WWE Sees Something Special In Damien Priest

He got their attention. A wrestler’s introduction is one of the most important thing a wrestler can have as a good one can make them a star while a bad one can ruin their career in a hurry. Someone not making a good first impression can drag them down but if they get the right kind of attention, everything can go in the right direction in a hurry. That seems to be the case with a new WWE star.
Back at the Royal Rumble, Damien Priest made his main roster debut and had quite the showing in the men’s Royal Rumble match. That is the kind of introduction that several wrestlers have had over the years with some of the results being better than others. Priest has an interesting wrinkle to his early main roster run though and that could go multiple ways. So how is it going for him?
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE officials like Priest and have been impressed by how his time on the main roster has gone so far. Priest is seen as the potential next top Latin American star, which the ..

Elimination Chamber 2021 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

We’re on the Road To Wrestlemania and since WWE likes to have a few extra events these days, we have two pay per views before we can get there. This time around that includes Elimination Chamber, which does have something interesting with the show’s namesake matches. They’re doing something different with the two World Title matches this time around so maybe they’ll have something. Let’s get to it.
US Title: Bobby Lashley(c) vs. Keith Lee vs. Riddle Lashley is on a heck of a roll as US Champion but I’m not sure if he is going to hang onto the title here. They have done a nice job of setting up the match but that’s assuming you ignore the absence of Lee, who was not even on the go home Raw. I’m not sure if that is going to be a big deal, but at the same time, it could give them an out to retain the title because WWE doesn’t mind having Lee lose quite often.
I’ll go with Lashley retaining the title, though I’m not sure how much longer he’ll be champion. In theory he should be on the wa..

WATCH: Edge Pays Touching Tribute To Brodie Lee

That’s sweet. Back in December, the wrestling world was shaken up in a pretty horrible way as AEW star Brodie Lee suddenly passed away due to issues with his lungs. Lee’s passing came out of nowhere and left everyone pausing for a few days. AEW’s tribute to him was one of the best things any wrestling promotion has put together in a very long time. That does not mean the tributes are over though and we saw another one this weekend.
Wrestling is an international sport and there have been incredibly talented wrestlers from all over the world. While the majority of the wrestlers you see on American television are from America, you will see several other countries represented as well. One of the more prominently features in the wrestling world is Canada, and one of the bigger Canadian stars of all time paid a tribute to Lee over a special bond.
This is just great. Check out Edge’s big appearance (and notice the shirt):

WATCH: Paul Heyman Can’t Get A Word Out Of Apollo Crews

I guess not. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. Sometimes you need to mix things up a bit to find something new for them and that can cause some issues. Every now and then, these changes can be for the better and that seemed to be the case this week on SmackDown, but the followup might be a little strange.
One of the bigger stories to come out of this week’s edition of SmackDown was Apollo Crews attacking Big E. and Shinsuke Nakamura after Nakamura defeated Crews in a match. The attack came after Big E. had denied Crews another Intercontinental Title shot and told Crews to return to catering and have a seat. As a result, Crews attacked Nakamura and then used the steps to take Big E. out, even putting him on the shelf for a bit according to Kayla Braxton on Talking Smack. Now Crews has been asked about what he did, but the response was a little more complicated.
You might not need to listen. Check out Crews on Talking Sm..

AEW Star Reveals Injury Has Kept Him Out For Weeks

It happens to everyone. There are a lot of different wrestlers and wrestling promotions in the world today and some of them are a good bit higher profile than others. AEW is near the top of the list both in America and the world today and a lot of that is due to their roster. The company has some great wrestlers and now one more of them will be able to get back in the ring.
One of the best things a wrestling company can have is a wrestler who can work with anyone. Having someone so versatile can help quite a bit as you can put them with any kind of opponent and get a perfectly fine, if not rather good, match. AEW has quite a few such wrestlers and soon they are going to have another now that he is healthy after an injury.
Former AEW Tag Team Champion Scorpio Sky sent out a tweet where he revealed that he would be wrestling his first match in six weeks after suffering a torn meniscus. Sky said that he was shaking off the ring rust off and getting ready to return to the ring. During th..

