WWE Star Missing Time Following Recent Car Accident

I’d call that an excused absence. There are a lot of reasons for a wrestler to not appear on a wrestling show and some of them are more frustrating than others. While there might be something as simple as the company not having anything for them, sometimes the reason is something a bit more serious. That is the case this week, but thankfully it seems that it could be worse.
Monday Night Raw star Dana Brooke sent out a tweet revealing that she missed this week’s show due to being involved in a recent car accident. Brooke said that she is doing good and will be back in no time without going into the specifics of what happened or any injuries she may have suffered. Brooke’s most recent match took place last week on Main Event when she lost the 24/7 Title to Doudrop, only to win it back by the end of the show.
Much ?? to the #wweuniverse for the support & love, standing up for me! The reason why I was not on RAW last night was bc I got into a bad car accident the past week, I am doing go..

WATCH: Character Literally Killed Off On This Week’s NXT TV

Say hi to the fish. With so many wrestlers on so many wrestling shows these days, it can be easy to forget about someone. It might be a wrestler who does not get that much TV time or someone who has not had the chance to really showcase themselves, but at some point they are going to have to change something. Now though, another one might not be getting the chance to do so.
This week on NXT, Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan was written off of WWE TV, seemingly being murdered by Tony D’Angelo and Stacks. Without going into detail, D’Angelo suggested that Donovan had come for the throne and was being dealt with as a result, by being thrown off a bridge and into a river. This comes after Donovan was released from his WWE contract over what was described as a policy violation. Donovan was not named in the segment.
That’s rather aggressive. Check out how Donovan was written off TV:

Opinion: I would much rather have Donovan dealt with like this rather t..

Long Time AEW Star May Be Hinting At Departure From The Company

Fare thee well? AEW has come a very long way and has done all kinds of things in just over three years of their existence. That is not something that should be taken lightly and a lot of its credit goes to the wrestlers. The company has done a great job of building up the roster, but not everyone can stick around forever. Now it seems that another of its stars may be on the way out.
Dark Order member Alan “5” Angels has blacked out his Twitter account and says that he is excited for what comes next. While not confirmed, this could suggest that Angels is on his way of AEW, as multiple stars have been leaving the company as their contracts expire. Angels has not wrestled on either Dynamite or Rampage since March. He has yet to specifically stage that he is leaving AEW.
Excited for what’s next

Opinion: Honestly, this isn’t the biggest surprise in the world, as Angels has barely been appearing in recent months. It doesn’t help that Angels wa..

Try Again Later: Monday Night Raw Match Postponed Due To Injury

That explains it. WWE has a history of changing matches at the last minute, to the point where some of them do not even take place as advertised. This can be the case for a variety of reasons but one of the most common is that WWE just changes things on a moment’s notice. That seemed to be the case again this week, but now we might know a more logical reason.
As of Monday morning, WWE was still advertising a match between Kevin Owens against either Ezekiel, Elias or Elrod. However, the match never took place with no explanation given. According to PWInsider.com, the match was not taking place due to Owens dealing with a minor injury. There is no word on what is wrong or when Owens will be back in the ring. It is not clear if the match will still be taking place down the road.
Opinion: This does at least explain things as Owens’ match not taking place due to an injury certainly makes sense. I could go for more of the story in the future as it has been entertaining enough, though I don..

WATCH: Becky Lynch Cuts Fiery Promo After Monday Night Raw

She kind of has a point. The WWE Women’s Revolution is now about seven years old and it has certainly had an incredible impact. WWE’s women’s division has come a very, very long way and it is great to see what it has become. A lot of this has been due to the main core cast of stars and now one of them had something to say this week after a major win on Monday Night Raw.
The main event of this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw saw Becky Lynch win a five woman elimination match to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match. After the show was over, Lynch cut a promo, talking about how she didn’t need a John Cena pep talk because she is the definition of Never Give Up. Lynch talked about how she has been knocked down, but this is her comeback story. She wrapped it up by saying she just beat everyone and dropped the microphone to end the night.
It was a heck of a speech. Check out what Lynch said after the show:

WRESTLING RUMORS: How John Cena Is Helping The WWE Locker Room

He serves multiple purposes. There are very few names in the history of professional wrestling who have risen to the level of John Cena. Debuting on SmackDown over twenty years ago, Cena has become one of the most famous stars in WWE history and has won just about everything there is to win in the company. It turns out that he is able to improve other aspects of the company as well.
This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw featured the return of Cena, marking twenty years to the day with the company. According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, in addition to Cena’s business boost to WWE, it is a big deal for the locker room as well. Cena is viewed as the leader and his positive nature will make things better. There is no word on when Cena will be back again.
Aside from the obvious business boost, I’m told the return of John Cena is as exciting for the locker room as it is for the fans. Cena is viewed as the ultimate leader, w/ his positive presence felt throughout the company when ..

REVIEW: Money In The Bank 2015: A Bunch Of Ladders

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Money in the Bank 2015

It’s already time to crown a new Mr. Money in the Bank, just two and a half months after Seth Rollins cashed in during the main event of Wrestlemania XXXI. In addition to the ladder match, the main event is…..another ladder match! Seth Rollins will defend his WWE World Title against Dean Ambrose after saying he doesn’t need the Authority’s help. AEW President Tony Khan Unhappy With Locker Room Leaks, Calls Them “Shameful”

The boss isn’t pleased. There are a lot of people who come together to make AEW work but perhaps the most important is the company’s president Tony Khan. In addition to being the company’s booker and financial backer, he is also the ultimate boss in the company. That means he has to be the final authority figure when something goes wrong. It seems that is the case again, at least according to Khan.
Over the weekend, news broke that Orange Cassidy was set to debut the song “Jane” by Jefferson Starship as his new theme music. This did not happen as the deal was not completed, but Khan referenced it during the Forbidden Door media scrum. Khan was not happy that the news about the new song leaked, calling such leaks “really shameful” as the entrance could have caused a pop from the crowd. He went on to say that it was ridiculous that he had to address the situation because someone in the back said something they shouldn’t have said.
Opinion: While I can understand why Khan is annoyed at ..

WWE Made A Match, Upgraded The Match And Didn’t Air The Match

They changed their minds. There are a lot of issues with WWE at the moment and one of them is their inability to present the matches and segments that they advertise. WWE has a bad tendency to change their minds on something they plan to present and it can create issues. That was the case again this week, despite a last minute advertisement of the match.
Last week on Monday Night Raw, Kevin Owens issued a challenge to either Ezekiel, Elias or their brother Elrod. Ezekiel accepted the challenge on behalf of his family and it was officially announced for this week’s show. On top of that, at 6am on Monday morning, WWE announced that the match would be a Money in the Bank qualifying match. However, the match did not take place and was not mentioned during the show, with no explanation given of why the change took place. There is no word on if the match will be rescheduled.

Kind Of Another One: AEW Star Reveals He Has Separated His Shoulder

It comes with the territory. As a physical sport, wrestlers have the chance get hurt everyt ime that they step foot in the ring. You don’t know ho long it is going to be before they are back though and that is a very scary questions. That is the case again as another wrestler has gotten hurt while on a pretty big stage, but this time he is a bit of a different kind of person.
Over the weekend at Forbidden Door, AEW’s Dax Harwood suffered a shoulder injury during FTR’s match with the United Empire and Roppongi Vice. Harwood was forced to leave during the match, though he did return with a bandage over shoulder. In his tweet announcing his injury, Harwood did not suggest that he will be missing any time. FTR are now the Ring Of Honor, AAA and IWGP Tag Team Champions.

WATCH: AEW Stars Appear On Monday Night Raw To Praise John Cena

They don’t go here. Twenty years ago Monday, John Cena made his WWE debut on SmackDown. What followed was one of the greatest careers in WWE history, as Cena has gone on to become one of the most decorated champions in the company’s history, as well as developed quite the film career. Now some of his peers are celebrating him, including some surprising names.
This week’s Monday Night Raw was focused on Cena and his history with WWE. Throughout the show, various wrestling legends appeared in videos to praise Cena in one way or another. This included current WWE names such as Randy Orton and Stephanie McMahon, former WWE names such as Booker T. and Trish Stratus, plus some current AEW names, including Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and Big Show. Other names included Kurt Angle, John Bradshaw Layfield, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
I remember them. Check out the praise for Cena:

WATCH: Wrestling Legend Reveals Why He Turned Down AEW Offer

He had a reason. The rise of AEW has changed the wrestling landscape in a positive way, as there is now a new place for wrestlers to go. This includes younger and older wrestlers, as AEW has been a new home for quite a few legends of the industry as well. Now it seems that they wanted to try to pick up another one, but got turned down due to the legend not thinking he was up to it.
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle appeared on NBC’s Ten Count podcast to discuss his wrestling career. During the interview, Angle revealed that AEW President Tony Khan offered him a contract to wrestle ten matches for AEW. However, Angle turned it down as he had recently started his supplement company, as well as feeling that he could not be his old self any longer. Angle was also offered a non-wrestling role but turned it down as well, again citing his supplement company.
There is a lot of good stuff here. Check out the full interview:
