Why WWE Is Not Having Invasions On The Way To Survivor Series

Not on our show you don’t. The Coronavirus has had a huge impact on the way WWE has worked this year. There are only so many ways that the company can keep things operating as usual during the pandemic and that is going to cause a lot of changes to take place. Some of these changes are various things not being around, and that will be the case during the build to a major show.
We are coming up on Survivor Series in November and that means things are going to start getting interesting in a hurry. Last year’s event was quite the show with a three way battle for brand supremacy between Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT. One of the best parts was the shows attacking each other, but we won’t be seeing that this year and for a very good reason.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there will be no invasions from one show to another this year for the sake of keeping the rosters separate. This way, if one of the rosters is infected, it will not spread over to the other show and cause mor..

205 Live Results – October 30, 2020

205 Live
Date: October 30, 2020
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph
There have actually been a few changes around here as of late, with the biggest ones being in the form of some fresh stars. I don’t believe for a second that it is going to matter in the long run, but it is nice to see something new taking place for a change. It’s certainly better than some of the things we had been getting so let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Vic: “Welcome to Boo-05 Live.”
Ariya Daivari vs. Curt Stallion Tony Nese joins commentary and yes, he and Daivari are called Originals. Stallion grabs a headlock to start as Nese doesn’t think much of these new guys. Daivari can’t get away without a pull of the hair so Stallion chops away but gets sent face first into the buckle. A belly to back suplex drops Stallion as Nese is kind of incensed over Vic offering him Skittles.
Daivari bails to the floor from the threat of a right hand but a Nese dis..

VIDEO: Undertaker Appears On The Tonight Show

That’s some exposure. There are legends in wrestling and then there are serious legends in wrestling. Some names are the kinds of people who are going to be known outside of the industry and while that is difficult to accomplish, it is something that makes a person a star for life. That is the case with someone who has recently hung up the boots, but he is still an absolute legend.
Earlier this year, the Undertaker finally retired from the ring, marking the end of a phenomenal career. Ignoring everything he did before coming to WWE, Undertaker had a remarkable thirty year run with WWE where he accomplished everything that he could have wanted. That is the kind of career that is going to be well remembered, and that is the case again, even on a bigger stage.
This isn’t something everyone gets to do. Check out Undertaker getting quite the exposure:

Undertaker was a guest on this Friday’s edition of the Tonight Show, taking part in a segment called Audience Suggestion Box. One of the ..

Main Event Results – October 29, 2020

Main Event
Date: October 29, 2020
Location: Amway Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton
It’s the post pay per view edition of the show and that means there is absolutely nothing to be seen from Smackdown. That’s one of the weird things that happens around here and while it makes perfect sense, it puts a lot of focus on Raw, which often isn’t the best idea in the world. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Tucker vs. Humberto Carrillo Tucker, now in regular trunks to show that he’s EVIL, drives Carrillo into the corner but gets caught in a headlock for his efforts. The springboard spinning crossbody gives Carrillo two but he’s right back with a belly to back suplex for the same. The chinlock doesn’t last long as commentary talks about anything but this match.
Some Junkyard Dog style all fours headbutts have Carrillo in more trouble and there’s a bodyscissors, which is rather anti-JYD. Tucker misses the falling headbutt though and Carrillo hits a dropkick fo..

AEW RUMOR: Legend Possibly Appearing At Full Gear

I’d call that a big get. One of the most exciting things to see in the wrestling world is a big jump. You never know when you are going to see someone move from one promotion to another and it can make for some of the best moments in the sport. These names can go from one place to another at the drop of a hat and the bigger the name is, often the more exciting everything can be. That might be the case again next week.
There have been a lot of legends in WWE over the years and that means they have been able to present all kinds of people in different ways. On the other hand, AEW has not been around all that long so far. They are developing a history of their own, but it is going to take time. The company has had its share of moments though, and now they might be borrowing from another one.
AEW has released a new commercial for their Full Gear pay per view which asks who will be the next major surprise to debut on the show. The commercial lists off various names who have appeared for t..

New Names Confirmed For Survivor Series Matches

The card keeps growing. We are just over three weeks away from Survivor Series and that means things are starting to pick up in a hurry. There are a lot of things going on already but several more details need to be put in place. With so many matches to come and so many spots on the card to fill, that can be quite the task, but WWE has been taking care of some things this week, including on SmackDown.
Over the last few years, the main focus of Survivor Series has been on the Battle For Brand Supremacy. Both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown will send in wrestlers to compete in a series of elimination tags, with the winners gaining bragging rights for the year. This week, Monday Night Raw added some names to its rosters and now SmackDown has begun to do the same.
This week on SmackDown, three names were set for the brand vs. brand matches at Survivor Series. First up, Kevin Owens and Jey Uso qualified for the men’s Survivor Series match by defeating Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan respect..

Wendy’s Restaurants Joins The Dark Order (They Even Have A Number)

I love a good sense of humor with wrestling. The wrestling industry is in a weird place when it comes to pop culture. Almost everyone knows that it exists and there are going to be some names known to the masses, but there are several who are complete unknowns outside of the wrestling bubble. Sometimes those names are given a little boost outside of the bubble, and that is the case again.
One of the more controversial storylines in AEW’s young history is the Dark Order. The team did not exactly start off strong but they have improved quite a bit in recent months. With Brodie Lee as their leader, the team has even picked up a little bit of gold. Things are looking up for the Dark Order and now it seems that a whole company wants to be part of the team.
Earlier this week, a fan sent out a tweet asking some wrestlers to wish him happy birthday. Also included was Wendy’s restaurants, which Chris Jericho referenced while wishing the fan a happy birthday. Wendy’s responded by asking if the..

REVIEW: Survivor Series 1995: Bring It Back

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Survivor Series 1995
Date: November 19, 1995
Location: USAir Arena, Landover, Maryland
Attendance: 14,500
Commentators: Vince McMahon, Mr. Perfect, Jim Ross
It’s time for the annual redo and I’m curious to see what we’re going to see here. We have some big stuff on the show, including Diesel defending the WWF Title against Bret Hart in a match whose result should be pretty clear after how badly Diesel’s last big title defense went. Let’s get to it.
Mr. Perfect gets a big intro to do commentary. That’s quite the diff..

WWE RUMOR: Surprising Name To Become A Top Monday Night Raw Star

Get used to him. There are a lot of people on the WWE roster and several of them are in different places after the recent Draft. The event shook things up all over the place and in some cases it gave people a fresh start, either on a new brand or against new opponents. That was a big help for some people and in once case, it might be the start of a rather nice step in their career.
One of the bigger surprises during the Draft was the return of Elias, who had been out of action for five months with a torn pectoral muscle. Elias returned on the Monday Night Raw night of the Draft and attacked Jeff Hardy, which has set up a match with Hardy at Hell In A Cell. This comes just before Elias is scheduled to release an album next week. It also might play a role in something a little bit bigger.
According to Inside The Ropes, Elias will be a fixture on Monday Night Raw and presented as one of the bigger stars on the show. Part of the reason for his move to Monday Night Raw was to allow him fo..

Austin Theory Quits NXT, Walks Out After Two Losses

So long? There are a lot of different ways to present wrestling stories and some of them are going to be more successful than others. Several of them involve winning and losing matches in one way or another, but there are a few that involve losing over and over. Sometimes these end badly, and that might be the case with a storyline currently taking place on NXT.
There are some wrestlers where you see star power as soon as they appear on screen. That is the kind of thing you don’t get to see very often because they are few and far between. It seemed to be the case with Austin Theory, who came off like a near prodigy in his early 20s. Some real life issues with the SpeakOut Movement slowed him down a bit (as they should) but now he is back, though not quite in the same way.
This week on NXT, Theory was defeated by Bronson Reed. Following the match, Theory said that he was not leaving until he defeated Reed, who then beat Theory in less than fifteen seconds. Later in the night, Theory w..

New Scary Match Set For Halloween Havoc

That sounds scary. It is October and that means that Halloween is going to get some extra attention. That is the case with the wrestling world as well and for once, WWE is capitalizing on the most well known Halloween themed name in wrestling history. On October 28, NXT is bringing back Halloween Havoc and now we have another rather creepy sounding match on the card.
There are a lot of odd people in wrestling and Dexter Lumis is one of the stranger going today. He barely ever speaks but draws various pictures, often showing someone in some kind of pain. Lumis also rarely feels pain and tends to have the same blank expression on his face most of the time. That isn’t someone you want after you most of the time but Cameron Grimes will have to deal with him next week.
This week on NXT, Grimes vs. Lumis was confirmed for Halloween Havoc in a Haunted House Of Terror match. There were no rules or explanations given for the match, which comes about after Grimes cost Lumis his shot at the Nor..

Why WWE Dropped Monday Night Raw Storyline

That’s pretty straightforward. WWE has a lot of television time to fill and that has been the case for a very long time now. What has also been the case for a very long time now is WWE having some issues filling in all that time. At some point you are going to run out of ideas or ways out of a story, which means that some of them might not have the best conclusion. This time though, one didn’t even have a conclusion at all.
Over the summer on Monday Night Raw, Angel Garza constantly hit on backstage interviewer Charly Caruso. The two showed some romantic chemistry and with Garza being pushed as a romantic, Caruso seemed interested in him. Then the story was suddenly dropped without much of an explanation. Caruso has since offered an explanation, though it might not be well received.
A fan on Twitter asked Caruso why the story with Garza was randomly stopped like so many other WWE stories. Caruso responded, saying that it too was randomly stopped, offering no other explanation and sug..
