BREAKING: WWE Releases Reigning Champion Over Domestic Violence Allegations

That’s a big change. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster today but sometimes some of them leave the company for one reason or another. That might be for something rather negative and those situations can often be for a serious matter. That seems to be the case again, as a rather prominent wrestler has been let go from the company over an allegation.
According to Sean Ross Sapp, NXT Tag Team Champion Nash Carter has been released from WWE. This comes after Carter’s wife, Impact Wrestling wrestler Kimber Lee, accused him of domestic violence and posted a photo of him with a Hitler mustache and doing a Nazi salute. However, the wife of Carter’s partner Wes Lee has posted a tweet of her own, saying that Carter is the victim of Kimber Lee’s mental abuse and Carter and Kimber Lee have not been together. There is no word on what will be done about the title situation.
I can now confirm this information

Turnaround: Surprise Title Change Takes Place On NXT

Fast turnaround. We are done with the biggest wrestling weekend of the year and a lot went down. There were major matches, several showdowns and big moments that changed the way a lot of stories go. This included a variety of title changes, some of which might not have been the biggest surprises. What was a surprise was having the title change back almost immediately.
The Kickoff Show match for Saturday’s NXT Stand & Deliver saw Dakota Kai/Raquel Gonzalez take the Women’s Tag Team Titles from Toxic Attraction. However, Toxic Attraction took the titles back from Kai and Gonzalez this week on NXT, ending their reign at three days. This is actually longer than Kai and Gonzalez’s first reign as champions, as they lost the titles the night they were awarded them in March 2021.
Opinion: I’m not sure I get this, as the title change felt lik the whole picture was changing. Apparently that is not the case though and now we have things right back where they were on Saturday morning. In theory ..

How WWE’s WrestleMania Plans Would Have Looked Without Ronda Rousey

She wasn’t the first choice. The WWE roster is constantly in a state of flux as you don’t know who might show up every now and then. That can make for some interesting changes, but it can also shake things up at the drop of a hat. It can be fascinating to see what the changes mean to WWE, and now we know about what a specific change meant for two people.
The scheduled main event from Night One of WrestleMania 38 was SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte defending against Ronda Rousey. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Rousey took Sasha Banks’ spot when she returned, sending Banks into a tag team with Naomi. Banks and Naomi went on to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania while Charlotte retained over Rousey.
Opinion: This is something that makes sense, as Rousey only returned to WWE about two and a half months before WrestleMania. I’m not sure when her deal with the company was ready, but you have to think that WWE had another plan in mind before she debuted on televisi..

WATCH: WWE Hall Of Famer Involved In Angle On NXT

It’s a family thing. There have been all kinds of families in wrestling and some of them are known by a single name. It can be a lot of fun to look back at them and see what worked, but it also means a lot when you look to the future. That can be through the next generation of wrestlers that is coming up, but week the two generations are coming together in a way that might surprise you.
This week’s NXT featured a main event of NXT Champion Bron Breakker successfully defending his title over Gunther. Following the match, Joe Gacy and Harland appeared on screen, revealing that they had kidnapped Breakker’s father, new WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner. There is no word on where this is going or when a possible match between Breakker and Gacy could take place.
That makes things more serious. Check out what happened with Breakker, Gacy and Steiner:

Opinion: There is something strange about seeing Gunther defeated and Gacy rising up as the next to..

AEW Star Receives Very Special And Unique Honor

That’s a special honor. There are a lot of titles to be won in wrestling but at some point, almost every wrestler is going to lose their championship. It isn’t something fun for them to do, but it has to happen at some point. That does not leave much for wrestlers to keep forever, but now we are getting to see someone receive a very special honor that will stick around.
Thunder Rosa has announced that Bexar County, Texas, near San Antonio, has declared that March 16 will be known as Thunder Rosa Day. The tweeted announcement included photos of Rosa with the AEW Women’s Title, receiving a plaque declaring the honor. Rosa defeated Britt Baker to win the title on March 16 in her hometown of San Antonio, marking her first championship in AEW.
Today Bexar county proclaimed 3:16 as Thunder Rosa Day!

Two Surprising Names Possibly Joining Edge’s New Stable

That would be a big double up. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster these days that it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the best options is to put some people together and give them a common story in the form of a stable. That is something we are seeing again at the moment and now we might know some of the new names joining the team.
According to Fightful Select, both Tommaso Ciampa and Rhea Ripley have been pitched as possible names to join Edge’s stable. These names are only pitches at the moment, which does not mean that they will be added to the group. Ripley has been having issues with her tag partner Liv Morgan while Ciampa recently wrestled his final NXT match. The only person to join Edge so far is Damian Priest.
Opinion: This is something that could be interesting, though I’m not sure how well such an idea would go. What matters is finding the right people for these spots and these two could make for some strong additions. The story i..