WWE Possibly Signing UK Wrestler And Reality Star

Keep restocking. WWE has a lot of people on its roster and that can cause some issues over time. With so many wrestlers around, the company can have some issues with giving them all something to do. It helps a lot to have so many different rosters around, with one of them being an international branch. Now the international versions is going to be getting someone fresh.
NXT UK has come a long way in its still relatively short history. The promotion has found its rhythm and now regularly puts on a pretty solid wrestling show every single week. Part of the promotion’s strength comes from the wrestlers that they have available, which come from a pretty strong roster. That roster is going to be growing soon with another star being added.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is rumored to be signing independent UK wrestler Adam Maxted for the NXT UK brand. Maxted has wrestled for Progress, IPW: UK, Preston City Wrestling and World of Sport. In addition to his wrestling, Max..

No More: Wrestling Couple Ends Romantic Relationship

It’s sad to hear. Wednesday nights have become the battleground for the closest thing to the Monday Night Wars in over twenty years. AEW Dynamite and NXT has been going head to head for just shy of a year and a half now with Dynamite mostly getting the better of things. There are some rather strong opinions on both sides, but not everyone involved disagrees on things. Now though, things are going in a different direction for two people.
Relationships in wrestling are a hard thing to pull off as wrestlers have some rather hectic schedules. Wrestlers do not leave normal lives and it can make for a rather difficult situation. One of the easiest way to make such a situation work is for two wrestlers to get together. Now though, that is not going to be the case again for a pair of wrestlers from two different companies.
AEW wrestler Aaron Solow has announced via Twitter that he and SmackDown star Bayley have called off their engagement and ended their relationship, though the two will rem..

Impact Wrestling Results – February 16, 2021

Impact Wrestling
Date: February 16, 2021
Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: D’Lo Brown, Matt Striker
We’re done with No Surrender and that means it’s time to get moving towards Rebellion. There weren’t a ton of changes coming out of No Surrender but one of the more interesting ones saw Josh Alexander becoming the new #1 contender to the X-Division Title. The question for tonight is seeing what we’ll be seeing from AEW next. And what is up with Tommy Dreamer. Let’s get to it.
We open with a No Surrender recap.
David Finlay and Juice Robinson, better known as FinJuice, are coming from New Japan.
Opening sequence.
X-Division Title: Josh Alexander vs. TJP TJP is defending and they’re starting fast this week. They go to the mat to start and the threat of an ankle lock sends TJP straight to the ropes. Back up and an abdominal stretch has Alexander in some trouble but that’s broken up. An anklescissors takes Alexander down but he grabs an ankle lock. STRIKER: “S..

Paige Still Hopeful About Returning To The Ring

Maybe? If there is one thing that you should probably not do in wrestling, it is say never. After names like Edge and Daniel Bryan have managed to return to the ring after retiring for years on end due to various injuries, it does seem like anyone could pull off the same accomplishment. Some of these might seem more far fetched than others, but someone else is saying the same thing.
There are very few wrestlers in WWE today with the kind of story that Paige has. After being brought into WWE at a very young age, Paige became one of the more polished stars in NXT and won the first ever NXT Women’s Title. Then she debuted on Monday Night Raw and became a star there as well, to the point where a movie was made about her life. Unfortunately a neck injury ended her career, but she does not seem to have given up hope.
During this week’s SmackDown, Edge and Bryan had a conversation backstage where they discussed the possibility of facing each other at WrestleMania 37. Both liked the idea and..

RUMOR: Latest WrestleMania 37 Card

This is only a rumor, so take it for what it’s worth. Wrestlemania 37 is fast approaching and we are starting to enter the time where matches will begin to be solidified. But what can we expect from the granddaddy of them all?
According to a tweet from WrestleVotes, the following matches are currently going to be taking place:
Edge vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks for the Smackdown Women’s Championship Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt Bad Buddy in a tag team match (most likely with Damien Priest) Conversation with a source recently stated the latest WrestleMania creative meeting had Edge v Reigns, Belair v Banks, Orton v Wyatt, Bad Bunny Tag on the books w/ nearly everything else open, including the WWE title matchup. Same source stressed nothing is set in stone however.

It should be noted that nothing has been finalized at this point, and as of now, the creative team is not sure what is going t..

REVIEW: Elimination Chamber 2015: The Forgotten One

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

It’s another pay per view just two weeks after Payback but the card has been put together fairly well this time. The main event this time is WWE World Champion Seth Rollins defending against Dean Ambrose, plus the Tag Team Titles and Intercontinental Title being decided inside the Chamber, both for the first time ever. Let’s get to it.
Pre-Show: Zack Ryder vs. Stardust..
