Kofi Kingston! Rhythmic Clapping! Sunday’s Elimination Chamber match for the Smackdown World Title was one of the most dramatic moments WWE has presented in years. Kingston was on the verge of becoming WWE Champion and while he came up short, the question now is can he actually pull off the upset. With the nothing Fastlane coming up, Bryan is going to need a challenger. Let’s get to it.
Shane McMahon comes out but during his entrance, let’s go to the video on the Elimination Chamber match. Back in the arena, Shane brings up the NXT names who made their debuts last night. They impressed him so much last night that they’re going to be here tonight as well. Cue Miz to interrupt, saying that he hasn’t slept in two days because of the guilt he’s feeling over Sunday’s loss. Miz admits to using Shane to make his dad proud and then Shane brought his ..

Kofi Kingston Not Likely For WWE Title Shot At WrestleMania, Huge List Of Options Currently Being Considered

A who’s who. Over the weekend at Elimination Chamber, Daniel Bryan was taken to the limit inside the show’s namesake match as he defended the WWE Championship. While Bryan survived and left as champion, a new star emerged as veteran Kofi Kingston came within a single pancake of becoming champion. With WrestleMania right around the corner (across the street from Fastlane), who might be next in line for a title shot?
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Kingston is currently not in line for a WrestleMania 35 title shot. Instead, WWE is looking at a list of other options for the shot, including Bray Wyatt, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, John Cena and Batista. Several of these names are not currently active due to injuries or other activities, and the plans can of course change.
Bryan’s title can be in jeopardy. Check out the champ being tortured on Sunday:

Opinion: I wouldn’t be surprised if this is changed ..

I’m Glad You Mentioned That. WWE Adds A New Detail To Women’s Tag Team Titles.

That’s an important detail to mention. On Sunday night at Elimination Chamber, the Boss N Hug Connection of Sasha banks and Bayley became the first ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This was quite the step forward for both WWE and the women’s division, which hasn’t had Tag Team Champions in about thirty years. With the new titles come a new detail though, which is quite the change of pace.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Banks and Bayley made their first comments as champions and mentioned that they would be defending the titles on Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live and NXT. This is the first mention of NXT being a possible destination for the titles, as only the main roster shows have been mentioned so far. There is no word on when the first title defense will take place.
The champs talk and get challenged. Check out the new champs’ first comments and see who is coming for the belts:

Vintage Farewell? WWE Preparing For Michael Cole’s Eventual Departure From Commentary.

Uh, so long? Believe it or not, Michael Cole has been around WWE for about twenty two years now. Having debuted as a replacement for Todd Pettengill, Cole has become a fixture on WWE television, having been the main voice of Monday Night Raw for over ten years now. At some point, that has to end though and it seems that WWE is already starting to look in that direction.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is making preparations for Cole’s eventual departure from the commentary desk. There is currently no word on when Cole is planning on leaving, and it may be years down the road. At the moment, it isn’t clear who will be getting Cole’s spot when he leaves, though Tom Phillips seems to be the most likely candidate.
Here’s one you probably haven’t heard. Check out Cole’s entrance video, complete with a very catchy song:

How Bad Is It? Update On AJ Styles’ Physical Status.

Even Phenomenal Ones can have some issues. As great as any wrestler is, they can’t fight father time. Over the course of the years, injuries are going to pile up, either through the course of something big or just simple wear and tear. When you’re a top name who is getting in the ring night after night, those injuries are going to take a toll. That’s the case with a big name at the moment.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AJ Styles worked the Elimination Chamber match with an undisclosed injury. While it isn’t clear what is wrong with Styles, he isn’t currently scheduled for any time off. Styles has wrestled or appeared on most episodes of SmackDown Live in recent weeks, including wrestling in a gauntlet match last week and in the Elimination Chamber over the weekend.
This isn’t going to help things. Check out Styles taking a really painful looking RKO inside the Elimination Chamber:

Tomorrow’s Superstars Tonight. Four A List NXT Stars Make Main Roster Debuts.