Long Awaited Return Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

It was worth the wait. There are a lot of ways to debut a wrestler but some of them can be more successful than others. It can be interesting to see what a promotion does to pique interest in a wrestler, though there are times when it seems like they are just messing with the fans. That seemed to be the case for the last several months, but now we have finally gotten somewhere.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Veer Mahaan returned to the show, attacking both Rey and Dominik Mysterio. This was Mahaan’s first appearance since September, though WWE has run vignettes hyping up his return since November. WWE reportedly stretched out his return as a way to mess with fans who were waiting on him to debut. Mahaan has been wrestling matches on Main Event since October.
Opinion: I’m not sure if it worked out in the end, but ultimately this is something that WWE had to do at some point. Mahaan isn’t someone who got to do much during his first run with the company but now we get to see what happen..

Big Match And Special Speech Take Place After Monday Night Raw

One more match. WrestleMania weekend has come and gone, meaning that the biggest wrestling weekend of the year is over. After five days of shows from WWE and other promotions, it is time to get back to normal and start doing everything as we usually do. There was still time for one final match though and it took place after Monday Night Raw went off the air.
This week’s post Monday Night Raw dark match saw Cody Rhodes defeat Kevin Owens with the Cross Rhodes. After the match was over, Rhodes spoke to the crowd about how he never had any doubt about coming back to WWE and how surreal of a moment this was. He also revealed that his cousin worked for WWE and was at the timekeeper’s area. Rhodes greeted some fans as they left the arena to end the night.
Opinion: This was a heck of a weekend with all kinds of stuff going on and it made for a very exciting few days. Rhodes returning was one of the bigger parts and it made sense for him to be the grand finale. The match was a fun way to wra..

Backstage News On The Reason For A Strange WrestleMania Surprise

That’s an interesting explanation. WrestleMania 38 has come and gone and there were a lot of major moments throughout the show. The event took over the course of two nights and that meant several memorable events were able to take place. Some of these involved surprises and betrayals, and now we know the thinking behind one of those changes, even if it is a bit odd.
One of the surprises at WrestleMania 38 saw the Miz turn on Logan Paul after the two of them defeated the Mysterios. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, part of Paul’s deal was that he would wind up being a babyface when he his time in WWE was up. Miz attacking Paul was designed to cause the turn. There is no word on if Paul will be returning to WWE in the future.
Opinion: I’m not sure how well this plan is going to work but at least there was an idea in place. Paul is not known for being a likable guy and he spent the entire match mocking the beloved Eddie Guerrero. It is going to take something bigger than Miz beatin..

Two WWE Teams Violently Split Up On Monday Night Raw

So much for that. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it makes a lot of sense to pair some of them up. That has worked out well in a lot of situations, as some of the teams and pairings have been quite the successes. Some of them are among the best things going in WWE today, but they all have to end at some point. That was the case again this week in a surprise twist.
Two different pairings split up this week on Monday Night Raw. First, the returning MVP turned on Bobby Lashley to side with Omos. Lashley and Omos were having a staredown when MVP attacked Lashley, allowing Omos to beat Lashley down and side with MVP. Later, Carmella and Queen Zelina get in an argument before their scheduled tag match, with Zelina attacking Carmella and leaving to officially end their team as well.
Opinion: The Carmella/Zelina split has been building for some time, but the MVP/Lashley split seemed to come out of nowhere. I’m not sure why they needed to be split, though Lashley has basically becom..

Title Changes Hands For The First Time Ever On Monday Night Raw

History has been made! There are a lot of titles under the WWE umbrella and it can be a big deal when one of them changes hands. It means a lot for both the company and the wrestlers involved, as things are changing in a big way for multiple people involved. If it is one of the first titles in a wrestler’s career, it can mean even more, which was the case this week.
Bron Breakker defeated Dolph Ziggler to regain the NXT Title during this week’s Monday Night Raw. The win came after Ziggler defeated Breakker to retain the title at NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday, albeit by cheating. This marks Breakker’s second reign as NXT Champion and it came in 24th career match. It is also the first time that the title has changed hands on a regular WWE main roster show.
Opinion: It was kind of a confusing few days, as Breakker lost his big title match, only to win it in his next try on a show you wouldn’t expect. That is certainly a different way to go but what matters is that the title is back wh..

WWE Star Returns On Monday Night Raw…..Kind Of

Don’t I know you? There are a lot of ways to introduce a wrestler and some of them are more interesting than others. One of the problems is that there are not very many ideas that have not been done yet and that can create a problem. It is rare to see something unique these days, though WWE might have come fairly close this week with a face you might remember.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Kevin Owens was interrupted by Ezekiel, who was formerly known as Elias. However, Ezekiel claimed to be Elias’ younger brother and had shaved his beard. Owens insisted that Ezekiel was Elias but left after threatening to start a fight. This is Elias/Ezekiel’s first appearance since August, as WWE had been attempting to come up with something new for him.
Opinion: That’s a new one on me and that is a good thing. In addition to having Ezekiel around, it is nice to do something other than just going with the same idea. I’m sure the real identity will be revealed eventually, but it is certainly a diff..
