The show must go on. On tonight’s edition of WWE Raw, Lana took on Nia Jax in a match that would be a preview to this Sunday’s Women’s Tag Team Championship match at the 2020 TLC pay-per-view. However, things didn’t go as planned and now there is a slight predicament for Asuka moving forward.
According to a report from WWE.com, Lana will not be competing at this year’s event, due to an attack from Jax and Shayna Baszler, the current Tag Team champions. You can see footage of their match and the aftermath below:

What a combination. The wrestling world is in a weird place at the moment as you have WWE, AEW, and then everyone else (at least in America). That is something that is still new for wrestling as WWE had controlled the landscape for such a long time. AEW has come a long way, but they are still pretty far behind WWE. Now though, they might have some extra backup helping them.
While WWE and AEW are the biggest wrestling companies around, there are other national promotions out there. Multiple wrestling companies have national television series but they might not have the same name recognition as other promotions. Couple those together and there is some significant value. One of those companies is going to be working with AEW for the near future.

Of course they aren’t perfect and there are things that could use some adjusting, but you see something about them that makes them almost inspiring in a way. Whether you are a fan of his or not, there is no denying that John Cena was a huge star during his time in WWE. Cena was the face of the company for a very long time and did a lot of things to make WWE better. One of the things that was seen well was his charity work with Make A Wish kids, with Cena shattering the all time record for most children visited. It’s the holiday edition of the show and that is not likely to mean a single thing around here. Main Event continues to be a show that just kind of floats around, though in this case the show is going to be Raw only as Survivor Series has come and gone. Therefore Smackdown ceases to exist for this week, which could be a good thing. Let’s get to it.

We open with MizTV with , Miz and Morrison doing their usual intro by plugging everything. With that out of the way, it’s time to bring out their guests: Retribution. Well there’s your surprise. AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works in a good way. The company has opened a new stage of all kinds of wrestlers and that is a positive change for everyone involved. It gives wrestlers young and old another high level place to go and it could be very interesting to see where some of those changes are going. That was the case again this week.
There are certain people in wrestling who are absolute legends. Just by looking at them, you know who they are and almost everything about them because they have earned their reputation. That is the case with several wrestlers who do not actually get in the ring anymore, but still pop up every now and then for a special cameo. AEW offered that again with a legendary name.

Meet the new class. NXT is a rather unique wrestling promotion as not only do they exist as their own wrestling show but they are also the official developmental promotion for WWE. That means the ultimate goal of an NXT wrestler is to make the main roster, meaning that the NXT roster is rapidly changing. That is the case again, as some new names are being brought in.
There are all kinds of talented wrestlers in the world outside of WWE and AEW. Those names might not get the same kind of attention that the mainstream wrestling names get, but they are good enough to make it in a major promotion. That means that WWE is going to bring in some of those wrestlers from time to time and that is what they are doing again, with three names headlining the class.

Something has to headline. The Coronavirus pandemic has wiped out a lot of the wrestling that was scheduled to take place this year. There are only so many ways to have wrestling going when you cannot have crowds or anything close to them, which caused several wrestling promotions to shift towards Best Of shows or have nothing at all. Some of them are back though, and one of them is getting ready for their biggest show of the year.
Ring Of Honor was one of the higher profile promotions to go on hiatus for a good chunk of the year. That was quite the problem for the company as they have only been back for a few months now, leaving them without much time to get ready for Final Battle, their biggest show of the year.
