot of wrestlers on the AEW roster and some of them have carved out quite the niche for themselves. The roster has a wide variety of styles and experience which can be combined to make some very interesting feuds. That has been the case over recent months and now one of the stars has returned, meaning that things are picking up again.
This week’s AEW Rampage featured the return of Hikaru Shida, who ran to the ring to save Leila Grey from an attack at the hands of Serena Deeb. After Deeb defeated Grey, she applied the Serenity Lock, causing Shida to return for the save. This is Shida’s first appearance since January when Deeb injured her during a match. The two have been feuding since October, splitting four matches in the process.
It was a cool return. Check out what happened on Rampage:

Opinion: I’m a bit disappointed in this as there is little reason for the feud to continue. Deeb has been on a roll in recent we..

Here Are Two Matches That Will And Won’t Take Place At WrestleMania 38

You need to make some room. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 38 and the card should be starting to come together. WWE has a lot of matches to set for the two night event and have eight already announced. That leaves a lot of room still to cover, but there are some ideas that they have used before that they could go to again. It seems that they will be doing just that, at least with one match.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE will be holding the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal as usual at WrestleMania, but the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will not take place. Instead, the Andre battle royal will be held either on the March 28 Monday Night Raw or the April 1 SmackDown. WWE held the battle royal on SmackDown last year rather than at WrestleMania 37. The Women’s battle royal has not been held since 2019. There is no word on why the changes would be made this year.
Opinion: That’s kind of an odd set of choices to make, though I am almost worrie..
