Former Impact Wrestling Star Returning To The Company After Nine Years

Welcome back? The Women’s Revolution has changed the way the wrestling world works and those changes are not going to be reversed anytime soon. That is a very good thing, as the changes that have been made have been a very good thing for everyone involved. Women’s wrestling has come a long way but a lot of those things were set up many years before then. Now, one of those earlier names might be coming back.
While it might not be what it once was, Impact Wrestling is still around today and still doing rather well at what they do. They run national television every Tuesday night and have been doing so for some time now. The company has a history, and the Knockouts division has long since been an important part of that history. A member of that division might be making a return to the ring.
According to PWInsider.com, former Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde is scheduled to return to the company after a nine year absence. There is no word on when she will be making her return. Wilde wrest..

Update On WWE Releasing Zelina Vega, Top Union Possibly Getting Involved

That could mean something. One of the more interesting topics in recent weeks in WWE has been the company taking control of its wrestlers’ Twitch accounts. WWE has instituted a new policy saying that they will own the accounts, which the wrestlers will still use and receive most of the money that previously went to the wrestlers. This has not gone well and now we could be in for a very big next step.
On Friday, a major development in the situation took place as Zelina Vega was released from the company. Vega has been one of the most prominent voices against the policy and after learning that she was going to be released, sent out a tweet saying that she supports unionization. Forming a union has long been seen as a possible solution for the wrestlers, and now they might have someone new on their side.
After Vega was released, the President of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), Gabrielle Carteris, responded to Vega’s tweet, telling V..

Former Evolve Wrestling Star Already Getting Title Shot In WWE

He’s off to a hot start. The WWE Network has changed the way the wrestling world works in a very positive way. With so much content out there, the Network allows wrestling fans to see all kinds of content in a very short amount of time. One of the surprise features has been the addition of other promotions outside of WWE appearing on the service, allowing fans to see what else is out there. A wrestler who got his exposure in another company has since come to WWE and is already doing rather well.
In July 2019, the WWE Network featured a special event from Evolve Wrestling as the company celebrated its tenth anniversary. There were several talented wrestlers on the show that night and now that Evolve has gone out of business, a lot of them have made their way to WWE. One of those wrestlers has hit the ground running and is now in line for a title shot.
This week on 205 Live, former Evolve star Curt Stallion won a fatal five way match to become the #1 contender to the Cruiserweight Titl..

Chelsea Green Gives Update On Status After Suffering Injury

That’s just rough. There are some wrestlers who have all the talent in the world but for one reason or another, they might not be able to stay healthy. Maybe it is just pure bad luck or maybe it is something that is going wrong, but for some reason they can’t stay in the ring. That is the case with a current WWE star and now we know a bit more about what she has to deal with next.
Chelsea Green made her full time main roster debut on this week’s SmackDown. Green took part in a fatal four way match for the right to earn a spot on the SmackDown women’s Survivor Series team. During the match, Green went down with a broken wrist, which sent her to the hospital after the show was over. It was a bad situation and now things are a little big worse than expected.
The morning following her injury, Green posted on Twitter that she was heading into surgery to fix her broken wrist. There is no word on how long she will be out of action, though her previous broken wrist kept her out of action for..

Update On Brodie Lee’s AEW Whereabouts

So that’s where he went. AEW has quite a few factions throughout their roster but the Dark Order has been one of the most prominent. They have been around since the beginning of the promotion and have come a long way in their time together. Things picked up quite a bit when Brodie Lee was revealed as the team’s Exalted One but now things have slowed down a bit and now we know why.
Lee has been the big change that the team was looking for as the Dark Order needed a major star. He would go on to win the TNT Title from Cody in a complete destruction, but Cody would be back in a few weeks. This set up a huge rematch with Cody winning the title in a Dog Collar match on October 7. However, Lee has not wrestled since then and there is a reason for that being the case.
Dave Meltzer posted on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Board that Lee has been missing due to an ankle injury. It is not clear when Lee was injured either before, during or after the Dog Collar match. There is also no word o..

Two Title Changes Take Place At Turning Point

Course correction. Impact Wrestling does not get a lot of attention from fans and that is kind of a shame. The company has a lot of talented wrestlers and several of them have found their niche in the promotion. That is the kind of thing that deserves some praise and as they are coming off of their biggest pay per view of the year, they have a little momentum at the moment. Their next big event saw some important changes of its own.
Impact Wrestling has a unique format to their major shows as they only have a handful of pay per views every year but they run a major show on Impact Plus every month or so. These are near the same levels of pay per views and some of them have some pretty nice cards included. That was the case this weekend and like a pay per view, some important things actually took place.
Impact Wrestling held its Turning Point event over the weekend and two titles changed hands. First, the Good Brothers defeated the North to win the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Titles for ..

Two Former WWE Personalities Making Impact Wrestling Debuts

Welcome to your new home. The wrestling world has changed in a lot of ways as wrestling fans are now able to see almost every major promotion in the world if they choose to take the time to do so. That can offer some benefits to the wrestlers as fans can be more familiar with wrestlers arriving in a new company, which will be the case in a few weeks in an important spot.
The WWE Women’s Revolution has changed a lot of things in a good way for women’s wrestling. After spending years as a glorified side show, women’s wrestling has become far more prominent and important since the Revolution began. However, there were other wrestlers and promotions which did a lot for women’s wrestling before WWE with Impact wrestling near the top of the list. Now they are reviving the Knockouts Tag Team Titles in a tournament, which will include some former WWE talents.
During this weekend’s Turning Point event, Impact Wrestling revealed the brackets for the upcoming Knockouts Tag Team Titles tournamen..

REVIEW: Worlds Collide: Another Kind Of Brand vs. Brand

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

It’s a big night in Texas, and not just because I finally remembered that the show isn’t called When Worlds Collide. This is NXT vs. NXT UK and the card is actually stacked, with a bunch of matches that could be awesome. If they live up to the hype, it’s a show of the year contender. Let’s get to it.

More Details And Backstage Reactions To Zelina Vega’s WWE Release

It was quite the change. One of the biggest wrestling surprise of the week saw Zelina Vega released from WWE. This seemed to come as the result of Vega disagreeing with WWE’s new policy regarding the Twitch streaming service, which would see WWE take over its wrestlers’ accounts. Vega’s release seemed to come out of nowhere and now we are finding out a little more about it.
Vega was released on Friday, with the announcement coming just after she posted a tweet saying that she supports unionization. This would have seemed to be the reason for the release, but according to Post Wrestling, Vega knew of the release before she had posted the tweet. According to Fightful Select, wrestlers in both WWE and AEW were shocked and surprised by the release and were trying to find out more information about the situation. After her release was announced, Vega took to Twitter, thanking the fans for allowing her to have the last four years.
I want to say thank you all very much for the last 3-4 year..

WWE Is Bringing Back Released Employees…With A Catch

Maybe not so much. There are a lot of people under the WWE banner but over the course of the year, that number has gone down more than once. Back in April, WWE released several wrestlers and backstage workers from the company. This is not the kind of thing that you want to see happen but given how everything has changed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it should not come as a surprise. Now some of them are coming back, but things are not quite the same.
While WWE released so many wrestlers from the company, they also suggested that some of them will be brought back when the situation begins to change. Part of the problem was that it was not clear when everything was going to be back to normal, which left a lot of people hanging for a very long time. About seven months later, some of those names are back but there is a bit of a catch.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, some of the wrestlers who have been brought back to the company are being brought back for lower pay. Th..

WWE May Not Bring Back Live Events After Coronavirus Pandemic

Maybe not? The Coronavirus has changed the way all kinds of things work in the world and wrestling has certainly not been left out. It is the kind of thing that you cannot see coming and all wrestling companies, including WWE are still trying to figure out the way around the whole situation. There have been a variety of changes made, but one of the bigger changes might still be there when the pandemic is over.
Live events are one of the more important things that WWE has to offer. While they might not be the strongest financial resource for the company, they are a good way to drum up interest in the product as well as getting wrestlers in the ring for some practice and selling merchandise. That has been the case for a long time, but then the pandemic changed everything and it might not be changed back.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, wrestlers have been told that the old system of live events will not be returning even when the Coronavirus pandemic is over. WWE has al..

Independent Wrestling Star Appears To Have Signed With NXT

One more on the roster. WWE is a rather powerful wrestling company which can do a lot of good things with what they have. Their status and financial resources are very alluring to a lot of wrestlers and it is not surprising to see a lot of wrestlers wanting to be brought to the company, even if it means that they are going to be in the NXT developmental system. Another wrestler is likely to be doing just that.
While it is still the official minor league of WWE, NXT is quite the destination for a lot of wrestlers. The weekly television show is broadcast on national television every Wednesday night and the promotion features a heck of a lineup with some of the top independent wrestlers in the world having walked through the doors at one time or another. Now NXT might have picked up another name.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, independent wrestlers Alex Zayne is believed to have signed with WWE. This comes after Zayne has wrapped up his independent dates and has not ann..