Well hello there. Over the last several years, NXT has become the hottest wrestling promotion in the world with one classic match and show after another. A lot of fans wonder how WWE and NXT can be the same company as the products are so vastly different, but it can make for some entertaining television either way. Now though, some of the stars are ready to move up to the main roster, at least for one night.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Triple H announced that Ricochet, Aleister Black, North American Champion Johnny Gargano and NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa will be making their in-ring debuts on the show in separate matches. There is no word on if this is a one off appearance or a permanent callup. The four of them have all been rumored for callups to the main roster at some point in the future.
You might need to get to know this guy. Check out this video on Gargano being back to his old self:

We’re done with Elimination Chamber but since March is a work month, we have less than three weeks before Fastlane. I have no idea what they’re supposed to do to headline Fastlane if Becky Lynch is currently suspended and Seth Rollins is being held out of the ring, but there’s a good chance they could drop the suspension so she can face Charlotte. They’ve done faster turnarounds before. Let’s get to it.
In Memory Of Pedro Morales.
Here’s HHH top open things up. HHH says it’s that time of year and we’re on the Road to Wrestlemania. The last twenty four hours should be proof of how important this time is with stuff like Sasha Banks and Bayley becoming the first ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Or Finn Balor winning the Intercontinental Title. Or Kofi Kingston getting that close to winning the WWE Championship. The fans like that more than anythin..

We’re still down in Atlanta and this time around it’s an old school feeling with the NWA World Title on the line as champion Nick Aldis defending against PJ Black. Neither of them are exactly regulars around here, but that’s never stopped ROH when guest stars are involved. We should be getting ready for a big show around here, though it’s kind of hard to tell which one it is around here. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
John Skyler, Corey Hollis and Josey Quinn (also not regulars) are in the ring and say they deserve the attention. No six man team can beat them, and here are some people to challenge that theory.

Breaking: WWE Announces First Inductees Into 2019 Hall Of Fame Class

They’re up first. There are stables and then there are stables. Some of them are rather inconsequential, but when you get to the top of the list, a stable can have as big of an impact as anything else in wrestling. A stable consisting of several names can do more than an individual just through a pure numbers advantage and that makes them all the more important. Now one of the biggest ever is being honored for their work.
As announced on WWE.com, D-Generation X will be joining the Hall of Fame in this year’s class. The stable, which first debuted in 1997, has appeared on and off in various incarnations for over twenty years with several different lineups and reunions. The graphic for the announcement shows Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws. WWE has inducted certain members of stables before, such as the Four Horsemen.
I’m sure this will be near the top of the list. Check out some of D-Generation X’s greatest hits:

Kevin Owens Had A Different Job While Recovering From His Injuries

Keeping him busy. Last week, Kevin Owens appeared in a vignette on Monday Night Raw, saying that he would be back in about a month. Owens hasn’t been in the ring since late last year due to a double knee surgery, but now it seems he’s about to get back in the ring. That’s been a lot of time on the sidelines though, and it seems that Owens has been filling some of it with a little work for the future.
According to Ringsidenews.com, Owens has spent some of his time recuperating down at the WWE Performance Center, where he has been helping coach various NXT talents with their promo abilities. Owens is well known for his promo abilities to go along with his in-ring abilities and has exchange promos with various top names. He is currently scheduled to return as a face for the first time in WWE.
Owens can talk. Check out him making something interesting out of going bowling:

AEW Isn’t The Only One With Money. Just How Much Did Impact Wrestling Offer Chris Jericho?

The bidding war continues. As you might know, AEW has thrown the wrestling world on its head with all kinds of wrestlers trying to get in on the new promotion in one way or another. This has included several promotions competing for all kinds of talent, meaning different wrestlers are hearing a lot of offers. In this case, one of the bigger names had quite the offer from a somewhat surprising source.
In a new interview with Wrestling Observer Radio, Chris Jericho talked about an offer that he received from Impact Wrestling before moving to AEW full time. Jericho said that he was offered mid seven figures (over a million dollars) for a four match series. Jericho mentioned that he was also in negotiations with WWE and New Japan, before signing with AEW. He will face Kenny Omega at Double Or Nothing on May 25.
It should be a big one. Check out Jericho signing with AEW in a cool moment:

How Did The Champions Fare At Elimination Chamber?

Some of the stops on the road. We’re less than two months away from WrestleMania 35 and that means there is a lot to be done before we get to the biggest show of the year. In this case that means two pay per views between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, with the first one of those being Elimination Chamber. Some stuff went down there, but what does it mean for the champions?
Counting the Kickoff Show, there were six title matches at this year’s Elimination Chamber event with two titles changing hands. Both the SmackDown Tag Team Titles and Intercontinental Title had new holders after Sunday, with the Usos and Finn Balor winning the titles respectively. The Cruiserweight Title, the Raw Women’s Title and the SmackDown World Title were retained.
This didn’t help things. Check out a huge crash that helped the Usos win the titles:
