WATCH: Bianca Belair Has Her Eye On Very Specific Film Role

She has goals. Wrestling and acting are often seen as going hand in hand despite only having a little bit to do with each other. However, there are some wrestlers who fit in rather nicely in the acting world and become quite the successes. Every wrestler turned actor has to start somewhere though and now a prominent wrestler has her eyes set on what would be a pretty big role.
In a new interview with Comicbook.com, Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair said she hopes to move into Hollywood and land the role as Storm in an X-Men movie. This is not the first time that Belair has said this, as she previously mentioned wanting the role in 2022. At the moment, there is nothing to suggest that Marvel is considering Belair for the role, or that Storm will be portrayed in a movie anytime soon.
There is a lot here. Check out the interview, plus Belair doing her more familiar job:

REVIEW: Survivor Series 2003: The Stakes Are High

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Survivor Series 2003
Date: November 16, 2003
Location: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
Attendance: 13,487
Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, Tazz
This is another big one and it’s also a one sided show. The Smackdown offerings are about as uninteresting as they could be while the Raw side looks at at least marginally better. This isn’t a great show on paper and I have a bad feeling that it’s going to be even worse as it actually takes place. Let’s get to it.

AEW Rampage Results – November 18, 2022

Rampage
Date: November 18, 2022
Location: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey
Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho, Excalibur
It’s the go home show for Full Gear and the show has quite a bit set up in advance. The main story is advancing a tournament whose finals have been moved from Full Gear to next week, which is the best option that AEW had all things considered. Other than that, we have a special guest star so let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Full Gear Contenders Tournament First Round: Ricky Starks vs. Lance Archer
We start in the back (as originally planned and with Starks in street clothes) with the two of them taking turns sending each other into a metal garage door. Archer sends a backstage worker into a bunch of chairs and now they head into the arena, with Archer dragging him towards the ring. A right hand knocks Starks most of the way over a barricade and they go into the crowd with Starks diving onto him. They get to ringside, where Archer runs hi..

Double Threat: Britt Baker Reveals Her Very Unique AEW Backstage Role

No one else could do it. There are some very talented people in wrestling and it can be fascinating to see them do their thing either in the ring or on the microphone. At the same time though, they have several other talents that you might not consider while watching them in the ring. Now one of the more prominent AEW stars is using her abilities outside the ring to help her home promotion.

Britt Baker is a former AEW Women’s Champion as well as a practicing dentist, who works at her medical practice when she is not working for AEW. According to a new interview with Muscle And Fitness, Baker revealed that anytime there is a mouth or tooth injury during an AEW match, she joins the medical team in the trainer’s room. Baker referred to herself as the “on-call dentist” for AEW. She is scheduled to face Saraya this weekend at AEW Full Gear.

He Would Know: MVP Clarifies Recent Speculation About His In-Ring Future

He would know best. Wrestlers have a difficult task when it comes to retirement. Since there is no off season in wrestling, it is easy to keep taking one more match and keep going on and on. Some of them do figure out a way to get away from the ring but you might not always see it coming. Now a current WWE star is having to explain that he is not ready to hang it up just yet.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Surprise Name Completes Men’s WarGames Match On SmackDown
Monday Night Raw star MVP recently responded to a tweet asking what is one thing he would never buy again. MVP said “wrestling boots”, which led fans to wonder if he was announcing his retirement. As a result, MVP responded, saying that he meant he would never buy another pair because he has several and was not announcing his retirement from the ring. MVP is currently managing Monday Night Raw’s Omos and wrestled his most recent match on the July 18, 2022 Monday Night Raw.

WATCH: Surprise Name Completes Men’s WarGames Match On SmackDown

He’s up next. We are less than eight days away from Survivor Series, which will feature the first WarGames matches on a main WWE roster show. There will be two WarGames matches on the show, with a men’s and women’s edition. Most of the women’s match is already set, but this week, the men’s match was not only made official, but the field was officially completed.

This week on SmackDown, the Men’s WarGames match was confirmed as the Bloodline vs. Drew McIntyre, the Brawling Brutes and a mystery partner. At the end of the show, Kevin Owens was revealed as the third man as he helped the rest of the team in a brawl against the Bloodline. WWE.com later confirmed that Owens will be the final entrant, despite Owens suffering a knee injury earlier this month.

SmackDown Results – November 18, 2022

Smackdown
Date: November 18, 2022
Location: XL Center, Hartford, Connecticut
Commentators: Michael Cole, Wade Barrett
Survivor Series is next week and odds are we find out what we are going to be getting in the men’s WarGames match. You can probably guess one of the teams but we are going to need another team to oppose them. The rest of the show could use some work too though and we might be getting something like that tonight. Let’s get to it.
Here are the Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre for a chat, likely about their officially announced WarGames match against the Bloodline. Sheamus checks his mic in a callback to last week before asking how many times he and McIntyre have been to war. They have known each other for twenty years and it has created respect between them. Sheamus even had McIntyre as the best man at his wedding three weeks ago.
The fans chant UCEY but Sheamus says they want a Brutey. Drew: “Did you just say Brutey?” Sheamus wants McIntyre to be an honorary Brute in..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 17, 2022

Impact Wrestling
Date: November 17, 2022
Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada
Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan
It is the go home show for Overdrive and that means we need to find out the other finalist in the X-Division Title tournament. Other than that, we have what should be a violent match between Eric Young and Sami Callihan, where blood is required. It should be an eventful show so let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Opening sequence.
A laughing Crazzy Steve is in the ring and asks if we can feel it. Brace yourselves for the barrage of brutality that is Black Taurus.
X-Division Title Tournament Semifinals: Black Taurus vs. PJ Black They flip around to start with neither being able to get very far. A monkey flip sends Taurus into the corner but he blasts Black pretty hard. Black is fine enough to send him outside for a big dive. Back in and a moonsault misses for Black, allowing Taurus to powerslam him for two. A Sling Blade gives Taurus two more but Black is b..

Never Too Early: Way Too Early Possible Plans For Summerslam 2023

It’s one of the big ones. WWE has been presenting pay per view events for well over thirty years now and there are several that are among the biggest wrestling shows in the world every year. At the top of the list are the Big Four, with the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Survivor Series and Summerslam. Those shows mean a lot and now we might know something else about an upcoming edition.

According to Fightful Select, Detroit, Michigan is currently a front runner to host Summerslam 2023, though no official selection has been made just yet. If Detroit hosts the show, it is not clear if Summerslam would take place in Little Caesar’s Arena or at Ford Field. The last two editions have taken place in stadium. Detroit has hosted Summerslam before, with the 1993 edition taking place at Joe Louis Arena.

High Praise: William Regal Makes Surprise Pick For “The One That Got Away”

That’s some high praise. There are wrestlers who have put together such a career and legacy that they are looked at as something of a sage. Anything they say is worth listening to and praise from them can mean quite a bit for anyone. It makes a difference if they give someone an endorsement and now one such legend is praising someone who might take you by surprise.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re Ready: Backstage Details On Elite’s AEW Return
During a recent edition of his Gentleman Villain podcast, AEW’s William Regal named former WWE star Damien Sandow as “the one that got away”. Regal said that Sandow reminded him of himself, in that he might not have been the top star in the company, but he was going to be able to make anything work. He also praised FCW for helping train Sandow, saying that FCW stars were polite, asked the right questions and were respectful, with Sandow having those qualities. Regal said that he believed Sandow would always have a job in wrestling at a high level..

UPDATE: Here’s the Latest Kevin Owens Injury Report Heading into Survivor Series WarGames

Earlier this week, it was reported by F4WOnline.com that Kevin Owens tweaked his knee during a WWE live event in Madison, Wisconsin over the weekend. The belief was that the injury was an MCL sprain,. However, Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Kevin Owens will be part of the Survivor Series WarGames match.
CageSideSeats reported this morning that Owens is rehabbing his knee at the WWE Performance Center and was consulted by WWE doctors on Monday. The report also details that the former WWE Universal Champion is still traveling with WWE and his status for tonight’s SmackDown and other shows is unknown.
Related: Kevin Owens Injured At WWE Live Event PWInsider is also claiming that Kevin Owens is scheduled for SmackDown for tonight and next week before Survivor Series. With the physical demands of a WarGames match, which he’s undoubtedly familiar, it’s unlikely that WWE officials will have him wrestling on the show. Fuego Del Sol Buys His Own Wrestling Ring to Train for Bigger AEW Matches

As people outside of the big promotions like AEW, we often forget that we see these performers for maybe 30 mins of television time per week, which could be much less for underutilized talents. If you compare this to the standard 40 hour work week, we’re seeing so little of what actually goes into becoming a star in the wrestling business.
For instance, Fuego Del Sol has been training extensively despite limited appearances on AEW programming over the course of 2022. He took to Twitter on Thursday to share his progress and goals into improving his craft as well as being prepared for any future opportunities.
I bought a wrestling ring to take my in ring training to another level.
Developed a new gym discipline. Working out 6 days a week and already see a difference in my body!
Wrestling on the indies more so I stay ring ready and prepared for bigger AEW matches.
Confidence way up! https://t.co/3rt9qzaiMn
